CRIME REPORT 18 JULY

1.     An EXCISE ACT case FIR No. 120/13 is registered at Police Station Rampur on 17-07-13 on the report of ETI Nutan Thakur that at 4:30 PM during patrolling near Belu Pul along with Police staff during checking of HRTC Bus No. HP-06-2809 they recovered 1 box country liquor from Major Singh R/o Mandholi, 1 box country liquor from Kundan Lal S/o Sh. Mali Ram R/o VPO Otti and 2 boxes country liquor from Manglu Ram S/o Sh. Lobu Ram R/o Chamada in one vehicle Bolero Camper No. HP-06A-3908.

2.     An INDIAN FOREST ACT case FIR No. 121/13 is registered at Police Station Rampur on 18-07-13 U/S 447 IPC & 32, 33 IF Act on the complaint of Range forest officer Nankhari, alleging therein that on 14-07-13 some persons namely Rakesh Kumar, Hari Singh S/o Sh. Kaul Ram, Prem Singh S/o Sh. Kamla Nand R/o Vill Addu and Parkash Chand S/o Sh. Purshotam Dass R/o Vill Punan construct illegal road in forest beat Kungal Mundar and damage 8 trees of Devdar and some other plants. Total cost of damage trees is Rs. 11,96,110/-. Case is being investigated by ASI Hari Singh I/o PP Nankhari.

3.     A HURT case FIR No. 27/13 is registered at Police Station Kotkhai on 17-07-13 U/S 325 IPC on the complaint of Smt. Madhu W/o Sh. Pradeep Raj R/o Vill Baghal, Teh Kotkhai, Distt Shimla, alleging therein that on 14-07-13 her husband and father-in-law beat her, after the final opinion by MO Civil Hospital Theog case has been logged and case is being investigated by HC Dev Krishan I/O PP Baghi.

4.     A RIOT case FIR No. 138/13 is registered at Police Station Sadar Shimla on 17-07-13 U/S 147, 149, 323 IPC on the complaint of Tarun Kumar S/o Sh. Devinder Jeet R/o 16/6 Krishna Nagar, Shimla, alleging therein that on 17-07-13 at 8:30 PM when he was closed his shop suddenly person named Papu Rana and his son Shivom Rana along with 6/7 persons came and beat him, due to which he sustained injury. Case is being investigated by HC Ramesh Kumar I/o PS Sadar Shimla.

5.     A THEFT case FIR No. 42/13 is registered at Police Station Rohru on 17-07-13 U/S 379 IPC on the complaint of Er. Ashok Kumar Electricity Sub Division Rohru, alleging therein that during the intervening night of 16/17-07-13 some unknown person has stolen away ACST Conducter from newly constructed 22kv electricity line from Tandali to Udidhar. Estimate value of stolen conductor is Rs.40,000/-. Case is being investigated by SI Madan Lal Addl. SHO PS Rohru.

6.     During last 24 hours 231 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act and 14 challaned under COPTA. The total amount of compounding fee of challans under MV Act and COPTA is Rs. 35,100/-.
