CRIME REPORT 18 FEB.

1.     A case under excise Act is registered at Police Station New Shimla on 17.02-2013 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act that on 17.02.2013 at 5.40 PM, 20 bottles of Country Liquor were recovered from one Rohit S/O Shyam Lal R/O Vidya Bhawan, Lower Khlini, Shimla-2 during patrolling near Forest Rest House Khalini. Accused person has been arrested.

2.      A case under excise Act is registered at Police Station Sadar, Shimla on 17.02-2013 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act that on 17.02.2013, a raid was conducted in the Dhara of Prince Hans S/O Jitender hans R/O Near Balmiki Mandir, Krishna Nagar, Shimla on a secret information and recovered 12 bottles of Country Liquor from his possession. 

3.     A vehicle Accident case is registered at Police Station West, Shimla on 18-2-13 u/s   279, 337 IPC  on the   Statement of  Sh. Pardeep Sharma S/O Puran Chand Sharma R/ O flat No. 4 1st Floor, D.P. Gupta Building   Distt. Shimla HP alleging therein that on 18.02.2013 at about 8 am, a vehicle No. NO. HP-03C-0231 met with and accident near Annadale crematorium in which Sh. Rajive Sood S/O Sh. Krishan Gopal Sood and his wife Kiran Sood R/O Madhusudan Building Kaithu sustained injuries who were taken to IGMC Shimla for treatment. 

4.   On 17/2/2013, Fire broke out in the house of Ratti Ram and his brother at village Kanah Sub Tehsil, Kupvi Tehsil Chopal causing the loss of Rs. 20 Lac approximately. 

5.      During last 24 hours, 149 vehicles were challaned under Motor Vehicle Act for the violation of Traffic Rules.

6.      On 17.02.2013 at about 6.30 PM, Sh. Sita Ram Dharewla R/O Dharewli, Tehsil Chopal informed telephonically that his brother Devender Dharewla went to Chopal on 15.02.2013 and  did not return. Today he came to know that the dead body of his brother is lying near village Shitna. The enquiry of inquest was conducted by SHO PS Chopal and no foul play was found. After postmortem the dead body  was handed over to the relatives of deceased for cremation.

7.     One person Namely Sat Pal S/O Sh Shaker Dass R/o Village Panewali PO Madhawani Tehsil and P.S Kumarsain Distt Shimla was arrested u/s 107/151 Cr.P.C. on 17-02-2013.
