1. A case under Telegraph act is registered at Police Station Sadar on 13.03.2013 u/s 25 Indian Telegraph Act & 379 IPC on the online complaint of Sh. Vikram Sood, JTO (N) CPO Building, The Mall Shimla alleging therein that during the intervening night of 10/11.03.2013, some unknown persons stole 20 pairs Cable measuring approximately 100 mtrs. from the working line between ladies Park and Jodha Niwas. The approximate cost of stolen cable is Rs. 4000/-
2. During last 24 hours, 141 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under Motor Vehicle Act for the violation of traffic rules. 05 persons were challaned under COTPA (Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act, 2005). The Total amount of Compounding Fee of Challans under M.V. Act and COTPA is Rs. 40,900/-.
