Police-Bankers meeting for reviewing the security arrangements in banks and ATMs was held today on 12.01.15 at Hotel Combermere, Shimla, under the chairmanship of Sh. Bhajan Dev Negi, Addl.SP (City), along with Sh. Balbir Jaswal, Dy. SP(City) Shimla, which witnessed the presence of all the SHOs and I/C PPs of Shimla City, 68 representatives of different banks.
Manifold discussions were held on all aspects of existing security arrangements in the banks, especially in the ATMs for ensuring the safety of the public money. Stress was laid on strengthening the security arrangements and installation of modern gadgetry for ensuring the same. Police assured to reduce the response time to 15 minutes in case of any report of ATM theft or bank robbery etc. The meeting witnessed bilateral conversation from both the sides on technical aspects with a very cohesive approach.
