CRIME REPORT 29 MAR.


1.      A case FIR No. 28/13 dated 28.03.2013 u/s 18, 20, 22 ND & PS Act is registerted at Police Station East Shimla on the report of Dy. SP/SHO Navdeep that during patrolling/checking at Mehli on 28.03.2013 at about 6.00 PM, a Aulto Car No. HP52-3913 was checked and 9 strips of Nitro sun, 346 gms Poppy Straw and 2 gms charas was recovered from the possession of Gurpreet Singh s/o Dharam Singh village Kalta Niwas Mehli Kasumpti.  

2.      A case FIR No. 57/13 dated 29.03.2013 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act is registered at Police Station Sadar Shimla on the report of HC Anil Kumar I/O PS Sadar that when he has proceeded for the search of a missing person, he recovered 12 bottles country liquor from the possession of Akash s/o Vijay Gill R/O 128. Labour Hostel Krishna Nagar Shimla.

3.      A case FIR No. 54/13 Dated 28-03-2013 U/S 353, 332 IPC is registered at Police Station Rampur on the application of Sh. Prem Singh S/O Sh. Jagar Singh Vill. Dhansha PO Khamadi S/T Nankhari A/P Conductor HRTC Tata Devi Depot Shimla HP alleging therein that on 25-03-13 he was deputed on Khamadi Shimla root for duty. When he reached near Gahan one person Rinku S/O Nikka Ram R/O Vill. Gahan S/T Nankhari Distt. Shimla, who was suiting in the bus was asked for ticket but Rinku refused to take the ticket and he beat the conductor and deterred him from discharging his duty. The Case is being investigated by ASI Hari Singh I/C PP Nankhari.

4.      A Case FIR No 36/13 Dated 29-03-2013 u/s 279, 341 IPC is registered at Police Station Kumarsain on the report of ASI Mohan Lal I/C PP Sainj stating therein that at 9.00 A.M when he was on patrolling duty along with staff at Bithal one vehicle No. HP25-0005 coming from Rampur side and another vehicle Maruti car No HP32D-0929 which was also coming from Rampur and tried to overtake vechcle No. HP25-0005 obstructed the VIP (Smt. Pratibha Singh) movement. The case is being investigating by ASI Mohan Lal I/C PP SAINJ.

5.      During last 24 hours, 184 vehicles were challaned by shimla police under motor vehicle act for the violation of traffic rules, 08 persons were challaned under COTPA (cigarette and other tobacco product act, 2005). The total amount of compounding fee of challans under M.V. Act and COTPA is Rs. 31,700/-.la
