An Excise Act case FIR No. 87/16 has been registered at PS East on 15.08.2016 U/S 39(i) HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Sewa Singh, I/C PP Kasumpti Shimla stated therein that on 15.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling towards Panthaghati, Shimla. On the secret information he searched the Daily Needs Shop of Shyam Singh S/o Sh. Sita Ram A/P Daily Needs Shop at Panthaghati & recovered 11 bottles of Country liquor marka Himachal Orange from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Sewa Singh, I/C PP Kasumpti Shimla.
An Accident case FIR No. 80/16 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 15.08.2016 U/S 279,337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Chander Shakher S/o Sh. Ram Singh R/O Vill. Gasso PO Jhakri Tehsil Rampur Distt. Shimla age 37 years alleging therein that on 15.08.2016, he was coming from Jeori to home. At about 03-15 PM, when he reached at Gassopull a truck No. HP-06A- 5535 driven by Dalip Kumar S/O Sh. Nirth Singh R/o Dagaon PO Sharvi Tehsil Nirmond Distt. Kullu age 27 years, came rashly in wrong direction & collide with Motorcycle No. HP-06-4424. In this accident, two persons namely Surinder Singh & Inder Singh sustained injuries. The case is being investigating by HC Suresh Kumar I/O PS Jhakri.
An Accident case FIR No. 206/16 has been registered at PS West on 16.08.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC on the rukka of Insp. Sanjeev Kumar, SHO PS West stated therein that today on 16.08.2016, a vehicle No. HP-31C-0901, was coming to Shimla from Gannahatti and met with an accident near Tawi More (curve) and rolled down from the road. In this accident, three persons namely Balkrishan, Sohnu Ram & Anita R/o Sundernagar, Distt. Mandi sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Basu Devi, I/O PS West.
An Accident case FIR No. 133/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 15.08.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Ved Prakash S/o Lt. Sh. Mast Ram R/o Village Janog, PO Theog, Shimla stated therein that he is running a Fast Food Shop near Court Complex Theog. On 15.08.2016, he alongwith his daughter was going to home. At about 08-30 PM, when they reached near village Janog, at the same time a Maruti Car came rashly and hit them and rolled down 150 feet from the road, caused sustained injuries to Dinesh S/o Sh. Devi Saran,R/o Jagain age 26 year & Biru. The case is being investigated by ASI Purshotam Chand, I/O PS Theog.
A Theft case FIR No. 86/16 has been registered at PS East on 15.08.2016 U/S 379 IPC on the application of Sh. Mahesh Sharma R/o Swastik Villa below Ashiana Regency, Chhota Shimla stated therein that on the intervening night of 08/09.08.2016 some unknown person has stolen away his vehicle No. HP-52A-9578, parked near Entrance Gate of Housing Board Colony, Strawberry Hill, Chhota Shimla. The case is being investigated by HC Ramesh Kumar, I/O PS East.
During last 24 hours 302 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 154 & fine realized Rs. 48,000/- and 35 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 3,500/-
Inquest Report
Deceased Narender S/o Sh. Sher Singh R/o Village Keema Chanderawali, PO Kaidi, Tehsil Chopal, Distt. Shimla age 32 years A/P running a Spare Parts Mechanical Shop at Sheelkyar was found unconscious in his quarter. On this, he was brought to CH Nerwa, where Medical Officer declared him brought dead. His postmortem is being conducted at CH Nerwa.

Accused Raj Kishore Rai S/o Sh. Baleshwar Rai R/o Village Khandwa Katola, PO Khandwa, Tehsil Basantpur, Distt. Shiwan, Bihar A/P Sharma Niwas, Shanan Sanjauli Shimla, age 27 years, arrested in case FIR No. 173/16 Dt. 14.08.16 U/S 342 354 IPC & 8 POSCO Act at PS Dhalli, is on police remand upto 17.08.2016.
