Crime Report 02 September, 2014

1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 119/14 has registered at PS Sadar on 01.09.2014 U/S 39, HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Amar Nath, I/O PS Sadar Shimla alleging therein that on 01.09.2014, he alongwith staff was on patrolling duty. At about 03:20 PM, when they reached near physiotherapy Clinic at Anaj Mandi Shimla, one person namely Lok Bahadur Shahi S/o Sh. Jeet Bahadur Shahi R/o Village- Basi, Ward No. 8, Tehsil & District- Dolakh, Nepal intercepted by them. During search, he recovered 06 bottles of country liquor marka Una No.-1, from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Amar Nath, I/O PS Sadar Shimla

2. An Excise Act case FIR No. 40/14 has registered at PS Nerwa on 01.09.2014 U/S 39, HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Kamlender Singh, I/O PS Nerwa alleging there in that on 01.09.2014, he alongwith staff was on Naka duty at Jhamrari Barrier. At about 07:30 PM, one vehicle No. HP-07B-0325 (Bolero Campur) alongwith driver namely Chaman Sharma S/o  Sh. Babu Ram R/o Village & PO- Katiyana, Tehsil- Poanta Sahib, Sirmaur, age-33 year  coming from Fadizpur side, intercepted by them. During search he recovered 05 boxes of Beer, 2 boxes of country liquor & 07 boxes of English liquor from the above vehicle. The case is being investigated by ASI Kamlender Singh, I/O PS Nerwa.

3. An Excise Act case FIR No. 75/14 is registered at PS Rohru on 01.09.2014 U/S 39 H.P Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Bal Raj I/C PP Tikkar alleging therein that today he alongwith staff on patrolling duty towards Shalontha. On the secret information, one person namely Nand Lal S/o Sh. Nihalu Ram, R/o Village & PO- Sharontha, Tehsil- Rohru, District- Shimla intercepted by them. During search he recovered 12 bottles illicit liquor marka Lal Kila from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Bal Raj I/C PP Tikkar.

4. An Accident case FIR No. 49/14 has registered at PS Chopal on 01.09.2014 U/S 279, 337,304A IPC on the rukka of ASI Om Prakash, I/C PP Kupvi alleging therein that on 01.09.2014 at about 05:00 AM,  a vehicle No. DL-09-CD-3190, coming from Minas to Rohana, was met with an accident near Rohana due to rash & negligent driving of Papinder Rupta S/o Sh. Dhyan Singh R/o Village- Kharachli, PO- Rushla, Tehsil- Chopal, Shimla. Three persons have died on the spot and two persons sustained injuries.   The Case is being investigated by ASI Om Prakash, I/C PP Kupvi.

5. An Accident case FIR No. 45/14 has registered at PS Kotkhai on  01.09.2014 U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC PS Kotkhai on the statement of Sh. Dharam Pal S/o Sh. Padam Singh R/o Village- Majhali, PO- Devthi, Tehsil & PS Rampur Distt Shimla alleging there in that on 31.8.2014 at 10.00 PM, after loaded an apple in Bollero Camper No HP-06A-5375, he alongwith Rahul @ Kandu and driver  Manoj Sharma S/o Sh. Durga Dev R/o Village Majhli, PO- Devthi were going from Majhali to Jarol. At about 07.45 AM when they reached at Podidhar, driver Manoj Kumar could not control the vehicle and above Bolero Campur met with an accident and rolled down from the road. He and driver Manoj Kumar sustained injuries and Rahul died on spot. The case is being investigated by ASI Kamal Dev I/O PS Kotkhai.

6. A House Trespass case FIR No. 128/14 has registered at PS Dhalli on 02.09.2014 U/S 452,323,34 IPC on the application of Sh. Sagar Nagpal S/O Girdhar Nagpal R/O H.NO. 16 Pocket 19 Sec. 24 Rohani Delhi A/p student of IHM Kufri presently residing in PG of Ravinder Sharma near old PP building Sanjauli alleging therein that today at about 05:00  AM, he alognwith his friends Sachin, Rohit, Pankaj & Sumit was in his room.  At the same time Abhimanyu, Nikhil, Rishav & Sourabh entered in his room and beaten them. The case is being investigated by HC Lekh Ram,  I/O PP Sanjauli, Shimla.

7. A Rioting Case FIR No. 50/14 is registered at PS Chopal on 02.09.2014 U/S 147,148,149,341,323 IPC on the application of Smt. Vidya Devi W/o Sh. Shyam Lal R/o village Khaddar, PO- Nakorapul, Tehisl Chopal, Distt. Shimla HP  alleging therein that  toady at about 06:00 PM when she was coming to home from dabrog,  six women namely Jamnu Devi, Sayna Devi, Seema Devi, Suman Bhandari, Purnu Devi & Fulma Devi have obstructed her way and beaten her.  The case is being investigated by ASI Partap Singh I/O PS Chopal.

8. During last 24 hours 204 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M.V. Act, 01 challan under Smoking Act and 01 challan under Mining Act. Total challan compound= 103 and fine realize= Rs. 30,300/-

   Follow up

1. Accused Sunny Shukla, Ajay Dhareta, Kaul Negi, Naresh Kumar, Dushyant Kumar, Vineet Justa (ABVP Activists) had filed anticipatory bail in Case FIR No. 145/14 Dt. 08.08.14 U/S 147 148 149 353 332  IPC PS West, which is rejected by the Ld. Court. Hence all the above accused has been arrested by the police.

2. Accused Gurkirat Singh S/o Sh. Balkaran Singh R/o Paniwala, PO- Avohar, Tehsil- Fazilika, Punjab, age-20 years, Gajan Singh S/o Sh. Gurdev Singh R/o Dhanash Chandigarh, Age-24 years and Amarvir Singh S/o Sh. Gurjeet Singh R/o Phase-7, Mohali, 3113, Chandigarh, age-34 year have been arrested case FIR No 118/14 Dt. 27.08.2014 U/S 307,323,34 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms act PS Sadar, today sent on judicial custody upto 15.09.2014.
