Crime Report on Jan. 29, 2017

1. A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 10/17 has been registered at PS Sadar today on 29.01.2017 U/S 20,21-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of SI Radhe Shyam, I/O PS Sadar Shimla stated therein that today on 29.01.2017, he alongwith staff was on patrolling in the jurisdiction of PS Sadar. At about 03-45 AM, one person namely Krishan @ Shiva S/o Sh. Govind R/o Madrasi Colony, Ram Nagar, Karnal, Haryana, age 26 year, intercepted by them on Shimla Bypass road near Lalpani and recovered 2.072 Kg. Ganja & 40 gram Smack/Brown Sugar from his possession. The case is being investigated by SI Radhe Shyam, I/O PS Sadar.

2. AN EXCISE ACT:  case FIR NO. 17/17 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 28.01.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Kamal Dev  I/O PS Kotkhai alleging therein that on 28.01.2017 at about 5:10 PM, during patrolling along with staff towards Kiari, he recovered 6  Bottles of Country liquor marka Ranger Orange  from the shop of Kharak Singh S/o Dal Bahadur R/o Village & PO Kiari  Teshil Kotkhai Distt. Shimla.  The case is being investigated by ASI Kamal Dev  I/O PS Kotkhai.

3. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 18/17 has been registered at PS Kotkhai today on 29.01.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Deep Chand, I/O PS Kotkhai, Shimla stated therein that today on 29.01.2017, he alongwith staff was on patrolling towards Kiari in Kotkhai. At about 11-55 AM, on the secret information he alongwith staff raided in the shop of Arun Sharma S/o Sh. Girdhari Lal R/o Village & PO Kiari, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla and recovered 24 Bottles of Country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Deep Chand, I/O PS Kotkhai.

4. MISCHIEF BY FIRE WITH THE INTENT TO DESTROY PROPERTY:  Case FIR No. 10/17 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 28.01.2017 U/S 435 IPC on the statement of Sh. Devi Chand S/o Sh. Mansa Ram R/o Village & PO Chanawag, Tehsil Sunni, Distt. Shimla A/P working as Cook in HP TDC at Kufri, Shimla stated therein that on 28.01.2017 at about 07-15 AM, he saw the smoke from the Char Minar Handloom showroom. He went near to the shop and saw that above showroom of Sh. Anurag Singh & another shop of Kartik was completely burnt due to fire. He doubts that some unknown person has set a fire by throwing a burning match stick inside the shop. The case is being investigated by ASI Roshan Lal, I/O PS Dhalli. 

5. A WRONGFUL RESTRAIN: Case FIR No. 05/17 has been registered at PS Jubbal on 28.01.2017 U/S 341 323 504 IPC on the statement of Bahadur Thapa @ Choti Lal S/o Sh. Lvoan Thapa Nepali Presently residing C/o Anil Ghegta R/o Old Jubbal, Shimla stated therein that on 28.01.2017 at about 07-00 PM, when he was going to his Dhara, one person namely Sanjay Ghegta @ Sanju R/o Old Jubbal, Shimla obstructed his way, abused him and beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by ASI Raj Kumar, I/O PS Jubbal.

6. During last 24 hours 272 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 133 & fine realized Rs. 49,300/- and 77 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 7,700/-.

   FOLLOW-UP:

1. Accused i) Kapil Sawant S/o Om Prakash R/o Village Jaltar, PO Chalnair, Teshil Kotkhai, Shimla, age 30 years & ii) Kushal Chauhan S/o Sh. Jia Lal R/o Village Kalamu, PO Chalnair, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla age 30 years, arrested in case FIR No. 16/17 Dt. 28.01.2017 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kotkhai, are remanded in police custody upto 31.01.2017 by the Ld. Court.

2. Accused Krishan @ Shiva S/o Sh. Govind R/o Madrasi Colony, Ram Nagar, Karnal, Haryana, age 26 years, arrested in case FIR No. 10/17 Dt. 29.01.2017 U/S 20,21-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Sadar. He will be produced before Ld. Court tomorrow.
