Crime Report on July 31, 2017

1.    AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 136/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West on 31.07.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Ashwani Chaudhary S/o Sh. Vijay Chaudhary R/o Village Keerchamba PO Hatwaas, Tehsil & PS Nagrota Bagwan, Distt. Kangra A/P Ramesh Building Shiv Nagar Lower Totu, Shimla, age 29 years alleging therein that on 30.07.2017 at about 07-45 PM, one Maruti Car No. HP03C-0492 came rashly with negligent driving and hit his wife near Shiv Nagar Totu and run away from the spot, caused sustained injuries to her. The case is being investigated by HC Balvinder, I/O PS Shimla West.

2.  AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 22/17 has been registered at PS Kupvi on 30.07.2017 U/S 279337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Kirpta Ram S/o Sh. Shiv Ram R/o Village & PO Manjholi, Sub-Tehsil Kupvi, Distt. Shimla alleging therein that  30.07.2017, one  Maruti Car No. HP71-1396, which was on the way towards Haripur Dhar from Majholi, met with an accident & rolled down from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Rajinder Singh S/o Sh. Main Singh R/o Village & PO Main Singh R/o Village & PO Majholi. In this accident four persons namely Sant Ram, Narayan Singh, Mangal & Rajinder Singh, all the resident of village Majholi, sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by ASI Satpal, I/O PS Kupvi.

3.  A WRONGFUL RESTRAIN & CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION: Case FIR No. 41/17 has been registered at PS Chopal today on 31.07.2017 U/S 341 323 506 34 IPC on the application of Sh. Mast Ram S/o Sh. Relu Ram R/o Village Lingjar PO Sarain Tehsil & PS Chopal, Distt. Shimla on 30.07.2017 at about 08-00 PM, three persons namely Balbir Singh, Bhoop Singh & Mohan restrained his way at village Sarain, beaten him brutally and threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by HC Rohit Kumar, I/O PS Chopal.

4. A WRONGFUL RESTRAIN & CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION: Case FIR No. 42/17 has been registered at PS Chopal on 31.07.2017 U/S 341 323 506 34 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Balbir S/o Sh. Mehar Singh R/o Village Bhut Bhokna, PO Sarain Tehsil & PS Chopal, Shimla alleging therein that on 30.06.2017 at about 06-30 PM, three persons namely Mast Ram, Bansi Lal and Roshan Lal obstructed his way at village Sarain, beaten him brutally and threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by HC Ankush Kumar, I/O PS Chopal.  

5.   During last 24 hours 196 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 82 & fine realized Rs. 39,900/-, 10 persons challaned under Smoking Act and fine collected Rs. 1,300/- and 01 Challaned under Mining Act & fine realized Rs. 5,000/-.
