1. An attempt of burglary case is registered at Police Station East, Shimla on 22.02.2013 u/s 457 IPC on the statement of Sh. Surat Ram Head Constable presently posted as orderly with ASP Shimla at ASP residence, Police Colony Kasumpti alleging therein that ASP Shimla is on leave and on 21.02.2013 at about 9.00 PM, he locked the ASP residence properly. Next morning, when he reached the above residence at about 8.30 AM, he found the bolt of main door broken. He checked all rooms but he has no idea of the stolen property.
2. A burglary case is registered at Police Station East on 24.02.2013 u/s 457, 308 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Dinesh Thakur S/O Sh. Rattan Chand R/O Abha Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar. Shimla-9 alleging therein that he is a contractor and he has taken the construction work of R.R. Valishta at Shiv Nagar, Pantha Ghati. During the intervening night of 23/24.002.2013, some unknown person stole away his fittings material from the above mentioned building. The total cost of stolen material is Rs. 15000/- approximately.
3. On 23.02.2013 at about 4.00 PM, a house collapsed at Saraswati Nagar due to landslide in which a girl namely Minakshi D/O Khyali Ram R/O village Dhar Tehsil Jubbal died on the spot.
4. During last 24 hours, 82 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under Motor Vehicle Act for the violation of traffic rules and 09 persons were challaned under COPTA (Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act, 2003). The Total amount of Compounding Fee of Challans under M.V. Act and COPTA is Rs. 14700/-.
