Crime Report on Sept. 11, 2018

1. A DAMAGE TO PUBLIC PROPERTY: Case FIR No. 254/18 has been registered at PS West Shimla on 10.09.2018 U/S 3 The Prevention to Damage Public Property Act on the complaint of Sh. Balkrishan Verma S/o Sh. Ram Lal R/o Village & PO Baichari, Tehsil & District Shimla A/P Manager in Anup Service Station, Maith Estate, Shimla-3 alleging therein that on 10.09.2018, about 20/25 unknown persons came to his petrol pump by shouting slogans and rubbed black ink on the hoarding. After 10/15 minutes they left from there. The case is being investigated by ASI Keshav, I/O PS West.
2. A DAMAGE TO PUBLIC PROPERTY: Case FIR No. 255/18 has been registered at PS West Shimla on 10.09.2018 U/S 3 The Prevention to Damage Public Property Act on the complaint of Sh. Devinder Kumar S/o Neeram Dass A/P Manager in Pine View Filling Station Shimla-5 alleging therein that on 10.09.2018, about 15/20 unknown persons came to his petrol pump by shouting slogans and rubbed black ink on the hoarding. The case is being investigated by HC Ravi Kant, I/O PS West. 
3. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 256/18 has been registered at PS West Shimla today on 11.09.2018 U/S 279 337 IPC on the rukka of HC Mehar Singh, I/O PP Summer Hill, Shimla alleging therein that on 10.09.2018 at about 09-00 PM, one Zypsy bearing registration No. HP03A-1381 met with an accident near Girls Hostel Canteen and rolled down from the road due to rash & negligent driving of Rahul Negi. Four persons including driver were travelling in this vehicle and they all sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Mehar Singh, I/O PS West Shimla.
4. AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 257/18 has been registered at PS West Shimla today on 11.09.2018 U/S 279 337 IPC on the statement of Sh. Ved Prakash S/o Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village Tuyuru PO Dhundan Teshil Arki District Solan, age 30 years A/P driver in LP Truck No. HP11C-2251 alleging therein that  on 10.09.2018 at about 09-30 PM, he parked his Truck on the roadside near Phagali another Truck No. HP64-3972 was also parked behind his truck. Today on 11.09.2018 at about 01-20 AM, a Trcuk No. HP63C-4013 Canter driven by Ramesh S/o Lt. Sh. Bali Ram R/o Theog came rashly with negligent driving and collided with Truck No. HP64-3972, sustained injuries to driver Ramesh. The case is being investigated by ASI Keshav, I/O PS West.
5. During last 24 hours 427 vehicles were challaned under Motor Vehicle Act, Compounded=256 fine realized Rs. 80,100/- and 25 Persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 2700/-.

FOLLOW-UP:

1.    Accused Saurabh Sharma S/o Sh. Nanak Chand  Sharma R/o Village Satans PO Dochi, Tehsil Jubbal, District Shimla A/P Mahunta Niwas Ward No.-4, Upper Bazar, Rohru, Shimla, age 24 years arrested in Case FIR No. 124/18 Dt. 05.09.2018 U/S 354B, 354D, 506 509 323 IPC at PS Rohru, is being produced before Ld. Court today.  

2.    Accused Rawat @ Jagat S/o Sh. Tulsi Singh Rawat R/o Village Jhajarkot,  PO Dusera, Tehsil Suanawali, District Khalanga Anchal Beri Nepal, age 19 years, arrested in case FIR No. 80/18 Dt. 10.09.2018 U/S 457 380 IPC at PS Jubbal, is remanded in police custody upto 13.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.    

3.    Proclaimed Offender Santosh Kumar S/o Sh. Kirpa Ram R/o Village & PO Khayah Tehsil Taunidevi District Hamirpur, age 53 years arrested in case FIR No. 52/86 Dt. 07.05.1986 U/S 379 IPC at PS West Shimla, is remanded in police custody upto 13.09.2018, by the Ld. Court.
