Crime Report on August 18, 2016

1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 136/16 has been registered at PS Theog on 17.08.2016 U/S 39(i) HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Rajender Singh, Addl. SHO PS Theog, Shimla stated therein that on 17.08.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling towards Bhekhalti, Fagu, Dhaleu etc. to collect the intelligence regarding illegal trading of drugs/liquor. At about 04-30 PM, on the secret information, he searched the house of Ramesh Kumar S/o Sh. Kesru Ram R/o Village Daleu,  PO Cheog, Tehsil Theog, Shimla A/P running a shop near his house, and recovered 56 boxes of English & 15 boxes of Country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by SI Rajender Singh, Addl. SHO PS Theog.

2. An Accident case FIR No. 39/16 has been registered at PS Jubbal on 17.08.2016 U/S 279 304A IPC on the statement of Const. Rakesh Kumar A/P Posted at PP Sarswati Nagar stated therein that a Alto Car No. HP-77-9200 met with an accident on Hatkoti-Tuini Road near Snail at Mungra and rolled down from the road. In this accident, one person namely Sunil Kumar (Driver) S/o Sh. Diwan Singh Negi R/o Village Mangara, PO Devidhar, Tehsil Chirgaon, Shimla, age 29 years died on the spot. The case is being investigated by SI Sunder Singh, I/C PP Sarswati Nagar, Shimla.

3. An Act endangering life or personal safety of others  case FIR No. 40/16 has been registered at PS Jubbal on 17.08.2016 U/S 336 337 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Naveen Sharma S/o Sh. Ishwar Singh Sharma R/o Village Magwata, Tehsil Jubbal, Distt. Shimla A/P Running a Shop in the building of Joginder Chanjta at Hatkoti Kainchi, Tehsil Jubbal, Shimla alleging therein that on 17.08.2016, he was present in his shop. At about 01-45 PM, above building collapsed due to negligence of Landlord for not constructed the building in right manner. In this incident, Rajesh @ Nishu S/o Lt. Sh. Shyam Lal R/o Village Virat Nagar, PO Hatkoti, Tehsil Jubbal, Distt. Shimla, age 34 years, Anshuman Rathore S/o Sh. Devinder Rathore R/o Village Shari, Tehsil, Jubbal, Distt. Shimla died on the spot and he alongwith Karan Thakur, Nitin, Ankush sustained injuries. Search operation is still continue with the help of NDRF teams.  The case is being investigated by SI Sunder Singh, I/C PP Sarswati Nagar.

4. A Wrongful Restraint case FIR  No. 38/16 has been registered at PS Nerwa on 17.08.2016 U/S 341,323,34 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Sudhir Kumar S/O Sh. Madan Singh R/o Vill & PO Madhana  Tehsil Chopal Distt. Shimla alleging there in that on 16.08.2016 at about 07.15 PM, he was coming to his home. When he reached near the shop of Santosh, at the same time three persons namely  Lal Singh, Anil & Narayan obstructed his way and beaten him brutally.  The case is being investigated by Self Insp. Narender Singh,SHO PS Nerwa.

5. During last 24 hours 473 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 144 & fine realized Rs. 52,200/- and 50 persons challaned under smoking Act & fine collected Rs.  5,150/-

   Follow Up:-

1. Accused Prikshit Azad S/o Sh. Rajesh Azad R/o Village & PO Pudag, Tehsil Kotkhai, Distt. Shimla, Age 21 years, arrested in case FIR No. 207/16 Dt. 16.08.2016 U/S 420 384 IPC at PS West.   He is reamamded in police custody upto 20.08.2016 by the Ld. Court.  

2. Accused Mohd. Amjad S/o Sh. Hazi Shaukat Ali R/o 62 Fateh Road, Hakam Shah Colony, Sarahanpur, Distt. Bijnaur, UP arrested today in case FIR No. 186/16 Dt. 08.08.2016 U/S 379 34 IPC at PS Sadar. He will be produced before Ld. Court tomorrow.
