An Excise case FIR No. 124/14 is registered at PS West on 23.07.14 U/S 39 H.P Excise Act 2011 on the Rukka of ASI Bhagat Ram I/O PS West, Shimla alleging therein that he alongwith police party was on Nakabandi duty at Tavi Mod, near Totu Shimla. At around 4.30AM one Maruti Van No HP-01S 0414(Taxi) driven by Pradeep Kumar S/o Sh. Keshav Ram R/o Village- Badli, PO- Kyar, PS & Teh. Theog, Shimla intercepted by them. During search of vehicle he recovered 60 bottles of country liquor Marka Saroor 750ml each from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Bhagat Ram, I/O PS West.

A Danger to life case FIR No. 43/14 is registered at PS Sunni on 21.07.2014 U/S 336, 504, 506, 323 IPC on the statement of Sh. Farsi Dass S/o Sh. Tikam Dass R/O Damog PO Dharogra Tehsil Sunni, District- Shimla alleging therein that on 11.07.2014 he was travelling with Khushal Rana in Car No HP51B-0991. When they reached near Gharyana then Khushal Rana started abusing him, threatened him with dire consequences and pushed him outside the car. In this incident he sustained injury. The case is being investigating by ASI Vijay Kumar I/O PS Sunni.

During last 24 hours 171 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M.V. Act. The total amount of compounding fee of challan is Rs.24,600/-
