Crime Report on May 30, 2017

1. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 73/17 has been registered at PS New Shimla on 29.05.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act alleging therein that on 29.05.2017 at about 11-30 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Prem Kumar S/o Sh. Veer Singh R/o Village & PO Hadaboi, Tehsil Sundar Nagar, Distt. Mandi A/P Onkar Niwas, Lower Khalini, Shimla, age 29 years apprehended by them near Forest Rest House & recovered 84 Bottles of illicit Country liquor marka Una No.-1 from his possession. The case is being investigated by SI Mahender Singh, I/O PS New Shimla.  

2. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 85/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West on 29.05.2017 U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Karunjeet Singh S/o Lt. Sh. Dharmender Pal Singh R/o House No. 67, Jutogh Cantt Tehsil & Distt. Shimla, age 30 years alleging therein that on 29.05.2017 at about 02-30 PM, one vehicle No. HP-01A-6043 (Omini Van) met with an accident near Gurudwara and rolled down from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Naresh Kumar. In this accident four school children & 03 persons sustained injuries. All are shifted to MH Jutogh, where two children namely Harsh & Karn declared brought dead and one person namely Rajkumar died at IGMC Shimla. The case is being investigated by SI Shiv Kumar, I/C PP Jutogh, Shimla. 

3. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 48/17 has been registered at PS Rohru on 29.05.2017 U/S 279, 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Ravinder Mehta S/o Sh. Gopal Mehta R/O Lower Sharmali PO Sungri Teh. Rohru Distt. Shimla stated therein that on 29.05.2017, he was going back to home village Sharmali from Pujarli along with Surender Mehta and Babu Ram in a vehicle No HP10A-9073 (Mahindra KUV). At about 06-30 PM, when they reached near Summerkot Rohru, above vehicle met with an accident due to rash & negligent driving of Surender Mehta. In this accident, they all sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Ankit, I/O PS Rohru.

4. A WRONGUFL RESTRAIN: Case FIR No. 86/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West today on 29.05.2017 U/S 341, 323, 504 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Virender Kumar S/o Sh. Shammi Kumar R/o near RTO Office, Tutikandi Shimla, HP, age 19 years alleging therein that on 29.05.2017 at about 07-30 PM, he was going to home from Chaura Maidan. On the way, three persons came in vehicle No. HP-07D-0368 and obstructed his way. They have abused him and also beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by ASI Dev Raj, I/O PS Shimla West.  

5. During last 24 hours 309 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 184 & fine realized Rs. 75,200/- and 31 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 3,100/-.
