1. A NDPS Act. Case FIR No. 235/13 is registered at PS West on 21.11.13 U/S 15 NDPS Act on the secret information given by the Police officials posted in Security Branch of this district, alleging therein that at about 8:45 PM he was patrolling in area a light vehicle bearing No. HP 52-A-4199 was found parked at the side of road near Power House at Totu. When police party reached near this vehicle, driver of vehicle switched off the light. On checking two persons were sitting inside the vehicle and during search operation a white colour plastic bag was found there. when checked the above bag and found poppy straw which was 12 Kg.500 gms by weight kept in 49 polythene bags. In this incident two persons namely Sunny Kashyap S/o Sh. Tek Chand Kashyap and Pradeep Kumar S/o Sh. Gopal Sigh was found involved in this case. The case is being investigated by HC Manoj Kumar I/O PP Jutogh PS West Shimla.
2. During last 24 hours 233 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under M V Act and 03 persons were challaned under COTPA (Cigarette & Other Tobacco Act 2005). The total amount of Compounding fee of challans under MV, & COPTA Act is Rs. 28,300/-
