Crime Report on Sept. 25, 2015

1. An Excise Act case FIR No. 92/15 has been registered at PS New Shimla today on 25.09.2015 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of SI Deepak Thakur, I/O PS New Shimla stated therein that on the intervening night of 24/25.09.2015, he alongwith staff was on Nakabandi duty at Khalini Chowk, Shimla. At about 12-15 AM, one car No. HP-45-0020 driven by Gurpreet Singh S/o Lt. Sh. Dharam Singh A/P Tenant C/o Shankutla Niwas, Lower Panthaghati, Shimla, A/w Sumit Kumar S/o Sh. Om Prakash R/o Nirmal Niwas, near Shiv Mandir, Panthaghati, Shimla, came from BCS, Shimla, intercepted by them. During search, 168 bottles of Country liquor & 72 bottles of English liquor recovered from their possession. The case is being investigated by SI Deepak Thakur, I/O PS New Shimla. 

2. A Disfigurement Act case FIR No. 91/15 has been registered at PS New Shimla on 24.09.2015 U/S 3 of HP Open Place Prevention of Disfigurement Act on the rukka of L/HC Shanta, I/O PS New Shimla stated therein that on 24.09.2015, when she alongwith staff was on patrolling & traffic regulation duty on NH-22 and found that M/S Shop No. 9, Auckland Tunnel Shopping Complex, Lakkar Bazar Shimla has hanging their board on the public place Rain Shelter at BCS Shimla. The case is being investigated by L/HC Shanta, I/O PS New Shimla.

3. During last 24 hours 393 vehicles challaned under MV Act & 02 Persons challaned under Smoking Act. Total Challan compounded= 174 and Fine Realized Rs.90,600/-
