Crime Report 23 January, 2015


  1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 27/15 has been registered at PS West on 22.01.2015 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Ajeet Singh, I/O PS West, Shimla alleging therein that on 22.01.2015, he alongwith staff were on patrolling/traffic checking duty at Tutikandi Shimla. At about 08-00 PM, one Tampo Traveler No. HP-01A-4582 alongwith two persons namely Arun Kumar S/o Sh. Rohtas R/o Village,  PO & Tehsil- Kotkhai, Shimla, age 28 years and Vishal S/o Sh. Krishan Bahadur R/o Village Mandroli, PO Darkoti, Tehsil & PS Kotkhai, Shimla, intercepted by them. During search, 12 bottles of country liquor marka Lal Pari (750ml each) recovered from inside the above vehicle. The case is being investigated by ASI Ajeet Singh, I/O PS West, Shimla.
  2. An Accident case FIR No 16/15 has been registered at PS Rampur on 22.01.2015 U/S 279,337,304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Gopal Thakur S/O Sh. Shyam Lal R/o Village Shanthal, PO Shingla, Tehsil Rampur, Distt Shimla, stated therein that on 22.01.2015 at about 4-30PM he was going towards Shingla in Auto No HP-50-0580, driven by Nant Ram S/O Sh. Gokul Ram R/o Village Sheneri. When they reached near Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Rampur, Driver Nant Ram lost his control and above Auto rolled down below 100 feet from the road. In this accident, Jiya Lal S/O Sh Hira Lal R/o Village Khunna, died on the spot and he sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Janak Raj, I/O PS Rampur.
  3. During last 24 hours Total 66 vehicles challaned by Shimla police under MV Act and 03 challaned under Smoking Act. Total Challan compounded= 31 and Fine realized Rs. 23,700/-
Follow-Up

1.   Two accused namely Najeem Ali S/O Sh. Habib Munshi R/O Vill & PO Madan, Tehsil Samal Muradibaad Utter Pradesh Age 20 Year and   Ram Nayan S/O Sh. Man Bhavan Singh R/O Vill Ganeshpur, P.O Mathanvidna, Tehsil Rodoli, Distt. Faijabaad Utter Pradesh Age 23 Year have been arrested in case FIR No. 04/15 Dt. 19.01.2015  U/S 457, 380 IPC at PS East, today sent on judicial custody by the Trial Court.
