AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 77/17 has been registered at PS New Shimla on 15.06.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Deepak Thakur, SHO PS New Shimla alleging therein that on 15.06.2017 at about 04-30 PM, during Nakabandi alongwith staff on Shoghi-Mehli Bypass road near Badagaon, one Pick-Up No. HP-63C-1116 stopped by them for checking. During the search of vehicle, they recovered 77 Boxes of illicit country liquor, 05 Boxes of English liquor and 09 Boxes of Beer from the vehicle under the possession of driver Virender Kumar S/o Sh. Rajender Kumar R/o Village Damechi, PO Beolia, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla, age 26 years. The case is being investigated by SI Deepak Thakur, SHO PS New Shimla.
AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 113/17 has been registered at PS Shimla Sadar on 15.06.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Brijesh Chauhan S/o Sh. Shyam Lal Singh R/o Village Neval Tikkeri, Tehsil Chopal, Distt. Shimla, age 19 years A/P Gautam Niwas, Kelti Shimla on 15.06.2017 at about 03-30 PM, he was going to Kelti in HRTC Bus No. HP-63-3349, which was on the way from Auckland Bus Stand to Barmu. At about 03-55 PM, above HRTC bus met with an accident near Sharog Jungle & rolled down 60/70 feet from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Bus driver Sunil Kumar, caused sustained injuries to many passengers. The case is being investigated by I/C PP Lakkar Bazar, Shimla.
A FOREST ACT: Case FIR No. 113/17 has been registered at PS Theog on 15.06.2017 U/S 447, 34 IPC & 32, 33 The India Forest Act on the complaint of Sh. Rajender Singh S/o Sh. Banu Lal R/o Village Ganga Nagar, PO Bakhol, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, age 54 years A/P Forest Ranger Officer, Block Cheog alleging therein that during the night of 13.06.2017, Surender Verma A/P Pradhan GP Daddas illegally constructed the road with the help of JCB in forest land at Reuni Beat and damage the 3 trees. The case is being investigated by ASI Subhash Shastri, I/C PP Fagu (Theog).
A FOREST ACT: Case FIR No. 61/17 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 16.06.2017 U/S 379 IPC & 32, 33 The Indian Forest Act on the statement of Kamaljeet S/o Lt. Sh. Bhagat Singh R/o Village & PO Nirath, Tehsil Rampur, Distt. Shimla A/P Forest Guard in Hattu Beat, Narkanda Forest Area Kotgarh stated therein that he alongwith Range Officer Mohan Lal and Forest Guards Tarun Kumar & Vinod Kumar were on the patrolling on Sidhpur-Noon road. At about 01-00 PM, when they reached near link road towards Sidhpur and found that one Pick-Up No. HP-62-3450 was parked on the road. During the searching of vehicle, they recovered 10 logs of deodar (Cedar) loaded in the above vehicle, whereas 07 logs were lying on the road near the vehicle. One person namely Nitu Mehra S/o Sh. Tara Chand R/o Village Noon, PO Khunni, Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla has been arrested and six other run away from the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Dev Raj, I/O PP Narkanda.
During last 24 hours 309 vehicles including 26 challaned of Pressure Horn were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 181 & fine realized Rs. 70,500/-, 18 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 1,800/- and 03 Challaned under Mining Act & fine realized Rs. 12,000/-.

Accused Nitu Verma S/o Sh. Tara Chand R/o Village Noon, PO Khunni, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla, arrested in Case FIR No. 61/17 Dt. 16.06.2017 U/S 379 IPC & 32, 33 The Indian Forest Act at PS Kumarsain, is remanded in police custody upto 17.06.2017, by the Ld. Court.
