CRIME REPORT 15 MAR.

 

Arrest of accused and recovery of case property:

 

1.      On 15.03.2013. accused Kamal Kumar S/o Sh. Balvinder  Singh, R/o Village Haratyanger, P.O. Dangar, Teh Ghumarwin, District Bilaspur  has been re-arrested by PSI Babu Ram and ASI MAnohar Lal from Bhota, District Hamirpur in case FIR No. 7/13 dated 07.01.2013, U/S 382,380 IPC registered at Police Station Dhalli alongwith one Nek Bahadur Goldsmith, main Market Baldwara and stolen property one Nikon camera, gold pandle and gold ear pins were recovered from them. The above accused had managed to escape from police custody on 21.01.2013 at Manimajra when he was being taken towards Amritsar and Jirakpur in connection with the investigation of above case and consequently a case FIR No. 33/13 U/S 224 IPC was also registered at Police Station Manimajra against the above accused.

 

Arrest of accused and recovery of case property:

 

2.      Accused Dhyan Singh S/O Suba Ram VPO Bali Tehsil Shillai, District Sirmour has been arrested in case FIR No. 39/13 u/s 457, 380 IPC Police Station West, Shimla and stolen property of Rs. 4.5 lakh has been recovered from him.

3.      A case under ND&PS Act is registered at Police Station Rohru on 14-03-2013 U/S 21-61-85 ND&PS ACT 92 bottles of contraband drugs were recovered from the possession of Ankit Chauhan S/O Sh. Amar Singh R/O Village Gujandli Po Tikkar Teshil Rohru Distt. Shimla Hp At Thanakainchi. Tehsil Rohru.

4.      A vehicle accident case is registered at Police Station Rohru on 14-03-13 u/s 279, 337 ipc on the report of I/C PP City Rohru that on 14-03-13 at 7-00 pm,  Vinod Kumar S/O Kushi Ram R/O Mehra Tehsil Rohru was going to Rohru to his home Mehra in Maruti car No. hp10-a-3792 and when they reached  Shikripul above car met with an accident and he sustained injuries. This accident took place due to rash and negligent driving by Vinod Kumar.

5.      A Burglary Case  is registered at Police Station Dhalli on 15-03-13 U/S 457, 380 IPC has on the statement of Sh. Santosh Kumar S/O Sh Bakshi Ram R/O Flat No -6 block No-III H.B Colony Sanjauli Shimla -6 alleging therein that he is MD in Distt. Hospital Hamirpur & had his own Flat in Housing Board Colony Sanjauli Shimla. On 14-3-13 he was telephonically informed by his neighbour Anuj that attempts to break the locks of his house were made. On reaching his house he found that the windows of the flat were broken and CD Player & DVD player & a sound system were found stolen by someone. Total value of stolen property is Rs 25,000/- approximately.  

6.      A vehicle accident case is registered at Police Station Nerwa on 14/03/2013 u/s 279, 337 ipc on the statement of Sh Dharma Ram S/O Sh Jaiyan Ram Vill Kyar Po Nerwa Tehsil Chopal Distt Shimla stating therein that in the evening of 14^th March, he was going alongwith his relatives to village Palo in a vehicle Tata Sumo No. hp 08a 0343. When the vehicle reached near Shamtha, it met with an accident in which 17 persons were injured. This accident took place due to rash and negligent driving by driver Surat Ram R/O Vill Bharton Tehsil Chopal. 

7.      A vehicle accident case is registered at Police Station East on 14-03-2013 on the statement of Sh. Pardeep Sharma S/O Parkash Chand R/O Lagval kuteer Malyana Shimla stating therein that on 14-03-13, when he was going from Mehli to Malyana with his friends in vehicle No. HP52A-1910, A tipper No. HP63-6979 coming from opposite side hit his vehicle.

 

Unidentified dead body:

8.      On 12.03.2013 at about 12.30 PM, M.C. PP Luhri, District Kullu telephonically informed Police Post Sainj, District Shimla that an unidentified dead body is laying near Luhri Bridge. On this information Police visited the spot and found a dead body near Luhri Bridge in the water. The dead body was taken to CHC Kumarsain and was kept there in dead house for identification and information and description of deceased was also flashed to all Police Stations/Police Posts of Shimla District. The Height of deceased is 5'5'' who is wearing red T-shirt. The postmortem of deceased has been conducted on 13.03.2013 and is kept in the dead house of IGMC for identification. 

9.      During last 24 hours, 59 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under Motor Vehicle Act for the violation of traffic rules. 05 persons were challaned under COPTA (Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act, 2005). The Total amount of Compounding Fee of Challans under M.V. Act and COTPA is Rs. 6000/-.
