1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 98/16 has been registered at PS New Shimla today on 17.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of Insp. Vikrant, SHO PS New Shimla stated therein that he alongwith staff was on the intervening night of 16/17.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling on the National Highway towards Khalini, Kanlog etc. At about 01-30 AM, when they reached at Kanlog, one person namely Deepak Kumar S/o SH. Surender Kumar R/o Love-Kush Chowk, Labour Hostel, Krishna Nagar, Shimla, age 29 years, intercepted by them. During search, 24 bottles of country liquor, 750 ml each marka Himachal Orange, from his possession. The case is being investigated by Insp. Vikrant, SHO PS New Shimla.
2. Excise Act case FIR No. 99/16 has been registered at PS New Shimla today on 17.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of Insp. Vikrant, SHO PS New Shimla stated therein that today on 17.08.2016, after investigation case FIR No. 98/16, he alongwith staff was coming to PS New Shimla. At about 04-40 AM, when they reached near Khalini Nalah, one person namely Balbir Singh @ Gulli S/o Lt. Sh. Resham Singh R/o Love-Kush Chowk, Labour Hostel, Krishna Nagar, Shimla, age 42 years, intercepted by them & recovered 24 bottles of country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by SHO PS New Shimla.

An Excise Act case FIR No. 50/16 has been registered at PS Chirgaon on 16.08.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Kuldeep Kumar, I/O PS Chirgaon stated therein that on 16.08.2016 at about 05-30 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, he recovered 12 bottles of Country Liquor from the possession of Bhagat Singh S/o Lt. Sh. Mehar Singh, R/o Village & PO Bagi, Tehsil Chirgaon, Distt. Shimla. The case is being investigated by ASI Kuldeep Kumar, I/O PS Chirgaon.
4. An Accident case FIR No. 135/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 16.08.2016 U/S 279 337 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Karm Singh S/o Sh. Bishan Dass R/o Village & PO Deem, Tehsil & PS Jubbal, Shimla stated therein that he alongwith Chaman, Ramesh Kumar, Vikram & Bhupender was coming towards Shimla from Kharapathar in vehicle No. HP-63-4037 (B/Camper) driven by Narveer. At about 07-45 PM, when they reached near Machine Dhank, above vehicle met with an accident and rolled down from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Narveer. In this accident, Driver Narveer died during treatment at Hospital and another five persons sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by ASI Purshotam Chand, I/O PS Theog.
5. An Accident case FIR No. 174/16 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 16.08.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of Sh. Nandu Kumar Sharma S/o Sh. Narayan Sharma R/o Village & PO Chainpur, PS Traiyan, Distt. Chhapra, Bihar A/P Narayan Sharma, Azad Niwas, Lower Vikas Nagar, Kasumpati, Shimla stated therein that he alongwith his nephew Raju was coming to Vikas Nagar from Dalash. At about 07-30 PM, when he reached at Malyana, at the same time one Pick-Up No. HP-64-0817 came rashly and hit with his Motorcycle & run away from the spot. In this accident, they sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Ram Singh, I/O PS Dhalli.
6. An Accident Today on 17.08.2016 at about 02-30 PM, A Truck No. HP-07-5306 driven by Bali Ram S/o Munshi Ram R/o Village & PO Narola, Tehsil Sarkaghat, Mandi came rashly and hit Motorcycle No. CH-03D-9038 at Bharara, Kumarsain. In this accident two persons namely Munish Kumar S/o Sh. Chaman Lal R/o Kanda PO Chekul, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla- age 26 years and Joginder Singh S/o Lt. Sh. Rama Nand R/o Village Dogri, PO Bhareri, Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla died on the spot. In this regard case FIR No. 106/16 has been registered at PS Kumarsain & case is being investigated by HC Ram Sain.
7. An Accident case FIR No. 161/16 has been registered at PS Rampur today on 17.08.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Smt. Mamta Devi W/o Sh. Kamlesh Thakur R/o Village & PO Arsu, Tehsil Nirmand, Distt. Kullu alleging therein that on 16.08.2016 at about 06-00 PM, when she was going Dhamandari in Bolero Camper No. HP-06A-7621 alongwih another 25 passengers. When they reached near Devidhar, above vehicle met with an accident due to rash & negligent driving of Raju and rolled on the road, caused sustained injuries to them. The case is being investigated by ASI Ishwar, I/C PP Taklech.
8. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 134/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 16.08.2016 U/S 341 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Ashwani Kumar Dogra A/P Dogra Project Manager, C&C Construction Ltd. alleging therein that he have contract of construction work of Theog-Kotkhai-Kharapathar Road. On 16.08.2016 at about 07-30 AM, one person namely Vikas illegally/forcefully parked his Truck No. HP-24D-1423 (Dumper) outside the main gate of Company, caused obstruction to the construction work of road due to blockage of gate. The case is being investigated by HC Inder Singh, I/O PP Chhaila.
9. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 160/16 has been registered at PS Rampur on 17.08.2016 U/S 341 323 34 IPC on the application of Sh. Praveen Damalu S/o Sh. Bhawan Lal Damalu R/o Village Jaguni, PO Dansa, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla stated therein that two persons namely Kaku & Santosh have obstructed his way & beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by ASI Hoshiar Singh, I/O PS Rampur.
10. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR No. 37/16 has been registered at PS Nerwa on 17.08.2016 U/S 341 323 IPC on the application of Sh. Anil Singh S/o Sh. Jai Ram Thakur R/o Village Madhana, Sub-Tehsil Nerwa, Shimla stated therein that on 16.08.2016, three persons namely Madan Singh S/o Sh. Jathu Ram, Sudhir S/o Sh. Madan Singh & Rohit S/o Sh. Padam Singh all the resident of Village Madhana have obstructed his way and beaten him brutally. The case is being investigated by HC Sharifudeen, I/O PS Nerwa.
11. A Cheating case FIR No. 207/16 has been registered at PS West on 16.08.2016 U/S 420 384 IPC on the report of Sh. Ajay Thakur S/o Sh. Bharat Singh Thakur R/o Village Chamechi, PO Thaila, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla A/P near City Life School, Shimla stated therein that one person namely Prikshit hire his taxi No. HP-01S-1251 (Alto) and told him that he is working as Additional Secretary in HP Secretariat and he could provide a Job of Peon to him. Thereafter he gave him Rs. 20,500/- (deposited Rs. 5500/-in his account No. 55154989500, State Bank of Patiala) and Prikshit has given him forgery appointment letters for the post of Peon to him & post of Patwari Helper in the name of his wife Satya Devi. The case is being investigated by ASI Shiv Kumar, I/O PS West.
12. Today on 17.08.2016, Five Stories Building of Sh. Jogender Singh Chanjta R/o Hartkoti Kainchi, Jubbal Shimla has been collapsed due to heavy rain fall. Rescue operation is in progress.
13. During last 24 hours 478 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 222 & fine realized Rs. 72,200/- and 100 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 13,500/-

1. Accused Raj Kishore Rai S/o Sh. Baleshwar Rai R/o Village Khandwa Katola, PO Khandwa, Tehsil Basantpur, Distt. Shiwan, Bihar A/P Sharma Niwas, Shanan Sanjauli Shimla, age 27 years, arrested in case FIR No. 173/16 Dt. 14.08.16 U/S 342 354 IPC & 8 POSCO Act at PS Dhalli, today sent to judicial remand by the Ld. Court.
Accused Prikshit Azad S/o Sh. Rajesh Azad R/o Village & PO Pudag, Tehsil Kotkhai, Distt. Shimla, Age 21 years, arrested today in case FIR No. 207/16 Dt. 16.08.16 U/S 420 384 IPC at PS West. He will be produced before Ld. Court tomorrow.
