Crime Report on August 27, 2016

1. A Wrongful Restraint & Criminal Intimidation case FIR No. 50/16 has been registered at PS Chopal Dt. 27.08.2016 U/S 341,323,506,34 IPC on the Complaint of Sh. Kuldeep Dogra S/O Late Sh. Kana Singh R/O Village & PO Marog, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla stated therein that on 26.08.2016, when he was going to his home, on the way three Persons namely Raj Pal, Madan Chauhan & Rajesh Diwan obstructed his way, beaten him brutally and threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by HC Dalip Singh I/O PS Chopal.

2. A Grievous Injury case FIR No. 109/16 has been registered at PS Kumarsain today on 27.08.2016 U/S 325 IPC on the complaint of Ms. Manju D/o Smt. Janaki Devi R/o Village Sarahan, PO Badagaon, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla stated therein that on 25.06.2016, one person namely Vijender S/o Sh. Basant Lal R/o Village Sarahan, PO Badagaon, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla has beaten her brutally, caused sustained injuries to her on left arm. On this, she was medically examined at CH Kumarsain and today Medical officer has declared grievous injury in his final opinion. The case is being investigated L/HC Sita, I/O PS Kumarsain.   

3. A Burglary case FIR No. 221/16 has been registered at PS Sadar, Shimla today on 27.08.2016 U/S 457, 380 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Ravinder Singh S/O L.S. Jaswant Singh R/o Shop No. 9 Lower Bazar Shimla alleging there in that on the intervening night of 26/27.08.2016, some unknown person has broken the shutter of his shop and stolen away 50 Mobile Phones & cash  Rs. 61000/-. The case is being investigated by SI Jai Nand I/O PS Sadar Shimla

4. During last 24 hours 460 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 249 & fine realized Rs. 68,900/- & 65 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 6,600/-.  

   Inquest Report

         Deceased Ramesh Kharka S/o Sh. Pushpa Kharka (Nepali) who was mentally sick, has committed suicide by hanging himself by a rope in under construction building of Pinki Sharma near Old Bridge at Dutt Nagar, Rampur.

         Deceased Durga Nand S/o Lt. Sh. Meu Ram R/o Village & PO Dhanoali, Age 55 years, fell down from forest path, while he was on the way to his inlaws home at Sholi. During enquiry, it is found that deceased was suffering from mental infirmity.  

   Follow Up:-

1. Accused Kishan @ Govind S/o Sh. Dhan Bahadur R/o VPO & Tehsil Ramathap, Distt Tritishuli, Nepal, age 40 years have been arrested in case FIR No. 178/16 Dt. 24.08.16 U/S 354 IPC & 8 POCSO Act at  PS Dhalli. He is remanded in Judicial custody by the Ld. Court.  

2. Accused Maheshwar Prakash S/o Sh. Kundan R/o Village Sandoha, PO Sunni, PS Sunni, District Shimla arrested today in case FIR No. 28/16 U/S 409 IPC at PS East, is on police remand upto 30.08.2016.

3. Proclaimed Offender  Sakir Mohd. S/o Sh. Liyakat Ali R/o Village & PO Takrata, Tehsil Amb, Distt. Una, age 39 years, arrested in case FIR No. 98/08 U/S 279 337 338 IPC at PS Dhalli, sent to judicial remand by the Ld. Court.
