Crime Report on Sept. 13, 2018

1. ASSAULT ON GOVT. SERVANT DURING PERFORMING HIS GOVT. DUTY: Case FIR No. 208/18 has been registered at PS Sadar Shimla on 12.09.2018 U/S 353 356 188 504 506 34 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Pankaj Rai, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla alleging therein on 12.09.2018, Inspecting staff of MC Shimla led by Addl. Commissioner (Legal) was on routine duty at Lower Bazar area to remove the illegal encroachment as per the direction issued by the Hon’ble High Court. At about 12-30 PM, when inspection team reached near Chat Shop Lower Bazar, Shimla, road bifurcate to Subji Mandi, one Shopkeeper Sh. Lalit Malhotra was found encroaching the street by displaying goods on the road. They asked him to put their articles in the shop. But he refused to remove the articles, started abusing and threatened the staff with dire consequences during performing their govt. duty. The son of Lalit Malhotra forcibly entered in the MC vehicle and taken away the goods/articles already possessed from other violators.
2. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 81/18 has been registered at PS Jubbal on 12.09.2018 U/S 279 337 IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of Sh. Badrudeen S/o Sh. Safi R/o Village Sansog PO Dhadi Rawat, Tehsil Jubbal District Shimla, age 23 years alleging therein that on 12.09.2018 at about 02-30 PM, he alongwith his niece was stood roadside near Panglapul. At the same time, an unknown Pick-Up came rashly with negligent driving and after hitting his niece run away from the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Kartar, I/O PP Sarswati Nagar.
3. During last 24 hours 286 vehicles were challaned under Motor Vehicle Act, Compounded=105 fine realized Rs. 34,200/- and 24 Persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 2400/-.

FOLLOW-UP:

1.    Accused Saurabh Sharma S/o Sh. Nanak Chand  Sharma R/o Village Satans PO Dochi, Tehsil Jubbal, District Shimla A/P Mahunta Niwas Ward No.-4, Upper Bazar, Rohru, Shimla, age 24 years arrested in Case FIR No. 124/18 Dt. 05.09.2018 U/S 354B, 354D, 506 509 323 IPC at PS Rohru, today remanded in judicial custody upto 25.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.

2.    Accused Jai Bahadur S/o Sh. Tulsi Singh Rawat R/o Village Jhajarkot,  PO Dusera, Tehsil Suanawali, District Khalanga Anchal Beri Nepal, age 19 years, arrested in case FIR No. 80/18 Dt. 10.09.2018 U/S 457 380 IPC at PS Jubbal, today released on bail by the Ld. Court.    

3.    Proclaimed Offender Santosh Kumar S/o Sh. Kirpa Ram R/o Village & PO Khayah Tehsil Taunidevi District Hamirpur, age 53 years arrested in case FIR No. 52/86 Dt. 07.05.1986 U/S 379 IPC at PS West Shimla, is remanded in police custody upto 13.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.

4.    Accused Brij Mohan S/o Sh. Shyam Singh R/o Village & PO Sareevan, Tehsil Theog, District Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 186/18 Dt. 11.09.2018 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act PS Theog, is remanded in police custody upto 14.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.

5.    Accused Shingra Ram S/o Sh. Jaggan Nath R/o Village Alipul PO Rudki, Tehsil Garhshankar, District Hoshiapur, Punjab, arrested in case FIR No. 184/18 Dt. 12.09.2018 U/S 457 380 34 IPC at PS Dhalli, is remanded in police custody upto 15.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.

6.    Accused Vijay S/o Sh. Jutha Ram R/o Village Chediya PO Chandan Choki Tehsil Paliya PS Gauri Phanta Disrict Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh, age 25 years arrested in case FIR No. 48/18 Dt. 03.08.2018 U/S 341 323 325 504 506 IPC at PS Kotkhai, is remanded in police custody upto 14.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.
