Crime Report on Dec. 21, 2016

1. An Accident case FIR No. 391/16 has been registered at PS Sadar on 20.12.2016 U/S 279,337 IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of  Harmilan S/o Sh. Devinder Singh R/o Top Floor, Ena Lodge, Dingal Estate near Kaithu, Shimla stated therein that on 20.12.2016 at about 07-00 PM, one Mahindra XUV hit him near Apsra Hotel, Cart Road Shimla and run away from the spot, caused sustained injuries to him on right leg. The case is being investigated by HC Sunil, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla. 

2. A Wrongful Restraint & Criminal Intimidation case FIR No. 218/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 20.12.2016 U/S 341,323,504,506,427,34 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Manoj Kumar S/o Sh. Mansa Ram R/o Village Kath (Tarapur), Tehsil Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 20.12.2016, he alongwith his friend was going to Tarapur from Kotkhai in his vehicle No. HP-09C-1450. On the way near Balghar, one Person namely Monu obstructed their way by stopped his Pick-Up in front of his vehicle. After that he alongwith Sagar & Sodi abused & scuffle with them. They have also beaten them brutally and threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by HC Inder Singh, I/O PP Chhaila.

3. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 219/16 has been registered at PS Theog today on 21.12.2016 U/S 341,323,504,34 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Surender S/o Sh. Moti Ram R/o Village Bajroli, PO Baldhar, Tehsil Theog, Shimla stated therein that he is running a Bar vender at Sainj. On 20.12.2016, at about 09-00 PM, when he was closing the Bar, at the same time one Mr. Manoj Kumar alongwith his friend came there in influence of alcohol and forced him to open the Bar. On his refusal, Manoj Kumar & his friend abused him and beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by HC Ashok Kumar, I/O PP Sainj.   

4. During last 24 hours 381 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 145 & fine realized Rs. 48,600/- and 80 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 8,200/-.   

Inquest Report                                                                                       

1. Deceased Shiv Singh S/o  Sh. Devi Ram R/o Village Ganga Nagar, PO Shilan, Rohru Shimla, age 61 years, who was a heart patient and had come to IGMC Shimla for treatment & last night stay at Poonam Hotel Middle Bazar, Shimla  and was found dead this morning.

1. Accused Atul Sharma  S/o Sh. Murari Lal Sharma R/o Village Bhujpura, Thakur wali Gali, PO Jaigaj, Tehsil & Distt. Aligarh, UP A/P Tenant C/o Kundan R/o Vandana Enclave, near Cement Agency, Khoda Colony, Gajiabad, UP, arrested in case FIR No. 121/16 Dt. 08.12.2016 U/S 420 IPC at PS East, further remanded in Police custody upto 24.12.2016, by the Ld. Court.
