Crime Report on Feb. 23, 2017

  1. A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 27/17 has been registered at PS East on 22.02.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of HC Sandeep, I/O PS East, Shimla alleging therein that on 22.02.2017 at about 04-20 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Ashish Gupta S/o Sh. Hari Shankar Gupta R/o House No. 8, Pursharthi Basti, Near Hari Furniture, Lower Bazar Shimla, age 25 years intercepted by them near Five Bench Jakhu & recovered 17.40 gram Charas from his possession. The case is being investigated by HC Sandeep No. 1685, I/O PS East.

  2. A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 28/17 has been registered at PS East on 22.02.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Gopinder Pal, I/O PS East Shimla alleging therein that on 22.02.2017 at about 05-30 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Kulvinder Singh  S/o Sh. Gurminder Singh R/o House No. 10A, Block-10A, Oak Wood Palace Building, Jakhu Shimla, age 27 years, apprehended by them on the road towards Jakhu and recovered 21 gram Charas from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Gopinder Pal, I/O PS East.

  3. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 19/17 has been registered at PS Chirgaon on 22.02.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Kuldeep Kumar, I/O PS Chirgaon alleging therein that during on 22.02.2017, during patrolling alongwith staff one person namely Sher Singh Thakur S/o Sh. Pinja Ram R/o Village Todsa, Tehsil Chirgaon, Shimla apprehended by them with 12 Bottles of illicit Country liquor. The case is being investigated by ASI Kuldeep Kumar, I/O PS Chirgaon. 

  4. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 20/17 has been registered at PS Chirgaon today on 23.02.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Kuldeep Kumar, I/O PS Chirgaon alleging therein that today during patrolling alongwith staff,  one person namely Shiv Nath S/O Sh. Ram Rattan Village Dali Tehsil Chirgaon apprehended by them & recovered 12 Bottles of Country liquor marka Himachal Orange his Possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Kuldeep Kumar.

  5. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 23/17 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 22.02.2017 U/S 39(i)(a) HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Hans Raj, I/O PS Kumarsain, Shimla alleging therein that on 22.02.2017,  he alongwith staff was on patrolling/collection of intelligence regarding illegal trading of drugs/liquor towards Kingal, Badagaon, Chamola Khad etc. On the secret information, he raided in the shop of Sh. Deena Nath S/o Sh. Het Ram R/o Village Chamola, PO Chaikul, Tehsil Kumarsain, Distt. Shimla, age 52 years and recovered 04 Nips of Country liquor & 12 Bottles of Beer from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Hans Raj, I/O PS Kumarsain.

  6. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 24/17 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 23.02.2017 U/S 39(1) HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Mohan Singh I/C  PP Narkanda alleging therein  that today on 23.02.2017 at about 01-15 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff one person namely Bhag Chand S/o Sh. Thisu Ram R/o Village Shalgi, PO Madawani, Tehsil Kumarsain, Shimla apprehended by them at Dorja Road & recovered 24 Bottles of Country liquor marka Himachal Orange from his possession.  The case is being investigated  by ASI Mohan Singh I/C PP Narkanda.  

  7. AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 42/17 has been registered at PS Sadar on 22.02.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Lachhami Singh, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla alleging therein that on 22.02.2017 at about 11-00 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Akash @ Kashi S/o Sh. Vijay Gill R/o Nr. House No. 128, Labour Hostel Krishna Nagar, Shimla apprehended by them and recovered 08 Bottles of Country liquor Marka Una No. 1 from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Lachhami Singh, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla. 

  8. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 41/17 has been registered at PS Sadar on 22.02.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Balbir Singh S/o Sh. Narender Singh R/o House No. 620, Phase-II, Urban Estate, Dugari, Ludhiana, Punjab alleging therein that on 22.02.2017 at about 04-15PM, after parked vehicle at Lift Parking Shimla, when he alongwith his mother-in-law was going towards Lift on foot, at the same time one Alto Car No. HP-07B-0226 came rashly and hit her mother-in-law, caused sustained injuries to her. The case is being investigated by HC Puran Chand, I/O PS Sadar.

  9. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 29/17 has been registered at PS East on 22.02.2017 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Vivek Sharma S/o Sh. Kishan Dutt R/o Brandwood Estate near Himland Hotel, Shimla, age 48 years alleging therein that on 22.02.2017 at about 09-15PM, one Truck No. HP-53C-5295 met with an accident near Tenzing Hospital Panthaghati due to rash & negligent driving of Sh. Ashok Kumar S/o Sh. Kripa Ram R/o Village Baga, PO Ghanagughat, Tehsil Arki, Distt. Solan and rolled down 50 feet from the road. In this accident, driver Ashok Kumar alongwith two other persons Dhani Ram & Vijay sustained injuries. The case is being investigated HC Jagat Ram, I/O PP Kasumpti, Shimla.    

  10. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 42/17 has been registered at PS Theog on 23.02.2017 U/S 279 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Roshan Lal Negi S/o Sh. Rattan Chand R/o Village Tikker, PO Kaleend, Tehsil Theog, Shimla alleging therein that today on 23.02.2017 at about 08-45 PM, one vehile No. HP-09A-5181 met with an accident near Tikker Kainchi due to rash & negligence driving of Padam Dev and rolled down 800 feet from the road. In this accident, driver Padam Dev died on the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Adrash Kumar, I/O PS Theog.

  11. A RIOTING: Case FIR No. 32/17 has been registered at PS New Shimla on 22.02.2017 U/S 452 353 147 149 504 506 342 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Neeraj Kumar A/P Director, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. BCS New Shimla alleging therein that on 22.02.2017, about 100 workers of CITU under the leadership of Sh. Rakesh Singha, Sh. Vijender Mehra, Sh. Kishori Dhadwalia, Sh. Vikram, Sh. Bihari Rastogi & Sh. Chanderkant,  assembled in front of the HP PCL Corporate office at BCS New Shimla & raising their demands  for reinstatement of retrenched labourers of Shong-Tong Project. They have shouted slogans, caused hindrance in the day to day works. Due to their huge gathering, their employees was not in position  to go out or come in the office. They have also abused them and threatened with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Rajwinder, I/O PS New Shimla.  

  12. A RIOTING: Case FIR No. 41/17 has been registered at PS Theog today on  23.02.2017 U/S 147,149,353, 332, 506 IPC on the complaint of Forest Guard, Balsan Forest Beat alleging therein that on 22.02.2017, he alongwith other officers & officials of Forest/Revenue Deptt. went to released the encroachment Forest/govt. land. After demarcation, officials of Revenue Deptt. went from the spot. After that , as they started pruning/cutting the apple tree in forest land,  local peoples gathered there & pelting stone on them, cuased sustained injuries to them. They have also puncher the tyre of their vehicle & obstructed during performing their govt. duty.  They have snatched their cutter machine, Draat & threatened them with dire consequences. The case is being investigated by ASI Sanjeev Kumar, I/C PP Deha, Theog.

  13. During last 24 hours 434 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 164 & fine realized Rs. 58,700/- and 138 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 14,800/-.

  2. Accused Balbir Bhandari S/o Sh. Hari Singh R/o Village Telangi, PO Recongpeo, Tehsil Kalpa, Distt. Kinnaur, age 40 years, arrested in case FIR No. 40/17 Dt. 22.02.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Sadar, is on Police remand upto 25.02.2017.

  3. Accused Labh Singh S/o Sh. Munshi Ram R/o Village & PO Dehar, Tehsil Sunder Nagar Distt. Mandi, age 40 years, arrested today in case FIR No. 39/17 Dt. 22.02.17 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kotkhai. is on Police remand upto 24.02.2017.

  4. Accused Ashish Gupta S/o Sh. Hari Shankar Gupta R/o House No. 8, Pursharthi Basti, Near Hari Furniture, Lower Bazar Shimla, age 25 years, arrested in Case FIR No. 27/17 Dt. 22.02.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS East, is remanded in Police custody upto 25.02.2017 by the Ld. Court.  

  5. Accused Kulvinder Singh  S/o Sh. Gurminder Singh R/o House No. 10A, Block-10A, Oak Wood Palace Building, Jakhu Shimla, age 27 years, arrested in Case FIR No. 28/17 Dt. 22.02.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS East, is remanded in Police custody upto 25.02.2017 by the Ld. Court.  

  6. Six Accused namely i) Rakesh Singha S/o Sh. J.P. Singha R/o Set No. 9, Baba Building, The Mall Shimla, age 60 years, ii) Kishori Dhadwalia S/o Sh. Chhanga Ram R/o  Set No. 9, Baba Building, The Mall Shimla, age 52 years, iii) Vikram Thakur S/o Sh. Pratap Singh R/o Village Pipali, PO Darbad, Tehsil Sarkaghat, Distt. Mandi, Age 23 years, iv) Chanderkant S/o Sh. Hansraj R/o Village Chathi Nalah, PO Chhatrees, Tehsil Thunag, Distt. Mandi, age 26 years, v) Bihari Sevagi S/o Sh. Amar Dass R/o Village Koshgar, PO Bhajnoli, Tehsil Rampur, Distt. Shimla, age 47 years and vi) Vijender Mehra S/o Sh. Hukkam Chand R/o Set No. 9, Baba Building, The Mall Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 32/17 Dt. 22.02.2017 U/S 452.342,353,147,149,504,506 IPC at PS New Shimla, today remanded in judicial remand upto 25.02.2017 by the trial court.

Solan, age 25 years iv) Vijay S/o Sh. Goli Ram R/o Village Malhed, PO Ratti, Tehsil Balh, Distt. Mandi, age 24 years v) Sher Singh S/o Sh. Kuk Ram R/o Village Deyargi, PO Atgarh, Tehsil Balh, Distt. Mandi, age 38 years, vi) Rajinder S/o Sh. Billu Ram R/o village Malthed, PO Ratti, Tehsil Balh, Distt. Mandi, age 35 years, vii) Vicky @ Golu S/o Sh. Raj R/o village Malthed, PO Ratti, Tehsil Balh, Distt. Mandi, age 22 years  and viii) Mohd. Ali S/o Sh. Ali Hussain R/o Village Bindhar, PO Grahan, Tehsil & PS Sadar, Mandi, age 29 years, arrested today in Case  FIR No. 22/17 Dt. 20.02.2017 U/S 395 IPC at PS Dhalli, are being produced before Ld. court today.
