Crime Report 19 January, 2015

1. A ND&PS Act case FIR No. 22/15 is registered at PS West today i.e. 19.01.2015 U/S 20,29-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of SI Virochan, I/O PS West Shimla stated therein that during the intervening night of 18/19.01.2015, he alongwith staff on Nakabandi/Traffic Checking duty on NH-22  near PWD Workshop.  At about 12.05 AM, one vehicle No. HP-08A-0669 (Manindera Bolero) intercepted by them.  Four persons namely Gurudutt (Driver) S/o Sh. Mangal Singh R/o Village Dharewali, PO Khagna, Tehsil Chopal, Distt. Shimla, Anil Kumar S/o Sh. Ravinder Singh R/o Village & PO- Khagna, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla, age- 26 years, Rinku Chauhan S/o Sh. Padam Singh r/o Village Lihat, PO Sari, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla and Rajinder S/o Late Sh. Jeet Singh R/o Village Lihat, PO Sari, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla age 34 years sat inside the vehicle. During search, he recovered 1.100 Kg. charas from the bag of Anil Kumar. The case is being investigated by SI Virochan, I/O PS West.
2. An Excise Act case FIR No. 15/15 has been registered at PS Theog on 18.01.2015 U/S 39 HP Excise Act  on the rukka of Insp. Gauri Dutt, SHO PS Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 18.01.2015, he alongwith staff was on patrolling duty towards Matiana. During patrolling duty one person namely Mast Ram S/o Sh. Nath Ram R/o Village Taleen, PO Matiana, Tehsil Theog, Shimla intercepted by them. During search, he recovered 06 bottles of country liquor marka Una No. 01, from his possession. The case is being investigated by Insp. Gauri Dutt, SHO PS Theog.
3. An Accident case FIR No. 03/15 has been registered at PS East on 18.01.2015 U/S 279,337 IPC on the rukka of SI Ajay Kalia, SHO PS East Shimla stated therein that on 18.01.2015, he received an information about accident near Charlie Villa. On this information, he alongwith staff rushed to the spot and found that one Maruti Car No. HP-03B-0258 met with an accident near Charlie Villa and rolled down 40/45 feet from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Sh. Ravinder Randeva S/o Sh. Durga Dass R/O A-III/2, Nabha House, Shimla, age-78 years. Above person sustained injuries in this accident. The case is being investigated by SI Ajya Kalia, I.O. PS East.
4. A Burglary case FIR No. 04/15 is registered at PS East today i.e. 19.01.2015 U/S 457, 380 IPC on the  statement of Sh. Dharmpal Sharma stated therein that during the intervening night of 18/19.01.2015, some unknown person has broken the lock of Danpatra and stolen away cash Rs. 35/40 thousand form Jakhu Temple in Shimla. The case is being investigated by HC Harish Kumar, I/O PS East
5. During last 24 hours Total 99 vehicles challaned by Shimla police under MV Act. Total Challan compounded= 37 and Fine realized Rs. 15,900/-

Follow-Up

1. Four accused namely Gurudutt (Driver) S/o Sh. Mangal Singh R/o Village Dharewali, PO Khagna, Tehsil Chopal, Distt. Shimla, Anil Kumar S/o Sh. Ravinder Singh R/o Village & PO- Khagna, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla, age- 26 years, Rinku Chauhan S/o Sh. Padam Singh r/o Village Lihat, PO Sari, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla and Rajinder S/o Late Sh. Jeet Singh R/o Village Lihat, PO Sari, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla age 34 years have been arrested in case FIR No.22/15 Dt. 19.01.2015 U/S 20,29-61- ND & PS Act at PS West, are on police remand upto 21.01.2015.

2. Accused Vijay Kumar Bhatia @ Gattu S/o Late Sh. Lal Chand Bhatia R/o Lal Niwas, Chakkar, Shimla-5, age 30 years arrested in case FIR No. 19/15 Dt. 16.01.15 U/S 21,22-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS West, Shimla, sent ot judicial remand upto 27.01.2015.

3. Two accused namely Najeem Ali S/O Sh. Habib Munshi R/O Vill & PO Madan, Tehsil Samal Muradibaad Utter Pradesh Age 20 Year and   Ram Nayan S/O Sh. Man Bhavan Singh R/O Vill Ganeshpur, P.O Mathanvidna, Tehsil Rodoli, Distt. Faijabaad Utter Pradesh Age 23 Year have been arrested today in case FIR No. 04/15 Dt. 19.01.2015  U/S 457, 380 IPC PS East.
