Crime Report on Feb. 25, 2019

1.     A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 18/19 has been registered at PS New Shimla  on  24.02.2019 U/S 21 ND&PS Act on the rukka of HC Dimple Chankrola No. 105, I/O PS New Shimla alleging therein that on 24.02.2019, during patrolling alongwith staff, 3.24 Gram Chitta recovered from the possession of Shankar Thakur S/o Sh. Karan Thakur R/o Mansa Ram Niwas, Sec.-3, New Shimla, age 28 years. The case is being investigated by HC Inder Singh, I/O PS New Shimla.

2.     A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 25/19 has been registered at PS East Shimla on 25.02.2019 U/S 21, 29 ND&PS Act on the rukka of HC Teja Singh, I/O PS East Shimla alleging therein that on 24.02.2019 at about 09-30 PM, during checking of vehicles alongwith staff at Vijay Nagar, one vehicle No. HP01A-6117 (Eco) alongwith two persons namely Bablu S/o Sh. Kalu Ram R/o Mehta Niwas, Sector-IV, New Shimla, age 24 years & Ridesh S/o Sh. Mohan Singh R/o Old Boutique Building, Lower Bazar, Shimla, age 21 years stopped by them for checking and during the search, 3 Gram Chitta (Heroin) recovered from their possession. The case is being investigated by HC Madho Singh, I/O PS East Shimla.

3.     AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 28/19 has been registered at PS West Shimla on  24.02.2019 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the ruka of HC Susheel Kumar, I/O SIU Shimla alleging therein that on 24.02.2019 at about 10-30 PM, during patrolling/collection of intelligence at Phagli Shimla, a Pick-UP No. HP51A-1155 driven by Ashwani Verma S/o Sh. Satya Narayan Verma R/o Kamla Nagar, Society Building, Bhattakuffer, Shimla, which was on the way towards ISBT from Lalpani, stopped by them for checking and during the search, 141 Boxes of Country & 19 Boxes of English liquor (Total 161 Boxes) recovered from above vehicle. The case is being investigated by ASI Dev Raj, I/O PS West Shimla.   

4.     AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 33/19 has been registered at PS Dhalli on 25.02.2019 U/S 279 337 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Vinod Kumar S/o Sh. Ramesh Kumar R/o Village Matli, PO Kiar, Tehsil Theog, Shimla alleging therein that  on 24.02.2019, he alongwith his family members was going to Home at Theog from Koti (Chail) in his vehicle No. HP09C-5414. At about 06-00 PM, when they reached near Royal Tulip Hotel, at the same time another vehicle No. HP30-4663, driven by Giri Raj, came rashly with negligent driving in wrong direction and hit with his vehicle. In this accident, driver Giri Raj alongwith two persons sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Jogeshwar, I/O PS Dhalli.   

5.     During last 24 hours 279 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, Compounded= 140, 54 persons challaned under Smoking Act and  01 challaned under Mining Act.

1.     Accused Pawan Verma @ Mota S/o Sh. Rama Nand R/o Village Shiva, PO Kathog, Tehsil Theog, District Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 28/19 Dt. 13.02.2019 U/S 376 IPC at PS Theog, is remanded in judicial custody by the Ld. Court.  

2.     Accused Himanshu Pratap Singh S/o Sh. Rudra Pratap Singh R/o Long Island, Pride World City Pune, Maharashtra A/P Ahluwalia Building, Cemetery Sanjauli, Shimla, age 22 years , arrested in case FIR No. 29/19 Dt. 21.02.2019 U/S 21 ND&PS Act at PS Dhalli, is being produced before the Ld. Court.

3.     Accused Mohit S/o Sh. Jawahar Lal R/o Village Pamlahi, PO Thanadhar, Tehsil Kumarsain, District Shimla, age 20 years, arrested in case FIR No. 30/19 Dt. 22.02.2019 U/S 20 ND&PS Act at PS Dhalli, is being produced before the Ld. Court.

4.     Accused i) Devender S/o Sh. Kusum Lal R/o Village Bhonda, PO & Tehsil Chirgaon, District Shimla and ii) Vijender S/o Lt. Sh. Padam Sain R/o Village Sunda-Bhonda, PO & Tehsil Chirgaon, District Shimla arrested in case FIR No. 14/19 Dt. 22.02.2019 U/S 21, 29 ND&PS Act at PS Chirgaon, are being produced before the Ld. Court.

5.   Accused Dharam Pal Sharma @ Ashu S/o Sh. Kanshi Ram Sharma R/o Village Kashlog, PO Chandi, Tehsil Arki, District Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 26/19 Dt. 24.02.2019 U/S 452, 354, 504, 506 IPC at PS West, is being produced before the Ld. Court today.

6.   Accused Shankar Thakur S/o Sh. Karan Thakur R/o Mansa Ram Niwas, Sec.-3, New Shimla, age 28 years, arrested in case FIR No. 18/19 Dt. 24.02.2019 U/S 21 ND&PS Act PS New Shimla, is being produced before the Ld. Court today

7.   Accused Bablu S/o Sh. Kalu Ram R/o Mehta Niwas, Sector-IV, New Shimla, age 24 years & Ridesh S/o Sh. Mohan Singh R/o Old Boutique Building, Lower Bazar, Shimla, age 21 years, arrested in case FIR No. 25/19 Dt. 25.02.2019 U/S 21, 29 ND&PS Act at PS East Shimla, is being produced before the Ld. Court today
