A ND&PS Act case FIR No 89/16 has been registered at PS East on 19.08.2016 U/S 18,20,21-61-85 ND&PS Act PS East on the rukka of HC Harish, I/O PS East stated therein that today on 19.08.2016 he alongwith staff was on patrolling in the jurisdiction of PS East. AT about 03-25 AM, when they reached near Exercise Point, one person namely Sunil Kumar @ Sonu S/o Lt. Sh. Ranveer Singh R/o Village Kuthera, PO Bhawarna, Tehsil Palampur, Distt. Kangra A/P Working in New Light & Sound, Subzi Mandi Shimla, age 24 years, intercepted by them and during checking 34 gram charas, 90 tablets of Nitrozefan & 932 gram opium poppy recovered from his possession. The case is being investigated by HC Harish, I/O PS East.
An Excise Act case FIR No 81/16 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 18.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Sher Singh I/O PS Jhakri alleging therein that on 08.08.2016 at about 07-15 PM, he alongwith staff was on patrolling at Kinnu-Mashnoo. On the secret information he searched the hotel/dhaba of Yashpal S/O Sh. Mani Ram R/O Village & PO Mashnoo Tehsil Rampur Distt. Shimla HP & recovered 05 bottles of country liquor marka Rangar Orange from his possession. The case is being investigating by ASI Sher Singh I/O PS jhakri.
An Excise Act Case FIR No. 82/16 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 18.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI/SHO PS Jhakri alleging therein that on 18.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling towards Mashnoo, Dobi etc. At about 09-00 PM, when he reached at Dofda, one person namely Ganga Singh S/O Lt. Sh. Kishan Dass R/O Village & PO Dofda Tehsil Rampur Distt. Shimla age 38 years, intercepted by them & during search 07 bottles of country liquor marka Una No. 1 recovered from his possession. The case is being investigating by SI/SHO PS Jhakri.
An Excise Act case FIR No. 69/16 has been registered at PS Kotkhai today on 19.08.2016 U/S 39(i) HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Shyam Tomar, SHO PS Kotkhai, Shimla stated that today on 19.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling towards Hulli near Gumma. At 02:30 AM, one Maruti Car No HP-03C- 2767 driven by Arun Sharma S/O Ghirdhaari Lal R/o Village Halli PO Kiari Tehsil Kotkhai Distt. Shimla, coming from Chailla, stopped by them for checking and recovered 72 bottles of country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by SHO PS kotkhai.
An Accident case FIR No. 208/16 has been registered at PS West on 18.08.20169 U/S 279 IPC on the application of Sh. Kushal Kumar Sharma S/o Sh. Purshotam Dass Sharma A/P Principal Govt. ITI (M), Shimla, age 55 years stated therein that on 18.08.2016, after duty he was going to home in his vehicle, on the way when he reached near Kandhari Niwas at Lower Kaithu, Shimla, one Pick-Up No. HP-62A-5140 came rashly and hit with his vehicle. The case is being investigated by SI Ashish Semual, I/O PS West.
An Accident case FIR No. 162/16 has been registered at PS Rampur on 18.08.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of Smt. Manwati W/o Sh. Lal Chand R/O Village & PO Shingla Tehsil Rampur Distt Shimla stated therein that when she was going towards Shingla to MGMSC Khaneri in her scooty No.HP06A-6316 and reached near Safed Dhank, at the same time a Car No CH03D-8191 came rashly from rampur side and hit with her Scooty & run away from the spot, caused sustained injuries to her. The case is being investigated by HC Sushil Kumar I/O TTR Rampur.
An Accident case FIR No. 77/16 has been registered at PS Rohru on 18.08.2016 U/S 279,337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Virender S/O Sh. Ganesh R/O Hariya PO Dhagolikalan PS Hariya Tehsil & Distt. Balrampur Uttar Pradesh age 20 years A/P C/O Sh. Mehar Singh Thakur R/O Village Jagothi Tehsil Rohru Distt. Shimla HP alleging therein that on 18.08.2016, he a/w his wife Shiwani, Sunil, Jiwan, Smt. Geeta, Maneesh, Pawan, Tek Bahadur, Naveen Bahadur, Chandan Singh, Smt. Kalavi Devi, Sarita Devi, Pamma Devi, Manju was going from Pujarli No. 4 to Koti in vehicle No. HP 51-0479 Bolero Camper. At about 05-30 PM, when they reached Near village Koti, above vehicle met with an accident & rolled down 10 meters from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Daleep S/O Sh. Prakash Chand R/O Koti Village Pujarli No. 4, Tehsil Rohru Distt. Shimla HP. In this accident, they all sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by ASI Ranjeet Singh I/O PP City Rohru.
Cheating by personation case FIR No. 88/16 has been registered at PS East on 18.08.2016 U/S 419, 506, 504 IPC on the statement of Sh. Neeraj Bharati R/o Set No. 5, Benmore, Shimla A/P Chief Parliamentry Secretary, Govt. of HP stated therein that on 08.07.2016, he received a call from Mobile No. 09650058503, who told him that he is speaking from Delhi Police Station and One Mr. Devasheesh Bhatacharya has lodged a compliant against him for post vulgar comments in c/w with Hon'ble Prime Minister of India and called him to come Delhi Police station to record the statement. He told him that he put his own thoughts in his personal page, if anybody didn't like it, he can ignore. On this, he misbehaved with him. He doubts that above person showed false identity as police officer & threatened him with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Hem Raj, I/O PS East.
A Wrongful Restraint & Criminal Intimidation case FIR No. 137/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 18.08.2016 U/S 341,323,506 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Inder Singh R/o Village Randhu, PO Dhamandri, Tehsil Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 18.08.2016 at about 01-00 PM, one person namely Hem Raj obstructed his way, beaten him with iron rod on his arm & threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by HC Ramesh Chand, I/O PP Fagu.
A Theft case FIR No. 138/16 has been registered at PS Theog today on 19.08.2016 U/S 379, 427, 34 IPC on the statement of Sh. Prakash Chand S/o Lt. Sh. Kanshi Ram R/o Village Nanni, PO Matiana, Tehsil & PS Theog, Shimla, age 48 years stated therein that on the intervening night of 18/19.08.2016 one person namely Ramesh Kumar S/o Sh. Rishi Ram R/o Village & PO Malagan, Tehsil Jhanduta, Distt. Bilaspur caught red handed while he was stolen apple from his apple orchard and 29 sacks & 45 boxes of apple recovered on the spot from his possession. The accused has been arrested by the police and case is being investigated by ASI Lachhi Ram, I/O PS Theog.
During last 24 hours 488 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 153 & fine realized Rs. 40,400/- and 64 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 5,950/-
Inquest Report:
Deceased Balbir Singh S/o Sh. Devi Singh R/o Village & PO Majharnu, Tehsil Joginder Nagar, Distt. Mandi, HP, age 48 years A/P Posted as Driver in HP Vidhan Sabha has been died due to fell down from the stairs near Willow Bank Hotel, Shimla. He was brought to IGMC Shimla, where Medical Officer declared him brought dead. After autopsy, deadbody handed over to his relatives for cremation.
Deceased Kamal Kishore R/o Bhiunth, Summer Hill Shimla has consumed some intoxicated substance on 18.08.2016. On this, he was brought to IGMC Shimla for treatment and today morning he has been died. After conducted postmortem, deadbody handed over to his relative for cremation.

Proclaimed Offender Suresh Kumar @ Dhannu S/o Sh. Lachhi Ram R/o Village & PO Hardev Pur, Tehsil Arki, Distt. Solan, HP age 49 years, arrested in case FIR No. 170/08 Dt. 26.11.2008 U/S 379 411 34 IPC at PS Rampur, is being produced before trial court.
Accused Ramesh Kumar S/o Sh. Rishi Ram R/o Village & PO Malangan, Tehsil Jhanduta, Distt. Bilaspur, HP age 35 years, arrested in case FIR No. 138/16 Dt. 19.08.16 U/S 379 427 34 IPC at PS Theog, is being produced before Ld. Court today.
Accused Mohd. Amjad S/o Sh. Hazi Shaukat Ali R/o 62 Fateh Road, Hakam Shah Colony, Sarahanpur, Distt. Bijnaur, UP arrested today in case FIR No. 186/16 Dt. 08.08.2016 U/S 379 34 IPC at PS Sadar, is being produced before Ld. Court today.
