Crime Report on February 25,2016

1. An ND&PS Act case FIR No. 15/16 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 24.02.2016 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of SI Dharam Sain Negi, SHO PS Kotkhai, Shimla  alleging therein that on 24.02.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling & Traffic checking duty at Hulli. During checking, one person namely  Budhi Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Ram Dass R/o Village Kothari, P/o  Ghoond, Tehsil Theog Distt. Shimla HP, intercepted by them & recovered 2.522 Kg. charas from his possession.  Accused has been arrested and the case is being investigated by SI Dharam Sain Negi, SHO PS Kotkhai Distt. Shimla

2. An Accident case FIR No. 63/16 has been registered at PS West on 24.02.2016 U/S 279, 337 IPC& 187 MV Act on the statement of Sh Jaswinder Singh S/o Sh Preetam Singh R/o village Daulat Pur P/o Bajeer Pur  Tehsil Chakroul Sahib  Distt Ropar Punjab A/P C/o Yogesh Verma Building Near Railway Station Shogi alleging therein that on 24.02.2016 at Shogi Bazar a vehicle No.HP-07D-6006 came rashly and hit him  and run away. The case is being investigated by ASI  Pratap  I/O PS West.

3. An Accident case FIR No. 64/16 has been registered at PS West today on  25.02.2016 U/S 279, 337 IPC on the statement of Smt. Kiran Angirash W/o Sh. Sanjeev Angirash R/o Village Rainu, PO Chalog, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla A/P Karan Niwas, below Agriculture Office at Tutikandi Shimla, age 38 years stated therein that today morning she alongwith her neighbourer Ranjana Mehta was going to Treasury Office Shimla. When they reached near ISBT, Tutikandi, at the same time one car No. HP-62A-0908 driven by Gagandeep, came rashly & hit Smt. Ranjna Mehta and she sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Basu Dev, I/O PS West.  

4. An Accident case FIR No.36/16 has been registered at PS Rampur on 24.02.2016 U/S 279,337IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of Sh. Prem negi S/o Sh. Binder Negi R/o vill Bada khamba Po.Chota khamba tehsil- Nichar Distt- Kinnaur alleging therein  that  on 24.02.2016 at about 4.15 PM he alongwith Sonam Dorje was going to Rampur from Nhaneri in Motorcycle No HP-27A-0880. When they reached near Gaura bifurcation NH-05, at the same time One Vehicle No.HP-10A-0341 came rashly & collide with his Motorcycle and run away from the spot. In this accident they  sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by ASI Karam Chand I/C  PP Rampur City.

5. An Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions case FIR No 18/16 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 24.02.2016 U/S 341,186,143 IPC on the complaint of Sh Devi Dass Thakur S/O Lt. Sh. Daulat Ram R/O Seri PO Taklech Distt. Shimla A/P Forest Range Officer Forest Division Sarahan alleging therein that  on 24.02.2016 when he was going to Rangori along with Naib Tehsildar Rampur, forest Kanugo, patwari & other officials of police staff of Sarahan chowki to remove illegal possession from forest land by the order of forest Sub-Divisional Officer.  Pardhan & Vice Pardhan of GP Shahdhar Alongwith 80-90 persons (males or females) came there, obstructed their way & obstruct them to perform their govt. duty. The case is being investigated by HC Dola Ram I/O PP Sarahan.

6. During last 24 hours 445 vehicles challaned under MV Act,  Total Challan compounded =218 & fine realized Rs. 89,400/- and 105 Persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 11,050/-

   Inquest Report

   On 24/02/16 deceased Vidya sagar S/o Sh. Shiv Ram R/o Jada P/o seema Tehsil Rohru Distt Shimla HP age 44 years who was under treatment at CHC Rohru, due to fell down from stairs near his home, has been died. After conducted autopsy at CHC Rohru, his dead body handed over to his relatives for cremation.

   Recovery of Stolen Property

   One Alto Car Valued to Rs 90,000/- has been recovered from Banjar Road near Anni Distt. Kullu on the instructions of accused Sagar Thakur & Aman Thakur in case FIR No. 92/2015 U/S 379 IPC at PS East Shimla.

   Follow-Up:

1. Accused Mohammad Sharif  S/o Mohammad Gguljar R/o Vill. Koti Chadiyar PO.  Sujan Cchalog Teh. Bani,Distt. Kathua J&K age 45  has been arrested in case FIR No. 26/16 Dt. 20-02-16  U/S  454,380 IPC  at PS Theog, released on bail by the Ld. Court.

2. Accused i) Sagar Thakur @ Honey S/o Sh. Ranveer Thakur R/o Village & PO Jadoltaproli, Tehsil & PS Rajgarh, Distt. Sirmaur, HP A/P Bishan Bhawan near BSNL Office Jawahar Park Solan, Age 20 years and ii) Aman Thakur S/o Sh. Nek Ram Thakur R/o House No. 59, Ward No. 13, Sunny Side Court Road, Solan, age 21 years, arrested today in case FIR No. 92/15 Dt. 14.10.15 U/S 379 IPC at PS East, are on police remand up to 26.02.2016.

3. Accused Ankush Chauhan S/O Sh. Tek Chand R/O VPO Kadiwan Tehsil & PS Rohru Distt. Shimla HP age 22 years arrested in case FIR No. 17/16 U/S 457, 380, 427, 436 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act at PS Rohru, send to judicial custody by the Ld Court.

4. Accused Snehlata Sharma W/O Sh. Yog Raj Sharma  R/o Mandhetar P.O Rangas Tehsil District Hamirpur Age 50 arrested in case FIR No 24/2016 U/S 363, 366, 376 IPC and 4 POCSO Act PS East Shimla today sent to judicial remand by the Ld. Court.

5. Accused Kushal Verma S/o Sh. Devender Verma R/o Village Yaan, PO Sadhupul, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla, Age 24 years, arrested in case FIR No 35/16 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS at PS Sadar is being produced before Ld court, today.

6. Accused Budhi Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Ram Dass R/o Village Kothari, P/o  Ghoond, Tehsil Theog Distt. Shimla HP, arrested in case FIR No. 15/16 Dt. 24.02.16 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kotkhai, is being produced before Ld. Court today.
