Crime Report on May 17, 2017

1. A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 74/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West today on 17.05.17 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Dev Raj, I/O PS Shimla West alleging therein that on the intervening night of 16/17.05.2017 at about 02-30AM, during patrolling alongwith staff one person namely Vikram Thakur S/o Sh. Gian Chand R/o Village & PO Basal, Tehsil & Distt. Solan, Age 29 years intercepted by them near ISBT Bifurcation Tutikandi and recovered 1 gram Chitta (Mephedrone) a product of Cocaine from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Dev Raj, I/O PS Shimla West.

2. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 75/17 has been registered at PS Shimla East today on 17.05.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Prem Singh, I/O PS Shimla East alleging therein that today on 17.05.2017 at about 03-10 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff near Badagaon, one person namely Nitya Nand S/o Sh. Jeeva Nand R/o Village Shahot, Tehsil Karsog, Distt. Mandi, age 34 years apprehended alongwith 12 Bottles of illicit Country liquor. The case is being investigated by ASI Prem Singh, I/O PS Shimla East.

3. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 73/17 has been registered  at Shimla  West today on 17.05.2017 U/S 279,337 IPC & 187 M.V. Act on the statement of Sh. Satya Prakash S/o Sh. Hari Charan R/o Village & PO Durgapur, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla A/P Vidya Bhawan Lower Chakkar, Shimla, age 42 years alleging therein that on 16.05.2017, he alongwith his wife was going to quarter from Chakkar in his Motorcycle No. HP-52A-1161. At the same time a Pick-Up No. HP-31A-7084 came rashly in wrong direction from Shimla side and after hit his Motorcycle, run away from the spot. In this accident they sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Laiq Ram, I/O PS Shimla West. 

4. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 31/17 has been registered at PS Chopal on 16.05.2017 U/S 279 304A IPC on the rukka of HC Pritam Singh, I/O PS Chopal, Shimla alleging therein that on 16.05.2017 one Alto Car No. HP-08C-2226 on the way towards Nerwa, met with an accident near Dhabbas and rolled down from the road due to rash & negligence driving of Sh. Prem Chand S/o Sh. Puria Ram R/o Village Dadkandli, PO Bamta, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla and died on the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Pritam Singh, I/O PS Chopal.

5. CRIMINAL BREACH OF TRUST: Case FIR No. 77/17 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 16.05.2017 U/S 406 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Ram Gopal A/P Inspector in HRTC at Rohru Shimla alleging therein on 23.04.2017, during the checking of Bus No. HP-10A-2989 by RM HRTC Shimla, Rohit Sharma S/o Sh. Rajender Kumar R/o Village & PO Kupri, Tehsil Rohru, Shimla, who was performing  the duty of Bus Conductor as HRTC Skill Development Trainee, was caught red handed by dishonesty misappropriating the money, which should have accrued to the HRTC fund. The case is being investigated by HC Tulsi Ram, I/O PS Kotkhai.

6. A GRIEVOUS INJURY: Case FIR No. 72/17 has been registered at PS Shimla  West on 16.05.2017 U/S 325 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Rohit Negi S/o Sh. Lal Chand R/o Village Inder Nagar, Dhalli, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla A/P Student in HP University, Summer Hill Shimla, age 23 years alleging therein that on 26.04.2017, he came to HP University Summer Hill Shimla to attend the "Welcome Programme" , where Sudarshan @ Rinkal beaten him brutally. On this he was medically examined at DDU ZH Shimla. On 16.05.2017, final opinion has been received in his MLC, in which Medical officer has given grievous injuries to him. The case is being investigated by ASI Ashwani Kumar, I/C PP Summer Hill Shimla.

7. A CHEATING: Case FIR No. 87/17 has been registered at PS Theog on 16.05.2017 U/S 420 467 468 471 120B IPC on the complaint of  Ex. Pradhan Gram Panchayat Tiyali, Theog Shimla alleging therein that Sh. Rajender Chandel- GP Tiyali alongwith Sh. Rakesh Verma & Sh. Dhyan Singh- Panchayat Sahayak have prepared forgery documents/Bills and misappropriation the govt. fund amounting to Rs. 50,000/- without constructed the road from Dawan to Khanewar under Block Development Office Theog.  

8. During last 24 hours 166 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 124 & fine realized Rs. 47,800/- and 38 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 3,900/-.

   FOLLOW-UP:

1. Accused Rattan Bahadur S/o Sh. Nar Bahadur R/o Village & PO Magma, Tehsil & Distt. Rukkam, Nepal A/P residing in Dhara at Jakhoo Shimla, arrested in Case FIR No. 74/17 Dt. 13.05.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Shimla Sadar, is on remanded in Judicial remand by the Ld. Court.

2. Accused Vikram Thakur S/o Sh. Gian Chand R/o Village & PO Basal, Tehsil & Distt. Solan, Age 29 years, arrested in case FIR No. 74/17 Dt. 17.05.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS West, is remanded on police custody upto 19.05.2017, by the Ld. Court.
