Crime Report 16 January, 2015

1. A ND&PS Act case FIR No. 19/15 is registered at PS West today i.e. 16.01.2015 U/S 21,22-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Mast Ram, I/O PS West stated therein that on 16.01.2015, during patrolling duty, one person namely Vijay Kumar Bhatia @ Gattu S/o Late Sh. Lal Chand Bhatia R/o Lal Niwas, Sandal Chakkar, Shimla, age 30 years intercepted by them. During search, he recovered 3 bottles of Correx syrup & 200 tablets of Nitrozepam Nirosun-10 (restricted medicine) from his possession. Above accused has been arrested by the police and case is being investigated by ASI Mast Ram, I/O PS West.

2. An Excise Act case FIR NO 13/15 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 15.01.2015 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the ruka of ASI Chering Dorje I/C PP Sarahan stated therein that on 15.01.2015 at about 03.30 PM he along with staff were on patrolling duty. At about 03.30 PM, when they reached near Gharat, one person namely Gokul Ram S/O Sh. Kutu Ram R/O Rangori PO Sarahan Tehsil Rampur Distt. Shimla intercepted by them. During search he recovered 12 bottles country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Chering Dorje I/C PP Sarahan.

3. A Burglary case FIR No. 18/15 has been registered at PS West on15.01.15 U/S 328 381 IPC on the statement of Sh. Om Prakash S/O Sh. Gurdita Mal R/o Harsha Hotel, Chaura Maidan Shimla alleging therein that one person namely Vipender Uniyal R/o Haridwar works in his hotel Harsha at Chaura Maidan. On 15.01.2015, he mixed some intoxicated substance in their breakfast and stolen away two diamond bangles, three diamond finger rings, one imported watch in golden colour and cash Rs. 80,000/- from his almirah. The case is being investigated by SI Vimochan Negi, I/O PS West.

4. An Accident case FIR No. 14/15 is registered at PS Theog today i.e. 16.01.2015 U/S 279, 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Rajender Singh S/o Sh. Sahi Ram Sharma R/o Village Kamultha, PO Ghoond, Tehsil Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 15.01.2015, his Nepali servant namely Mani Ram @ Monu went towards Sainj, but not returned back to home. On 16.01.2015, his neiborer told him that an unknown vehicle crushed his servant Mani Ram near Balghar and he died on the spot. The case is being investigated by ASI Sunil Kumar, I/O PS Theog.

5. During last 24 hours Total 187 vehicles challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act & 01 Challaned under Mining Act. Total challan compounded= 96 and the fine realized Rs. 27,700/-

1. Accused Vijay Kumar Bhatia @ Gattu S/O Late. Sh. Lal Chand Bhatia R/O Lal Niwas Chakkar Shimla -5, Age- 30 year has been arrested in case FIR No. 19/15 Dt. 16.01.15 U/S 21,22-61-85 ND&PS Act PS West.
