Crime Report on Jan. 17, 2017

1. An Excise Act: Case FIR No. 10/17 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 16.01.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Sher Singh, I/O PS Jhakri, Shimla alleging  therein that on 16.01.2017 at about 04-15 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff at Hawker Market at Jhakri, he recovered 05 Bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of Shyam Bollon S/o Sh. Veer Bahadur R/o Rehri Market Jhakri. The case is being investigated by ASI Sher Singh, I/O PS Jhakri.

2. An Accident: Case FIR No. 05/17 has been registered at PS New Shimla on 16.01.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement  of Smt. Sneh Lata W/o Sh. Janaki Dass R/o Munshi Ram Building, Lower Khalini, New Shimla alleging therein that on 06.01.2017 at about 08-30 AM, when her husband Sh. Janaki Dass was waiting for Bus at Khalini Bifurcation, at the same time a vehicle No. HP-09B-0442 (Maruti Car) driven by Ritesh Tajta S/o Sh. Prakash Chand came rashly from Tutikandi side and her husband, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by HC Anil Kumar, I/O PS New Shimla.   

3. During last 24 hours 167 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 65 & fine realized Rs. 28,900/-, 37 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs-. 3,800/- and 01 Challaned under Mining Act & Fine realized Rs. 4,500/-.

   OTHER INCIDENT:

1. Today on 17.01.2017, Old structures fell on passengers (03 ladies & 01 Male) while being demolished at local Bus Stand near New DDU Hospital, Shimla. One of the injured has been referred to IGMC and two another have fractured.  As per the Doctors report, the injured are stable now.

   FOLLOW UP:

1. Three accused namely i) Vinod Kumar S/o Sh Yuv Raj, ii) Dharmender Singh S/o Sh Durga Dass and iii) Om Prakash S/o Sh Dharam Singh residents of Village & PO Kao, Tehsil Karsog Distt Mandi arrested in case FIR No 02/17 on 14.01.2017 U/S 20,29-61-85 ND&PS Act PS Sunni, are further remanded in Police custody up to 19.01.2017.
