Crime Report 25 August, 2014

  1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 161/14 is registered at PS West on 24.08.2014 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Amar Nath, I/C PP Dhami, Shimla alleging  therein that on 24.08.2014, he alongwith staff were on patrolling duty at Kalani Road. At about 09:00 PM, one Maruti Car No. HP-11-8393 came from Halog Dhami alongwith driver namely Bhupender Thakur S/o Sh. Mohan Singh Thakur R/o Village- Dhyanpur, PO- Ghanagughat, Tehsil- Arki, District- Solan, age-24 year, intercepted by them.  During search, 120 bottles of country liquor marka Surur &  60 bottles of Himachal orange, total-180 bottles recovered from his possession. The  case is being investigated by ASI Amar Nath, I/C PP Dhami, Shimla.

  2. A Concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body case FIR No 117/14 is registered at PS Sadar on 25.08.14 U/S 318 IPC on the statement of Sh Vipan @ Mangi S/O Lt Sh Rehma R/O H.No 10 New Line Krishna Nagar Shimla alleging there in that he is posted in M.C Shimla as sweeper . Today at about 7.30 PM he was coming from Ram Bazar to Lower Bazar, When he reached near Udam Ram ,Asha Ram shop Ram Bazar Shimla he saw a deadbody of infant lying on the road side. It is suspected that someone has aborted this new born baby and thrown him on the road. The Case is being investigated by ASI Mohinder Lal I/O P.S Sadar Simla

  3. A Theft case FIR No. 158/14 has registered at PS West on 24.08.2014 U/S 457, 380 IPC that during intervening night of 23/24.08.2014, some unknown person has stolen gold & silver ornaments i.e. two Konda Rath, one big chhatra, 2 necklaces, Munda, Guraj, Ashatdhatu idol of Ratar Devta, 2 ear-rings, one bronze platter etc. from Ratar Devta Temple. Approximate weight of stolen gold ornaments is 1Kg., Silver 4Kg & Bronze-750 gram. The case is being investigated by SI Harish Kumar, I/C PP Jutogh, Shimla.   

  4. An Accident case FIR No. 103/14 has registered at PS Rampur on 24.08.2014 U/S 279,337 IPC on the rukka of HC Bakshi Ram, I/O PP Nankhari, Shimla alleging therein that on 23.08.2014 at about 11:50 PM, A Truck No. HP-11-6943 was going towards Narkanda, met with an accident near Parmeshwari Dhank. Two persons Sanju Kumar & Naresh Kumar sustained injuries and one person Dheeraj Kumar S/o Sh. Prem Kumar R/o Village- Chanala, PO- Nav Gaon, Tehsil- Arki, District- Solan died on the spot, in this accident.  The case is being investigated by HC Bakshi Ram, I/O PP Nankhari.   

  5. A Mischief by destroying or moving, etc., a land- mark fixed by public authority case FIR No 104/14 is registered at PS Rampur on 25.08.2014 U/S 435 IPC on the statement of Sh. Kalish Chand S/O Sh. Moti Ram R/o Village- Maghara, PO- Dofda, Rampur, Distt Shimla alleging therein that on 24.08.2014 he parked his motorcycle No. HP-06A-3168  near SBI ATM at Khaneri. During intervening night, he received a call that his motorcycle and another motorcycle are burnt with fire. he doubts that some unknown person has set his motorcycle on fire. The case is being investigated by ASI Hari Singh I/C PP Nankhari.

  6. A Rioting case FIR No. 160/14 has registered at PS West on 24.08.2014 U/S 147, 148, 149, 504, 506, 323 IPC &  25-54-59 Arms Act on the application of Sh. Rajan Harta S/o Sh. Ram Ji Harta R/o Village- Bharara, PO- Adhal, Tehsil- Rohru, District- Shimla alleging therein that he is studying in MMC 3rd semester in HP university, Summer Hill Shimla. On 24.08.2014 at about 09:10 PM, while he alongwith his friends namely Rajan & Subhash having dinner in YSP Mess. At the same time students of ABVP organization namely Dewansh Chandel, Chanderkiran, Rimple, Khushal Kanwar, Naresh Dasta, Babu Ram, Amit etc. came in the mess with wooden sticks and beaten them. One of them Dewansh took out the pistol and threatened them for dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Lal Singh, I/O PP Summer Hill.  

  7. A Rioting case FIR No. 162/14 has registered at PS West on 24.08.2014 U/S 341, 147, 148, 149, 323, 506 IPC &  25-54-59 Arms Act on the application of Sh. Virender Kumar S/o Sh. Rajender Kumar R/o Village- Bhanal, Tehsil- Chopal, District- Shimla alleging therein that on 24.08.2014 at about 09:15 PM, after taking  dinner, while he was going to his room, students of SFI organization namely Hoshiyar Singh, Nand Lal @ Shorya, Vipin, Subhash, Bhim Singh, Rohit MTA, Suresh, Sanjeev, Ravinder @ Ravi, Punit Dhanta, Abhimanyu, Pankaj, Shashi etc. obstructed and beaten him. Two students namely Vikram Kaith & Suresh Jaswal pointed Revolver towards him and threatened for dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Mast Ram, I/O PS West.   

  8. A Rioting case FIR No. 159/14 has registered at PS West on 24.08.2014 U/S 323,147,148, 149 IPC on the application of Sh. Arun Thakur S/o Sh. Kapoor Thakur R/o Village- Khajuranu, PO- Kachhera, Tehsil- Jaisinghpur, District- Kangra, HP alleging therein that on 24.08.2014 at about 08-00 PM, he stood at Chakkar Chowk. At the same time five persons, three of them are Rajesh, Makku & Pinku have beaten him. The case is being investigated by HC Ravinder Kumar, I/O PS West.   

  9. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No.125/14 is registered at PS Dhalli on 25.08.2014 U/S 341,323 IPC on the application of Sh. Inder Kumar S/o Sh. Manta Ram R/o Village- Kattel, Tehsil- Nalaghar, Distt Solan alleging therein that on 25-08-2014 at about 7.40 am he was going to Fruit Mandi. When he reached near Subji Mandi Dhalli, suddenly  a vehicle No HP-01A-2241 obstructed his way and one person came out from the vehicle, beaten him and run away from the spot. The Case is being investigated by  HC Goverdhan Singh, I/O PS Dhalli.

  10. An Accident case FIR No. 124/14 is registered at PS Theog on 25-08-14 U/S 279,337,201 IPC & 187 MV ACT on the statement of Sh. Dushyant Chauhan S/o Sh. Ramesh Chand Chauhan R/o Village- Shantha, PO- Dewat, Tehsil- Choapl, Distt. Shimla HP alleging therein that while he was coming on foot  towards Fagu from Apple Control Room, at the same time one vehicle No. HP-13-2289 (Mahindra) came rashly and hit him and ran away from the spot. He sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Het Ram, I/O PS Theog.  

  11. During last 24 hours 311 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M.V. Act and 10 challan under Smoking Act. Total challan compound= 139 and fine realize= Rs. 42,200/-

    Follow-UP

  1. Accused Nanu Ram S/o Sh. Chhailu Ram R/o H.No. 86, Ward No. 20, Tehsil- Narwana, District- Jind, Haryana has been arrested in case FIR No. 123/14  Dt. 23.08.14 U/S 420,467,468,471 IPC PS Theog, is on police remand upto 26.03.2014.

  2. Accused Rishi Yadav S/o Lt. Sh. Ravinder Singh Yadav R/o 188, AWHO, Puram Ambawadi, Jaipur, Rajasthan has been arrested in case FIR No. 118/14 Dt. 13.08.14 U/S 307,427 IPC PS Dhalli, is  on police remand upto 27.08.2014.

  3. Accused Sunil @ Reem Bahadur S/O Sh. Dil Bhadur R/O Malarani PO Kharigaeira PS Cinchu Tehsil Kheridora Distt. Surkhat Nepal c/o Kanwar Singh Building Rohru Distt. Shimla  has been arrested in case FIR No. 50/14 Dt. 18.07.14 U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC & 185 MV Act at PS Rohru.
