PRESS NOTE: 31 AUGUST, 2014
1. An Accident case FIR No. 130/14 is registered at PS Theog on 30.08.2014 U/S 279,337, 304A IPC, on the statement of Sh. Satish Verma S/O sh. Liaq Ram R/O Jarai, PO Devgarh, Tehsil Theog, Distt Shimla alleging therein that he has hired a Pickup NO. PB-11AY-9804 for carrying of apple. On 30.08.2014 at about 8.00PM Driver of above Pickup alongwith Nepali labourer was going to Jarai, driver lost his control from said Pickup and rolled down from the road about 50 feet. In which a person namely Ganga Ram S/O sh. Samri Lal has died on spot. The Case is being investigated by ASI Om Prakash I/O PS Theog, Shimla.
2. An Accident case FIR No. 107/14 is registered at PS Rampur on 30.08.2014 U/S 279,337, 304A IPC, on the Ruka of ASI Ramesh Chand alleging therein that a person namely Ajay Kumar driver of Bolero Pickup NO. HP 10A-6495 was going towards Solan from Karasa Rohru, on the intervening night of 29/30.08.2014 when he reached at Parmeshwari Dhank he met with an accident due to rash driving and rolled down app. 250 meter from the road. In which a person namely Sh. Jiya Lal S/O sh. Murat Singh @ Surat Singh died on spot. The Case is being investigated by ASI Ramesh Chand I/O PS Rampur, Shimla.
3. An Accident case FIR No. 103/14 is registered at PS Rampur on 30.08.2014 U/S 279, 304A IPC, on the statement of Sh. Narinder S/O sh. Harmahender Singh R/O Rampur, Tehsil & Distt Una, HP A/P APG University Mehali, Shimla-9 alleging therein that at about 8.30AM his worker informed him that a vehicle No. HP52B-1023 met with an accident Near APG Univesity at this he went to the spot and found that two persons namely Pankaj & Ishwar Singh who both are employee of APG University died in this accident. The Case is being investigated by SI/IC Sanjeev Kumar PP Kasumpti, Shimla.
4. During last 24 hours 228 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M.V. Act and 10 challan under Smoking Act. Total challan compound= 78 and fine realize= Rs. 35,600/-
