Crime Report on April 14, 2018

1.    A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 91/18 has been registered at PS Shimla-West on  13.04.2018 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Dev Raj, I/O PS Shimla West alleging therein that on 13.04.2018 at about 02-40 PM, during Nakabandi alongwith staff on National Highway at Naltu Nalah, a Tampo-Traveler No. HP01M-1281 alongwith two persons namely Hitesh Vijay (Driver) S/o Sh. Jai Singh R/o Village Lateda, PO Cholthra, Tehsil Sarkaghat, District Mandi, age 34 years and Rakesh S/o Sh. Sant Ram R/o Village Banali PO Sadhot Tehsil Sarkaghat District Mandi, age 42 years,  stopped by them for checking and during the search, 4.24 Kg. Charas recovered from their possession. The Police has arrested above both accused and the case is being investigated by ASI Dev Raj, I/O PS West.

2.    AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 22/18 has been registered at PS Jubbal on 13.04.2018 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Naresh Kumar, SHO PS Jubbal, Shimla alleging therein that on 13.04.2018, he alongwith staff was on traffic checking/patrolling near Sawra Bazar. At about 07-30 PM, on the secret information, a raid has been conducted in the shop of one Nepali lady A/P running a Shop near Sawra Pul and recovered 24 Bottles of illicit Country liquor Marka Una No. 1. The case is being investigated by SI Naresh Kumar, SHO PS Jubbal. 

3.    AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 37/18 has been registered at PS Jhakri on 13.04.2018 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Om Prakash, SHO PS Jhakri alleging therein that during patrolling alongwith staff, 06 Bottles of illicit liquor recovered from the possession one Nepali lady A/P C/o Sh. Narottam Sharma, Upper Rehari Market, Jhakri. The case is being investigated by SI Om Prakash, SHO PS Jhakri.

4.    A BURGLARY: Case FIR No. 42/18 has been registered at PS Rampur on  13.04.2018 U/S 457 380 IPC on the statement of Sh. Shiv Kumar Bansal R/o Gandhi Park Rampur, District Shimla stated therein that on 09.04.2018, during checking of his locker at home, he found that some unknown person has broken the locker and stolen gold jewelry and cash Rs. 7,20,000/-. He has doubt that two persons namely Kapil and Ajay have committed above theft. The case is being investigated by  SI Sher Singh, I/O PS Rampur.

5.    A CHEATING: Case FIR No. 72/18 has been registered at PS Shimla Sadar on 13.04.2018 U/S 420 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Sunil Verma S/o Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village Badlawag PO Chambi Tehsil Chopal, Shimla alleging therein that on 17.04.2015, he signed an agreement with Mangat Ram to purchase the land at Hira Nagar. Mangat Ram misguided him and demanded money for his treatment. He gave him amounting to Rs. 2,50,000/-. When he visited the spot and came to know from local people that above land was registered with an NRI and the real name of Mangat Ram is Dev. As Dev @ Mangat Ram has cheated him by shown fake ID proof.

6. During last 24 hours 532 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, Compounded= 192 fine collected Rs. 88,500/- and 09 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 900/-

1.    Accused i) Hitesh Vijay S/o Sh. Jai Singh R/o Village Lateda, PO Cholthra, Tehsil Sarkaghat, District Mandi, age 34 years and ii) Rakesh S/o Sh. Sant Ram R/o Village Banali PO Sadhot Tehsil Sarkaghat District Mandi, age 42 years, arrested in Case FIR No. 91/18 Dt. 13.04.2018 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS West, are remanded in Police custody upto 17.04.2018, by the Ld. Court.
