An Excise Act case FIR No. 52/16 has been registered at PS Chirgaon on 22.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Munish Raj Sharma, SHO PS Chirgaon stated therein on 22.08.2016 at about 06-00 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff near Todsa, he recovered 18 bottles of Country liquor from the possession of Janak Raj Sharma S/o Lt. Sh. Lakhi Ram R/o Village Todsa, Tehsil Chirgaon, Shimla. The case is being investigated by SI Munish Sharma, SHO PS Chirgaon.
An Act endangering life or personal safety of others case FIR No. 55/16 has been registered at PS Sunni on 22.08.2016 U/S 336 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Babu Ram S/o Sh. Balkiya Ram R/o Village Sharog, PO Thachi, Tehsil Sunni, Shimla stated therein that his brother namely Kesru Ram was working as labourer with Contractor Devi Chand, Electricity Department. On 22.08.2016, he was climbed on the electric poll to repair the line at Patukhar. At the same time, due to electric shock, he fell down from the poll and died on the spot, due to negligence act of Contractor Devi Chand & foreman Chaner Pal. The case is being investigated by ASI Suresh Kumar, I/O PS Sunni.
A Dog Biting case FIR No. 209/16 has been registered at PS West on 22.08.2016 U/S 451 289 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Susheel Verma S/o Sh. Devi Ram Verma R/o Village Ladli, PO Sairy, Tehsil Kandhaghat, Distt. Solan A/P running a Carton Factory near Village Bawin, Distt. Shimla stated therein that on 22.08.2016, one person namely Manmohan Singh came to his factory alongwith his pet dog and instigated symbolically his dog to catch his pet cat. When he opposed him, he again instigated his dog, due to which his dog bite him from left leg. The case is being investigated by HC Suresh Kumar, I/O PP Jutogh.
A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 175/16 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 22.08.2016 U/S 341 323 34 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Ajay Thakur S/o Lt. Sh. Om Prakash R/o Hari Om Bhavan, Kasumpati, Shimla stated therein that he is drive a Bus No. HP-63B-1545. On 22.08.2016 at about 09-30 PM, after filling the patrolling at Mehli Petrol Pump, when he alongwith his conductor was coming to his quarter and reached near Malyana, where driver of Pick-Up No. HP-63A-869 alongwith 2/3 another persons obstructed there way and beaten him brutally, caused sustained injuries to them. The case is being investigated by ASI Roshan Lal, I/O PS Dhalli.
A Wrongful Restraint & Criminal Intimidation case FIR No 164/16 has been registered at PS Rampur today on 23.08.2016 U/S 341,323,506,34 IPC on the application of Smt. Supla Devi W/o Sh. Shoha Ram R/O Village Chicksa Tehsil Rampur Distt Shimla HP alleging therein that on 22.08.2016 at about 05-00 PM, when she was going towards Chiksa, on the way Maina Ram, Naina Devi & Kamli Devi obstructed her way and beaten her brutally. They have also threatened her with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Ishwar Singh I/O PP Tecklech.
A Cruelty to Animal Act case FIR No 176/16 has been registered at PS Dhalli today on 23.08.2016 U/S 11 The prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act. 1960 on the rukka of ASI Baldev Singh I/C PP Junga, Shimla alleging therein that on 22.08.2016, during patrolling alongwith staff two Pick-Up came from Shimla side, intercepted by them for checking and found that Harish Kumar driver of Pick-Up No HP-64-0574 loaded Three Cows, Three Oxen, one calf and Kripa Ram driver of Pickup No HP-79-0361 loaded Two Oxen, 2 calves in congested way in their vehicles. During investigation drivers of above Pick-Up told that they were loaded animals from Damechi and Kawara which is being taken towards Sangrah Distt Sirmour. Four persons namely Harish, Daulat Ram, Kripa Ram and Nek Ram Arrested in this case. The case is being investigated by ASI Baldev Singh I/C PP Junga.
During last 24 hours 363 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 189 & fine realized Rs. 55,500/- & 75 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 8,000/-.
Inquest Report
Deceased Padam Bahadur S/o Sh. Gani Bahadur R/o Village & PO Gairgaon, Distt. Rolpa, Anchal Rapti, Nepal A/P C/o S. Vijay Kumar R/o Village & PO Sainj, Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla, age 35 years found dead due to in the store/Shop of Sh. Heera Lal. During enquiry it is found that deceased was habitual of alcohol & suffering from illness. Corpse is being shifted to CH Kumarsain for Postmortem.

Accused i) Piyush Titla S/o Sh. Balkrishan Titla R/o Village Alawang, PO Devri-Khaneti, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, age 25 years and ii) Pawan Mehta S/o Sh. Megh Ram Mehta R/o Village Thanari, PO Devri-Khaneti, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, age 29 years, arrested in case FIR No. 68/16 Dt. 18.08.16 U/S 366A, 376, 506, 34 IPC & 4 POSCO Act at PS Kotkhai, are in police remand up to 24.08.2016.
