Crime Report May 17, 2015

1. A ND&PS Act case FIR No. 34/15 has been registered at PS East on 17.05.2015 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Het Ram, I/O PS East Shimla stated therein that on in the intervening night of 16/17.05.2015 during patrolling duty at Ram Chandra Chowk Shimla, he recovered 2.900 Kg. charas from the possession of Vikram Singh @ Bikku S/o Late Sh. Narayan Singh R/o Gain Kot, PO Bhujjal, Tehsil Rajgarh, Distt. Sirmaur. Above accused has been arrested by the police and case is being investigated by ASI Het Ram, I/O PS East. 

2. An Accident case FIR No. 34/15 has been registered at PS New Shimla today i.e. 17.05.2015 U/S 279,337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Hem Raj S/o Sh. Geeta Ram R/o Village Annu (Sil) PO Dharogra, Tehsil Sunni, Distt. Shimla A/p Tenant C/o Khem Chand  R/o Lower Khalini Bhagwati Nagar, Shimla stated therein that today he alongwith Umesh Kumar S/o Sh. Devi Ram R/o Village Annu (Sil) PO Dharogra, Shimla are going towards Jhanjiri in vehicle No. HP-63-1789 (Maruti Car). At about 10-30 AM, when they reached near Jhanjhiri, above vehicle met with an accident due to rash & negligent driving of Umesh Kumar and rolled down 40/50 feet from the road. In this accident, Umesh Kumar died during treatment at IGMC, Shimla and he sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Rajesh Kumar, I/O PS New Shimla.     

3. A Rioting case FIR No. 116/15 has been registered at PS Sadar today i.e. 17.05.2015 U/S 147,149,323 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Umesh Verma S/o Late Sh. Bihari Lal r/o 406 Padam Dev Complex, The Ridge Shimla stated  therein that he is working as Manager in LA Glass Bar & Restaurant Padam Dev Complex The Ridge Shimla. On 16.05.2015. after closed restaurant, he was going to home. At about 10-45 PM, when he was on the way to Auckland, at the same time 5/6 persons namely Pinku, Lalit, Rajender(all the wokers of Jayaka Restaurant)  & Sh. Ankush Sood owner of Jayaka Restaurant, have obstructed his way and beaten him.  The case is being investigated by HC Raj Pal, I/O PS Sadar.

4. During the last 24 hours total 182 vehicles Challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act and 01 Person challaned under Smoking Act. Total Challan compounded =88 and fine realized Rs 36,500/-

   1. Accused Vikram Singh @ Bikku S/o Late Sh. Narayan Singh R/o Gain Kot, PO Bhujjal, Tehsil Rajgarh, Distt. Sirmaur, arrested in case FIR No. 34/15 Dt. 17.05.2015 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS East, is on police remand upto 19.05.2015.
