Crime Report on March 15, 2017

1. A GAMBLING ACT: Case FIR No. 56/17 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 14.03.2017 U/S 13-3-67 The Public Gambling Act on the rukka of ASI Ranjeet Singh, I/O PS Kotkhai, Shimla alleging therein that on 14.03.2017, during patrolling alongwith staff four persons namely Bhagat Ram, Nand Lal, Shri Ram & Kishori Lal apprehended by them during playing gambling at public place at Gumma and recovered Rs. 4,710/- from the spot. The case is being investigated by ASI Ranjeet Singh, I/O PS Kotkhai.

2. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 54/17 has been registered at PS Theog on 14.03.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Devender Singh S/o Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village Sanahi, PO Parala, Tehsil & PS Theog, Shimla alleging therein that today on 14.03.2017 at about 08-00 PM, a Tipper No. HP-09A-4529 which was on the way towards Chhaila from Theog, met with an accident near Khol gali & rolled down from the road due to rash  & negligent driving of Sh. Jagdish S/o Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village Chairi Prala, Tehsil Theog, Shimla, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by SI Rajender Singh, I/O PS Theog. 

3. A CHEATING & CORRUPTION ACT: Case FIR No. 55/17 has been registered at PS Sadar on 14.03.2017 U/S 420, 120-B & 13(i)(d)(ii) The Prevention Of Corruption Act 1988 on the complaint U/S 156(3) Cr.PC of Sh. Jai Kumar S/o Sh. Daulat Ram R/o Village Sai, PO Sikroha, Tehsil Sadar, Distt. Bilaspur, HP alleging therein that the officers/officials of HRTC Department have not adopted the proper procedure during the process of recruitment of 300 posts of Bus Conductor in HRTC Deptt. in the year of 2004. They have not prepared any merit list and provided the job to their favoritism. The case is being investigated by Sh. Rajinder Sharma, Dy. SP (City) Shimla.

4. During last 24 hours  438 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 173 & fine realized Rs. 53,900/, 85 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 9,200/- and 01 Challaned under Mining Act.     

   FOLLOW-UP:

1. Accused Manak Gupta S/o Sh. Dinesh Gupta R/o Village Churag, Tehsil Karsog, Distt. Mandi, age 21 years arrested in case FIR NO. 10.03.2017 U/S 489(a)(c) IPC & 21, 22-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Sadar, further remanded in police custody upto 16.03.2017, by the Ld. Court.

2. Accused Parikshit Azad S/o Sh Rjesh Azad R/o Village & PO Pudag Tehsil Kotkhai Distt Shimla arresred in case FIR No  53/17 Dt. 11.03.2017 U/S 420, 467, 468 471, 473 IPC at PS Sadar, further remanded in Police Custody upto 17.03.2017 by the Ld Court.

3. Accused Bunty Kumar S/o Sh. Narayan Singh R/o Village Dhalti, PO Jarol, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla, age 23 years, arrested in case FIR No. 32/17 Dt. 14.03.2017 U/S 363, 366A, 376 IPC & 4 of POCSO Act at PS Kumarsain, is remanded in Police Custody upto 17.03.2017, by the Ld. Court.
