Crime Report on August 24, 2016

1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 141/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 23.08.2016 U/S 39(i) of HP Excise Act on the rukka of Insp. Gauri Dutt Sharma, SHO PS Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 23.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling & to collect the intelligence towards Chhaila. At about 06-00PM, on the secret information he searched the shop of Kewal Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Moti Ram R/o Village & PO Ghoond, and recovered 19 bottles of Country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated Insp. Gauri Dutt, Sharma, SHO PS Theog.

2. An Excise Act case FIR No. 166/16 has been registered at PS Rampur today on 24.08.2016 U/S 39(i) Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Ishwar Singh, I/C PP Taklech stated therein that on 23.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling in the jurisdiction of PP Taklech. At about 06-00 PM, on the secret information he searched the shop of Mehar Chand S/o Sh. Shiv Ram R/o Village Barkal, PO Barkal, PO Munish Bahali, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla & recovered 20 bottles of country liquor marka Una No. 1 from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Ishwar Singh,  I/C PP Taklech.

3. An Excise Act case FIR No. 56/16 has been registered at PS Sunni today on 24.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the  rukka of SI Tavender Singh, SHO PS Sunni, Shimla stated therein that today on 24.08.2016at about 02-25 PM, during patrolling with staff at Basantpur, one person namely Tota Ram S/o Sh. Mast Ram R/o Village Basantpur, Tehsil Sunni, Shimla intercepted by them and recovered 17 bottles of Country liquor Marka Una No. 1 from his possession. The case is being investigated by SI Tavender Singh, SHO PS Sunni.  

4. A Grievous Injury case FIR No. 165/16 has been registered at PS Rampur on 23.08.2016 U/S 323,325 IPC on the application Sh Krishan Dev S/O Kundan Lal R/O Vill Sholi Sub Tehsil Nankhari Distt Shimla  alleged therein that on date 21.08.2016, he was at Old Bus Stand Rampur. At about 9.30 PM one person namely Akhil Kumar S/o Sh. Satish Kumar R/o Vill Brow beaten him brutally, caused  sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by ASI Karam Chand I/C PP City Rampur.

5. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 103/16 has been registered at PS New Shimla U/S 341 323 504 34 IPC on the statement of Sh. Amit Jeetpal S/o Sh. Harmeet Singh R/o Ahuja Niwas, Prospects Hill, Chakkar, Shimla, age 30 year stated therein that on 23.08.2016, he alongwith Arvind Wanga & Devender Singh was going to BCS Shimla from ISBT in his vehicle No. HP-52-0196. At about 07-30 PM, one Alto Car No. HP-35-3746 overtakes and stopped in front of his vehicle. Three persons came out from this vehicle, abused and beaten him brutally.

6. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 167/16 has been registered at PS Rampur today on 24.08.2016 U/S 341 323 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Man Bahadur Nepali S/o Sh. Ram Bahadur A/P Village Chewadi, PO Dhanawali, Nankhari, Shimla stated therein that on 23.08.2016 at about 08-15 PM, when he was going to his dhara, on the way one person namely Ravinder Chauhan S/o Sh. Jagdish R/o village Khadahan, Nankhari, Shimla, obstructed his way and beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by ASI Chaman Lal, I/O PP Nankhari.

7. A Theft case FIR No. 142/16 has been registered PS Theog on 23.08.2016 U/S 341 323 382 IPC on the complaint of Smt. Santoshi Chandel W/o Sh. Rameshwar Singh R/o Village Bhani, PO Cheog, Tehsil Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 23.08.2016, she was going to home on foot. At about 06-00 PM, when she reached near Bagari,  one Smt. Anita R/o Village Sinkhuri obstructed her way and snatched Mangalsutra from her neck. The case is being investigated by ASI Ram Singh, I/C PP Fagu.

8. During last 24 hours 578 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 301 & fine realized Rs. 1,05,000/- & 91 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs.  10,000/-.  

   Follow Up:-

1. Accused i) Piyush Titla S/o Sh. Balkrishan Titla R/o Village Alawang, PO Devri-Khaneti, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, age 25 years and ii) Pawan Mehta S/o Sh. Megh Ram Mehta R/o Village Thanari, PO Devri-Khaneti, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, age 29 years, arrested in case FIR No. 68/16 Dt. 18.08.16 U/S 366A, 376, 506, 34 IPC & 4 POSCO Act at  PS Kotkhai, today sent in judicial custody for 14 days by the Ld. Court.

2. Proclaimed Offender Manpreet Singh S/o Sh. Mohan Singh R/o 128 Krishna Nagar, Shimla arrested in case FIR No. 55/10 U/S 160 IPC at PS Sadar. He is remanded in judicial custody upto 06.09.2016 by the Ld. Court.
