Crime Report on March 21, 2017

  1. A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 36/17 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 20.03.17 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Roshan Lal, I/O PS Dhalli, Shimla alleging therein that on 20.03.2017 at about 05-45 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Dinesh Kumar S/o Sh. Devi Sharan R/o Village Jagaidi, Tehsil Theog, Shimla, age 30 years intercepted by them near Village Dak Bungalow and recovered 48.5 gram Charas from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Roshan Lal, I/O PS Dhalli. 

  2. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No . 38/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West on 20.03.2017 U/S 39(1)(a) HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Ashish Pathania, I/C PP Jutogh, Shimla alleging therein that on 20.03.2017, on the secret information, he alongwith staff conducted raid in the shop of Madan Thakur at Badehri and recovered 04 Bottles of Country liquor marka Himachal Orange from his possession. The case is being investigated by SI Ashish  Pathania, I/C PP Jutogh, Shimla.

  3. A GAMBLING ACT: Case FIR No. 39/17 has been registered at PS Chirgaon on 20.03.2017 U/S 3,4 The Public Gambling Act on the rukka of SI Munish Raj, SHO PS Chirgaon, Shimla alleging therein that during patrolling alongwith staff five persons namely Jagdish Chauhan, Kuldeep Kumar, Mohd. Ashraf, Sunil Kumar & Manoj apprehended by them during playing gambling at public place near Chirgaon Bridge and recovered Rs. 2,450/- from the spot. The case is being investigated by SI Munish Raj, SHO PS Chirgaon, Shimla.

  4. Case FIR No. 61/17 Dt. 20.03.17 U/S 302,307 IPC at PS Kotkhai has been registered on the statement of Sh. Rajeev Chauhan S/o Krishan Chand Chauhan R/o Village Dakhal PO Kayari Tehsil Kotkhai Distt. Shimla, age 41 years, alleging therein that on 19.03.2017, three Nepalese (2 males and 1 female) come to his brother Lt. Sh Prakash Chand's Home at Neraghati and stayed at Nepali Dera in his orchard. On 20.03.2017 at about 05:45 PM, his nephew Rubil noticed that above Nepali persons did not came out from the Dhara throughout day. On this, he look into the dhara and saw that one nepali male person lying dead and another nepali lady lying unconscious with critical injuries in the dhara and third Nepali person is absconding from the spot. Lady nepali shifted to CHC Kotkhai, where doctor has declared her brought dead. He doubts that above unknown Nepali person has committed the murder of fellow nepali labourers and run away from the spot. Above accused has been arrested by the police and the case is being investigated by SI Rajneesh Thakur, SHO PS Kotkhai.

  5. A CHEATING: Case FIR No. 56/17 has been registered at PS Sadar, Shimla on 20.03.2017 U/S 420 467 468 471 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Rahul Sharma S/o Sh. Surender Mohan Sharma A/P Asstt. Vice President & Branch Head at Axis Bank Ltd. Branch Kasumpti, Shimla age 39 years alleging therein that on 13.03.2017, one person namely Rinku S/o Sh. Krishan Singh R/o Village Kanda, PO Shamthla, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla has fraudulently cash the cheque No. 044925 amounting to Rs. 1,32,000/-, which was issued in the name of M/S Liberty Exclusive, Prop. Uma Mukharjee against account No. 9110200441500391  and clear above cheque in his account No. 2431001500113478 on 15.03.2017. The case is being investigated by ASI Paramjeet Singh, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla.

  6. A THEFT: Case FIR No. 37/17 has been registered at PS West on  20.03.2017 U/S 379 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Naresh Kumar Sharma S/o Sh. Nand Lal Sharma R/o Vilage Chyanda, PO Sewda Chandi, Tehsil Arki, Distt. Solan, HP A/P Anchal Bhavan, near Bhagsu Building, Vijay Nagar, Totu, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 14/15.03.2017, some unknown person has stolen away his Motorcycle No. HP-62-2491, parked on the slab of his quarter. The case is being investigated by I/C PP Jutogh, Shimla.

  7. A CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION: Case FIR No. 56/17 has been registered at PS Theog today on 21.03.2017 U/S 323,504,506 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Bansi Lal Chauhan S/o Lt. Sh. Mehar Singh Chauhan R/o Village Lagaga, PO Devthi, Tehsil Theog, Shimla alleging therein that on 20.03.2017 at about 02-30PM, when he alongwith Sh. Ram Lal were coming to home, on the way Suresh Sharma S/o Sh. Laiq Ram R/o Village Lagana, pelting stone on him, abused and threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Sunil Kumar, I/O PS Theog.

  8. During last 24 hours  504 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 185 & fine realized Rs. 62,900/-, 101 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 11,100/- and 03 Challaned under Mining Act.   

    INQUEST REPORT

  1. Deceased Rameeta D/o Sh. Hari Bahadur Nepali, age about 18 years A/P residing C/o Sh. Devki Nand Sharma R/o Village Anti, Tehsil Jubbal, Shimla has brought dead at CH Rohru. During preliminary enquiry, it is found that deceased has patient of epilepsy & fell down in her quarter. After autopsy, deadbody handed over to her parents for cremation.

  2. Deceased Banita W/o Sh. Suresh Kumar R/o Village Bisheni PO Solang, Tehsil Jubbal, Shimla, age 29 years A/P residing at Village Sundly in the house of Narender Singh, has been died due to slip in her quarter, caused sustained head injury. She was shifted to CH Jubbal, where doctor declared her brought dead. After postmortem, deadbody handed over to her husband for cremation.

  1. Accused Ajeet Negi S/o Sh. Gabbar Singh R/o Village Mahar, PO Raika, Tehsil Pratapgarh, Distt. Tihri-Gadwal, Uttrakhand, age 31 years, arrested in Case FIR No. 47/17 Dt. 03.03.2017 U/S 406 408 IPC at PS Sadar, today released on bail by the Ld. Court. 

  2. Accused Akshay Salhotra S/o Sh. Ashok Kumar R/o Out House, Eva Lodge, near Law College, Chaura Maidan Shimla, age 23 years, arrested today in Case FIR No. 35/17 Dt. 28.02.2017 U/S 21-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS New Shimla, is remanded in judicial custody by the Ld. Court. 

  3. Accused Dinesh Kumar S/o Sh. Devi Saran R/o Village Jagaidi, Tehsil Theog, Shimla, age 30 years, arrested in Case FIR No. 36/17 Dt. 20.03.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Dhalli, is remanded in Police Custody upto 23.03.2017, by the Ld. Court.  

  4. Accused Rajat S/o Sh. Ramesh Kumar R/o Labour Hostel, Lalpani, Shimla, age 18 years alongwith 03 another Minor accused, arrested in case FIR No. 52/17 Dt. 20.03.2017 U/S 147, 149, 427, 379 IPC & 3 PDPP Act at PS East, Shimla. All minor accused have been handed over to their guardians and Accused Rajat is remanded in Police Custody upto 23.03.2017, by the Ld. Court.

  5. Accused Govind Kumar S/o Sh. Satpal R/o Village Kainthal, PO Chakti, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla, age 20 years, arrested 57/17 Dt. 17.03.2017 U/S 636, 366 376 IPC & 6 POCSO Act at PS Rampur, is remanded in Police Custody upto 23.03.2017, by the Ld. Court. 

  6. Accused i) Neeraj Dhiman S/o Sh. Ramesh Dhiman R/o Pelent View, Middle Hill, Sanjauli Shimla, age 31 years, ii) Deepak Chauhan S/o Sh. Prem Chauhan R/o Prem Chauhan Villa, Violet House, Jakhu Shimla, age 31 years & iii) Bansi Ram S/o Sh. Nanda Ram R/o Nanda Niwas, Sadhnaghati, Chhota Shimla, age 34 years, arrested today in case FIR No. 33/17 Dt. 13.03.2017 U/S 353,332,34 IPC & 3 PDPP at PS West. They will be produced before Ld. Court tomorrow.
