Crime Report on Jan. 18, 2017

1. A ND&PS Act: Case FIR No. 08/17 has been registered at PS Theog on 17.01.2017 U/S 18,20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the HC Ramesh, I/O PP Fagu, Theog alleging therein that on 17.01.2017, he alongwith staff was on patrolling/collection of intelligence towards Bhekhalti, Fagu & Thamredi. At about 03-00 PM, on the secret information, he recovered 20.03 gram Opium & 5.53 gram Charas from the Tea shop of Sohan Lal S/o Lt. Sh. Padam Singh R/o village Chhachheel, PO Majhar (Bhekhalti), Tehsil Theog, Shimla. The case is being investigated by HC Ramesh, I/O PP Fagu.

2. A ND&PS Act: Case FIR No. 09/17  has been registered at PS Kuamrsain today on 18.01.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act has been registered on the rukka of SHO PS Kumarsain, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 17/18.01.2017 at about 12.25 AM, during patrolling alongwith staff when they were coming back towards Kumarsain from Kingal, one person namely Jia Ram S/o Sh. Surat Ram R/o Village & PO Jao, Tehsil Anni, Distt. Kullu, age 36 years, who was on the way towards Bharada, intercepted by them and recovered 1.920 Kg. Charas from his possession. The case is being investigated by SHO PS Kumarsain. 

3. A ND&PS Act: Case FIR No. 10/17 has been registered at PS Kumarsain today on 18.01.2017 U/S 17-61-85 ND&PS Act on the ASI Hem Chand, I/C  PP Sainj, Kumarsain alleging therein that on the intervening night of 17/18.01.2017 at abouyt 12-30 AM, during patrolling alongwith staff when they were going towards Luhari from Sainj, one person namely Roop Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Uttam Ram R/o Village & PO Jaon, Tehsil & PS Anni, Distt. Kullu, age 32 years, intercepted by them at Kanni Nala and recovered 278 gram Opium from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Hem Chand, I/C PP Sainj.

4. A Gambling Act: case FIR No. 09/17 has been registered at PS Kotkhai today on 18.01.2017 u/S 13-3-67 The Public Gambling Act on the rukka of SI/SHO PS Kotkhai, Shimla stated therein that today on 18.01.2017, during patrolling alongwith staff, four persons namely Prakash Chand, Balwant Chauhan, Sita Ram Chauhan & Ram Lal Chauhan have been apprehended by them, while playing gambling in public place near Panchayat Office at Pem Nagar and recovered Rs. 27,500/- from the spot. The case is being investigated by SI/SHO PS Kotkhai.

5. An Accident: Case FIR No. 17/17 has been registered at PS Rampur on 17.01.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the rukka of HC Chhotu Ram, I/O PP Nankhari alleging therein that on 17.01.2017 at about 09-30 AM, one vehicle No. HP-06C-5155 (Dumper) met with an accident near village Danota (Delath) due to rash & negligent driving of Rohit Kumar S/o Sh. Dola Ram, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by HC Chhotu Ram, I/O PP Nankhari.

6. Attempt to commit culpable homicide: Case FIR No. 09/17 has been registered at PS Sadar on 17.01.2017 U/S 308, 34 IPC on the statement of Sh. Rakesh Thakur S/o Sh. Ishwar Dass Thakur R/o Village Gehari-Mohari, PO Shoghi, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla A/P Conductor in Private Bus No. HP-62-1484 stated therein that on 17.01.2017 at about 03-00 PM, when he was getting into his bus at Local Bus Stand, Shimla, suddenly a Tie Beam fell down upon him and another 03 ladies passengers from nearby building, which was being dismantled by contractor Tarunjeet & his workers without placing any fencing or signboards despite knowing that such dangerous act could cause death of any person on such a busy place. The case is being investigated by SI Radhe Shyam, I/O PS Sadar.

7. A Burglary: Case FIR No. 07/17 has been registered at PS West on 17.01.2017 U/S  454 380 IPC on the statement of Sh. Raj Kumar S/o Sh. Lekh Ram R/o Village Silaseri, PO Badehari, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla stated therein that on 17.01.2017, some unknown person has stolen away golden/silver jewellery & cash Rs. 8000/- from the almirah by breaking the ply of the main door of his house. The case is being investigated by SI Ashish Pathania, I/C PP Jutogh.

8. A Trespass: Case FIR No. 11/17 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 18.01.2017 U/S 451,323,341 IPC on the complaint of Smt. Sneh Lata W/o Sh. Praveen Kumar R/o Village Jole, PO Kapehda, Tehisl & PS Ghumarwin, Distt. Bilaspur A/P serving as labour in GREF at Jeori, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 17/18.01.2017, one Mr. Vikrant Negi R/o Village Sangla, Distt. Kinnaur entered in his quarter and beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by HC Vinesh Kumar, I/O PP Jeori.  

9. During last 24 hours 269 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 97 & fine realized Rs. 40,900/- and 39 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs-. 3,900/-.

   INQUEST REPORT:

1. On 16.01.2017, Deceased Satyajeet Singh S/o Sh. Gianender Singh R/o 8D, CPWD Colony Basant Vihar, Delhi, age 30 years alongwith his wife come to visit Shimla and stay at Hotel Silver Inn, Shimla. On 17.01.2017, They went to Kufri, where Satyajeet Singh feels chest pain. He was shifted to IGMC Shimla, where doctor declared him brought dead. After autopsy, dead body handed over to his relative for cremation.  

2. On 17.01.2017, Deceased Lakhpatra Gupta, age 75 years R/o 50 Old Rajindera Nagar Market, Delhi-60,  who stayed with his family in Hotel Sukh Sagar Regency has been died due to heart attack near Sankat Mochan Temple, Shimla.  

3. On 18.01.2017, Deceased Pratap Singh S/o Sh. Maan Singh R/o Village Teesa, PO Churah, Distt. Chamba, age about 60 years, was found dead in the gallery of Puranmal Dharamshala, Shimla, which was his permanent abode. The body was shifted to IGMC Shimla for further legal proceedings.

4. On 18.01.2017, Deceased Mehar Singh S/o Sh. Thothu Ram R/o Village Aawan, PO Basantpur, Distt. Shimla, age 32 years, committed suicide by jumping into Satluj River near Kalighat at Sunni. After autopsy, dead body handed over to his relative for cremation.

   FOLLOW UP:

1. Three accused namely i) Vinod Kumar S/o Sh Yuv Raj, ii) Dharmender Singh S/o Sh Durga Dass and iii) Om Prakash S/o Sh Dharam Singh residents of Village & PO Kao, Tehsil Karsog Distt Mandi arrested in case FIR No 02/17 on 14.01.2017 U/S 20,29-61-85 ND&PS Act PS Sunni, are further remanded in Police custody up to 19.01.2017.

2. Accused Jia Ram S/o Sh. Surat Ram R/o Village & PO Jao, Tehsil Anni, Distt. Kullu, age 36 years, arrested in case FIR No. 09/17 Dt. 18.01.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kumarsain, is remanded in Police custody upto 20.01.2017 by the Ld. Court.  

3. Accused Roop Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Uttam Ram R/o Village & PO Jaon, Tehsil & PS Anni, Distt. Kullu, age 32 years, arrested in case FIR No. 10/17 Dt. 18.01.2017 U/S 17-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kumarsain, is remanded in Police custody upto 20.01.2017 by the Ld. Court.
