Crime Report on Jan. 12, 2017

1. An Excise Act : Case FIR No. 08/16 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 11.01.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Kulwant Singh, SHO PS Jhakri alleging therein that on 11.01.2017, during patrolling alongwith staff at Rattanpur, they recovered 12 Bottles of Country liquor marka Una No.-1, from the possession of Mast Ram S/o Sh. Devender Singh R/o Village Shanadhar, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla. The case is being investigated by SHO PS Jhakri.

2. A Wrongful Restraint: Case FIR No. 03/17 has been registered at PS West today on 12.01.2017 U/S 341, 323, 504, 427, 34 IPC on the application of Sh. Babu Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Padma R/o Village & PO Kuthaid, Tehsil & Distt. Solan, alleging therein that he is working as salesman in Wine Shop at Gannahatti. On 11.01.2017 at about 10-30 PM, three boys came to his shop and scuffle with each other. When he tried to stopped them, they beaten him brutally and broken the back glass of vehicle No. HP-21A-5977. The case is being investigated by ASI Suresh Kumar, I/C PP Dhami.

3. During last 24 hours 128 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 68 & fine realized Rs. 34,300/- and 22 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 2,200/-.

   FIRE INCIDENT

1. During the night of 11/12.01.2017 at about 01-30 AM, fire incident took place at Village Tharola, Tehsil Kotkhai Shimla. Due to fire, joint three storey house of two brothers namely Sh. Virender Chauhan, Sh. Narender  Chauhan and two storey house of their mother burnt totally. The estimated value of destroyed property is approx. Rs. one crore.   No human loss occurred in this fire incident.  

   INQUEST REPORT

1. An Unidentified male dead body,  which was found in Gagal Nala below village Bihar, Shimla on 11.01.2017, identified as Nishant Verma S/o Sh. Babu Ram R/o Village Subadu, PO Ghanni, Tehsil & PS Sunni, Distt. Shimla, age 23 years, who was missing from 10.01.2017. After autopsy, dead body handed over to his relative for cremation.   

2. Deceased Khushi Ram S/o Sh. Dhan Jiu R/o Village Bawathach, PO Khadrala, Tehsil Rohru, Shimla, age 43 years found dead at Khadrala in the jurisdiction of PS Rohru, who was out of his home for the last 3 days. Apparent cause of death is hypothermia, as body was lying in the open place. After postmortem, dead body handed over to his relatives for cremation.

3. Today on 12.01.2017, an unidentified partially decomposed male dead body, age about 18-20 years, wearing Blue Jean,  blue & black check T-shirt, Red Sweater & flotar sandal, found at the bank of Satluj River. Dead body has been kept in mortuary for identification at CH Sunni.

   FOLLOW UP:-

1. Accused Raj Kumar S/o Sh. Dhan Bahadur R/o Village Laha, PO & Tehsil Dhali, Distt. Jajarlot Bheri, Nepal, age 25 years, arrested in case FIR No. 09/17 Dt. 11.01.17 U/S 376 IPC & 4 of POCSO Act at PS Rampur, is remanded in Police custody upto 16.01.2017, by the Ld. Court.
