1. ND&PS Case FIR No. 213/13 is registered at PS West, Shimla on 25-10-13 U/S 20-61-85 on the report of SI Harish Kumar I/C PP Jutog, alleging therein that on 25-10-13 at about 7-30 PM when he was present for traffic checking and patrolling at Totu Chowk alongwith staff a person came from power house road to Totu Chowk alongwith a brown colour bag. When he saw the police, he run away that person stop with the help of police staff and checked his bag, found 290 gms chars in a steel Tiffin. The case is being investigated by SI Harish Kumar, I/C PP Jutog.
2. An Assault on Public Servant Case FIR No. 148/13 is registered at PS Theog on 26-10-13 U/S 353,332 IPC on the complaint of Smt. Tara Devi W/o late Sh. Sohan Lal R/o Vill. Granj, PO Tiyali, Teh. Theog, Distt. Shimla, alleging therein that she is working as daily wages in HPPWD at Theog. On 26-10-13 at 10.00AM in the office HPPWD one lady namely Meera W/o Sh. Jeet Ram R/o Village Ching came to office, obstructed her duty and beat her without reason. The case is being investigated by ASI Sunil Kumar, I/O PS Theog.
3. A Cheating Case FIR No.210/13 is registered at PS Sadar on 25-10-13 U/S 420 IPC on the statement of Sh.Narender Kumar Sood S/o late Sh. Paras Ram Sood R/o H.No.10/7 Butail Building Middle Bazar Shimla, alleging therein that on 14-10-2013 his sister-in-law namely Smt. Kumad Sood told him that one Sh. Manoj Sood came to her house in the month of January 2013,who told her that he is running a Jewelry Shop at Middle Bazaar Shimla and is in financial crises in these days, requested her for help. On this Manoj Sood also told her to give him jewelry, which he will keep on rent (girvi) . After solving his problem he will return her Jewelry with interest. On believing him she gave all her and also her daughter-in-laws jewelry to him. Meanwhile he once again visited Smt. Kumad Sood and requested for cash amount Rs. 55,00,000/- approx and some jewelry . On this she again handed over her daughter-in-laws jewelry and above mentioned case to him. After that she contacted Mr. Manoj Sood to get back her Jewelry & cash, but he denied and switched off his mobile phone. On this complainant tried to contact him he came to know that Manoj Sood left Shimla alongwith his family . He also came to know that Manoj Sood did same thing with some other persons of the city. The case is being investigated SHO PS Sadar, Shimla.
4. During last 24 hours 396 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act, 43 persons were challaned under Smoking Act. . The total amount of Compounding fee of challans is Rs. 59,500/-.
