Crime Report 29 August, 2014

1. A ND&PS Act case FIR No. 128/14 has been registered at PS Theog on 28.08.14 U/S 15, 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Kamal Nayan, I/C PP Fagu alleging therein that on 28.08.2014, while he alongwith staff was on patrolling on NH-22 towards Tharmatti, he recovered 5 gram charas & 400gram poppy straw from the possession of Hari Ram S/O Sh. Deeep Ram R/O Village- Nahog, PO- Sarog, Tehsil & PS-Theog at Tharmatti. Above accused has been arrested by the police and case is being investigated by ASI Kamal Nayan, I/C PP Fagu. 

2. A Damage to Public Property case FIR No. 106/14 is registered at PS  on 28.08.2014 U/S 3 PDP Act & 511 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Puneet Sharma, Manager, State Bank of India, Rampur, Shimla alleging therein that on 28.08.2014 at about 03:30 AM, some unknown person has damage the ATM Machine with the intention to theft. The case is being investigated by ASI Ramesh Chand, I/O PS Rampur.

3. A Cheating case FIR No. 165/14 is registered at PS West on 28.08.2014 U/S 420 IPC on the statement of Kumari Hema Grover D/o Sh. Govind Ram R/o Grover Niwas, Ombadas Villa, Fingask Kaithu Shimla alleging therein that on 22.08.2014 at 9:54 PM, she received a call that she has won Rs. 25 lacs in lottery and told her that deposit Rs. 18,250/- in the account of Mr Amar Singh given by above phone caller. She deposited the above amount on 23.08.2014. After that she received another call and told her to deposit Rs. 65,000/- , but she deposited only Rs.23000/-. Thereafter, a person namely Mr. Sunil Kumar, who has a Sweets Shop at Lower Bazar Shimla met her at Vidhansabha who told her that he himself also cheated by the phone caller like her by saying that his daughter has been selected in Tata Motors but he has to deposit Rs. 9200/- and he deposited Rs. 9200/-. The case is being investigated by ASI Om Prakash, I/O PS Theog. 

4. An assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty case FIR No. 46/14 is registered at PS Chirgaon on 29.08.2014 U/S 353,332 IPC on the application of Smt. Sarojni A/p Art & Craft Teacher, Anath Ashram, Masli, Chirgaon age- 58 year alleging therein that today she was on duty at Ashram. At about 09:30 AM, Smt. Sushma W/o Sh. Mahender Singh R/o Village- Diswani, Tikkar, Tehsil- Chirgaon, Shimla beaten her during duty. The case is being investigated by HHC Brij Lal I/O PS Chirgaon.

5. A Burglary case FIR No 102/14 is registered at PS East on 29.08.2014 U/S 454, 380 IPC that today some unknown person has broken the door lock of his house and stolen gold ornament & cash Rs. 14500/-. The case is being investigated by HC Tenzin Chhering Negi, I/C PAR Vikas Nager.       

6. During last 24 hours 208 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M.V. Act and 04 challan under Smoking Act. Total challan compound= 89 and fine realize= Rs. 21,800/-

1. Accused Hari Ram S/o Sh. Deeep Ram R/o Village- Nahog, PO- Sarog, Tehsil & PS-Theog has been arrested in case FIR No. 128/14 Dt. 28.08.14 U/S 15,20-61-85 ND&PS Act PS Theog is on police remand up to 30.08.2014.

2. Accused Liaq Ram S/O  Sh. Chet Ram R/O VIll. Banewal, PO Jais, Tehsil Theog, Shimla, arrested in Case FIR NO. 126/14 dtd 26.8.2014 U/S 20 ND & PS Act today sent to judicial custody of 14 days.
