Crime Report 13 August, 2014

1. A ND&PS case FIR No. 146/14 has registered at PS West on 12.08.14 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act PS on the rukka of ASI Bhagat Ram, I/O PS West Shimla alleging therein that on 12.08.2014, he alongwith Police Party were on patrolling/traffic checking duty at NH-22 near Asia The Dawn Hotel. At about 06:15 PM one Ramesh Thakur S/o Lt. Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village-  Sawag, PO- Kasumpti, Shimla A/p Conductor, HRTC Rorhu Division, was found came from Shimla towards Asia The Dawn Hotel on his own car No. HP-62-2557. They intercepted him. During his search, they recovered restricted medicine 59 tablets of Nitrosun (N-10) from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Bhagat Ram, I/o PS West, Shimla.

2. An Accident case FIR No. 37/14 has registered at PS Nerwa on 12.08.2014 U/279,337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Hari Bahadur S/o Sh. Karam Bahadur Nepali A/p labourer C/o Surender Chauhan R/o Village- Delog, Tehsil- Chopal, Shimla alleging therein that he was travelling from Delhi to Nerwa in vehicle No. DL-1LR-2187 (Eicher) . Driver of above vehicle could not maintain control and the above vehicle met with an accident near Sagrodi.  He sustained injuries.   The case is being investigated by ASI Santokh Singh, I/O PS Theog.

3. An Accident case FIR No. 147/14 is registered at PS West today i.e. on 13.08.2014 U/S 279,337 IPC  on the rukka of ASI Lal Singh, Incharge PP Summer Hill Shimla alleging therein that on 12.08.2014, he seen the vehicle's light in Charitan forest. He immediately rushed to the spot and saw that employees of Fire were pulling out the two injured persons namely Geeta Ram S/o Sh. Dila Ram R/o Set No. 65, Ambedkar Bhawan, Cheritan Estate, Summer Hill, Shimla, age- 50 years and Naresh S/o Lt. Sh. Jankri Ram R/o Village- Chulha, PO- Tulah, District- Mandi, age-33 years, with the help of rope from vehicle No. HP-62B-0878 (Alto-800). The case is being investigated by ASI Lal Singh, I/C Police Post Summer Hill Shimla.

4. During last 24 hours 160 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M.V. Act and 11 challan under Smoking Act. Total challan compound= 85 and fine realize= Rs. 27,700/-

1. Accused Harsh Sharma S/o Lt. Sh. O.P. Sharma R/o Tenant Vijay Niwas, Divya Nagar, Totu, Shimla , Mayank Bansal S/o Sh. Pradeep Kumar R/o Thakur Niwas, Chora Chauki, Tehsil & District- Shimla and Kuldeep S/o Sh. Balwant Singh R/o Rama Niwas R/o Village- Rama Niwas, R/o Ridka Tutikandi, Shimla have been arrested in case FIR No. 140/14 Dt. 06.08.14 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act PS West. Accused Harsha Sharma on police remand upto 16.08.2014 and  Mayank Bansal and Kuldeep Singh, today  sent to Judicial custody.

2. Accused Ramesh Thakur S/o Lt. Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village-  Sawag, PO- Kasumpti, Shimla A/p Conductor, HRTC Rorhu Division has been arrested in case FIR No. 146/14  Dt. 12.08.14 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act PS West, on police remand upto 14.08.2014.
