Crime Report on March 10, 2017

1. A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 26/17 has been registered at PS Rohru on 09.03.2017 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of HC Vijay Kumar No. 5, I/O PS Rohru, Shimla alleging therein that on 09.03.2017, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Mahender Singh S/o Sh. Pritam Singh R/o Village Shedia, PO & Tehsil Tiuni, District Dehradoon, Uttrakhand, age 31 years, intercepted by them at Seema, Rohru and recovered 11 Bottles of Correx Cough Syrup (Restricted Medicine) 100ml each from his possession. The case is being investigated by HC Vijay Kumar No. 5, I/O PS Rohru.

2. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 38/17 has been registered at PS New Shimla on 09.03.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Mahender Singh, I/O PS New Shimla alleging therein that on 09.03.2017, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Sandeep Kumar S/o Sh. Hoshiyar Singh R/o C/o Devgarh House, Kanlog, PO Khalini, Shimla, age 32 years apprehended by them near Kanlog and recovered 12 Bottles of Country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Mahender Singh, I/O PS New Shimla.

3. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 23/17 has been registered at PS Sunni on 09.03.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Tavender Singh, SHO PS Sunni, Shimla alleging therein that on 09.03.2017 at about 08-30 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff at Hanuman Mandir, one person namely Sanjeev Kumar S/o Sh. Tulka Ram R/o Village Dhayanghati, PO Kelvi, Tehsil Theog, Shimla, age 26 years apprehended by them with 24 Bottles of Country Liquor  marka Patiala Rasbhari. The case is being investigated by SI Tavender Singh, SHO PS Sunni, Shimla.

4. A THEFT: Case FIR No. 30/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West on 09.03.2017 U/S 379 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Abdul Rajjak Butt R/o Butt Bhawan near Satyam Paradise Hotel Kachighati, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 08/09.03.2017, some unknown person has stolen away his Tipper No. HP-63-2786, parked on roadside near Kachighati Shimla. The case is being investigated by ASI Bhagat Ram, I/O PS West.

5. A THEFT: Case FIR No. 29/17 has been registered at PS Kumarsain today on 10.03.2017 U/S 380 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Devender Kumar S/o Sh. Roshan Lal R/o Village Jabbalpur, PO Jarol, Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 09/10.03.2017, some unknown person has stolen away his Motorcycle No. HP-06B-3939, parked on Jarol-Thanedhar road near his house. The case is being investigated by HC Ram Sain, I/O PS Kumarsain.

6. During last 24 hours  357 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 109 & fine realized Rs. 53,000/- and 54 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 5,700/-.    

   FOLLOW-UP:

1. Accused Mahender Singh S/o Sh. Pritam Singh R/o Village Shedia, PO & Tehsil Teuni, District Dehradoon, Uttrakhand, age 31 years, arrested in case FIR No. 26/17 Dt. 09.03.2017 U/S 22-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Rohru, is remanded in police custody upto 11.03.2017, by the Ld. Court.
