Crime Report on August 26, 2016

  1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 91/16 has been registered at PS East on 25.08.2016 U/S 39(i) HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Dharam Sain, SHO PS East, Shimla stated therein that on 25.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling towards Vikas Nagar, Kasumpti, Panthghati & Beolia etc.. At about 02-20 PM, when they reached at Lower Panthaghati, one the secret information, he searched the Shop of Bihari Lal  S/o Bela Ram R/o Village Langehar, PO Bharoti, Tehsil Sarkaghat, Mandi A/P running a Daily Needs Shop at Lower Panthaghati, Shimla and recovered 26 bottles of country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by SI Dharam Sain, SHO PS East.

  2. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 107/16 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 25.08.2016 U/S 341 323 34 IPC on the statement of Sh. Om Prakash S/o Sh. Gaurinand R/o Village Banalghati, PO Marijuana, Tehsil Theog, Distt. Shimla alleging therein that two persons namely Kalu & Gopi have obstructed  his way at Krantivir near Narkanda & beaten him brutally, caused sustained injuries to him.

  3. An Accident case FIR No. 207/16 has been registered at PS Sadar on 25.08.2016 U/S 279 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Sanjeev Maria A/P Superintendent Engineer (IT), HP SECBL Vidyut Bhawan Shimla stated therein that he was going to Vikas Nagar from Nabha in his vehicle. When he reached near Rama Coal Company at Cart Road Shimla, at the same time an ambulance No. HP-62-2862 came rashly and hit with his vehicle. The case is being investigated by ASI Mohinder Lal, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla.

  4. A Negligent act likely to spread infection of decease dangerous to life case FIR No. 212/16 has been registered at PS Sadar today on 26.08.2016 U/S 269, 270, 271, 217, 218, 34 IPC & Section 42, 43 The Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution ) Act 1974 on the report of Sh. Bhopinder Bragta Dy. SP (CID Crime) Shimla alleging there in that Shri Vinod Gupta @ Bablu reported on dated 14-06-2014 at 9-20 PM at PS Sadar Shimla that his son Yug, aged four year is missing from Dwarkagarh building Ram Bazaar Shimla. In this regard, a case FIR No. 77/2014 dated 16-06-2014 U/S 364 IPC was registered in PS Sadar Shimla and which was transferred to state CID Crime Branch. During Investigation accused Chandra Sharma(26) , Tejinder Pal (29) & Vikrant Bakshi(22) all residents of Shimla revealed that they have disposed off the body of kidnapped child in water storage tank of municipal corporation situated in Keleston in Bharari on 21-6-2014. On the basis of disclosure of accused, search of Municipal Corporation Drinking water storage tank situated at Keleston Bharari was conducted in the presence of witness &  by the SFSL and CID Special Investigation Team and I & PH staff. During the inspection of the water tank and its surrounding,  pieces of skull were found outside the tank on ground under the ladder which connect  the water tank from the road side and concrete slab tied with plastic rope and straps with red/brown colored stains recovered inside the water tank along with few pieces of Bones. Officials of municipal corporation Shimla revealed to CID team that above water tank was cleaned many time after 21-6-2014. As per the report, submitted by Municipal Corporation Shimla, tank was cleaned four times in year 2015 to 2016. Therefore it is a case of negligence on part of Municipal officials.

  5. A Cheating case FIR No. 180/16 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 25.08.2016 U/S 420 407 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Roshan Lal S/o Sh. Banarsi Dass R/o Village Rampur Kalan, Tehsil Anandpur Sahib, Distt. Ropar, Punjab stated therein that he is working as Manager, South Roadways Corp. Branch Dhalli, Shimla. On 17.08.2016 at about 10-00 PM, he loaded 573 Boxes of Apple worth Rs. 15 lacs, in Truck No. HR-46D-6221 from Dhalli Subzi Mandi to Sholapur. But above truck was not reached at destination upto 22.08.2016. The mobile Nos. 90343-07678, 90348-07678 & address provided by the driver of above truck was also found forged. The case is being investigated by ASI Subhash Shastri, I/O PS Dhalli.

  6. A Criminal Breach of Trust case FIR No. 108/16 has been registered at PS Kumarsain today on 26.08.2016 U/S 407 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Randheer Singh Chauhan R/o Village Shekhal, Tehsil Rohru, Distt. Shimla stated therein that on 23.08.2016, he loaded 85 apple boxes in Truck No. HP-23B-4579 from Narkanda to Parwanoo. But due to breakdown of above truck at Shillaroo, apple boxes has been loaded in Truck No. HR-67A-8059 driven by Ramesh Kumar R/o Panipat, Haryana. But the above truck was not reached at Parwanoo till now.  The case is being investigated by HC Dev Raj, I/O PP Narkanda.  

  7. During last 24 hours 898 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 503 & fine realized Rs. 1,57,400/- & 111 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 11,700/-.  

    Follow Up:-

  1. Accused Kishan @ Govind S/o Sh. Dhan Bahadur R/o VPO & Tehsil Ramathap, Distt Tritishuli, Nepal, age 40 years have been arrested in case FIR No. 178/16 Dt. 24.08.16 U/S 354 IPC & 8 POSCO Act at  PS Dhalli, today who is on police remand up to 27.08.2016.

  2. Proclaimed Offender Kailash Chand  S/o Lt. Sh. Veer Singh R/o Village Koti, PO Dhargaura, Tehsil Rampur Distt. Shimla has been arrested in case FIR No. 116/02 U/S 451 323 506  34 IPC at PS Jhakri. He is remanded in judicial custody by the Ld. Court.  

    Cloudburst Incident

    On 25.08.2016 at about 07.00 PM, incident of cloudburst occurred at Gunda Gawalti near Village Kadaili Gram Panchayat Narain in the jurisdiction of PS Rampur. In this incident, four persons namely Laxman Dass S/o Sh. Dalipul C/O Surja Devi R/O Vill. Kadaili PO Narain Tehsil Rampur Distt. Shimla HP age-42 yrs, Dev Kumari W/o Sh. Laxman Dass as above age 32-yrs, Sunita D/O Laxman Dass age 7 yrs & Suraj S/O laxman Dass Age 6-yrs died on the spot and post-mortem of deceased persons conducted by Medical officer on the spot  and one person namely Karan Bahadur S/O Laxman Dass age 13-yrs sustained injures, who is under treatment in MGMSC Khaneri and one Parshotma D/O Laxman Dass is missing. Search operation is still continue by the rescue team.
