AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 43/17 has been registered at PS Shimla East on 01.03.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Gopinder Pal, I/O PS Shimla East alleging therein that on 01.03.2017 at about 10-00 PM, during patrolling alongwith staff, one person namely Neeta Ram S/o Sh. Rameeya Ram R/o Village & PO Jarwa, Sub-Tehsil Ronhat, Distt. Sirmaur A/P Devgarh House, Sharma Niwas, Kanlog, Shimla apprehended by them on Forest Road near Athletic Chowk and recovered 11 Bottles of English liquor marka Green Label & 05 Bottles of Country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Gopinder Pal, I/O PS East.
AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 26/17 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 01.03.2017 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Devi Ram, I/O PS Kumarsain, Shimla alleging therein that on 01.03.2017 at about 02-30 PM, on the secret information, he alongwith staff conducted raid in the Daily Needs shop of Sanjeev Kumar S/o Sh. Dayal Singh R/o Village Mailen PO Kotgarh, Shimla and recovered 05 Bottles of Country liquor marka Himachal Orange from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Devi Ram, I/O PS Kumarsain.
A PUBLIC GAMBLING ACT: Case FIR No. 46/17 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 01.03.2017 U/S 13-3-67 The Public Gambling Act on the rukka of ASI Ranjeet Singh, I/O PS Kotkhai, Shimla alleging therein that on 01.03.2017, during patrolling alonwith staff four persons namely Mohan Lal, Bittu & Tilak Raj & Surjan Bhandari apprehended by them during playing gambling at public place at Bus Stand Kotkhai & recovered Rs. 44,700/- from the spot. The case is being investigated by ASI Ranjeet Singh, I/O PS Kotkhai.
AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 13/17 has been registered at PS Chopal on 01.03.2017 U/S 279 337 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Ved Prakash S/o Sh. Chet Ram R/o Village Jatevag, PO Sandhu Tehgol Theog, Shimla alleging therein that he alongwith his friend Sohan Lal was going towards Gumma from Theog in vehicle No. HP-09C-2631 (Alto Car) to attend the marriage reception ceremony. When they reached at Kungu Nala near Riuni, above vehicle met with an accident due to rash & negligent driving of Sohan Lal & rolled down from the road. In this accident Sohan died on the spot and he sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Naresh Kumar, I/O PS Chopal.
AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 27/17 has been registered at PS Shimla West on 02.03.2017 U/S 279,337 IPC on the rukka of ASI Shiv Kumar, I/O PS West, Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 01/02.03.2017 at about 12-15AM, one vehicle No. DL-2CA-3543 met with an accident near Balidhar (Advance Study) due to rash & negligent driving of Vikas S/o Sh. Ved Prakash R/o Village & PO Rampur Keonthal, Tehsil & Distt. Shimla, age 27 years and rolled down from the road, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by ASI Shiv Kumar, I/O PS Shimla West.
AN ACCIDENT: Case FIR No. 17/17 has been registered at PS Sunni on 02.03.2017 U/S 279, 304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Mukesh Kuamr S/o Sh. Dharam Prakash R/o Village & PO Gaderi, Tehsil Sunni, Distt. Shimla alleging therein that on 01.03.2017 at about 08-15 PM, one Maruti Car No. HP-62C-4200 met with an accident near Gaderi due to rash & negligent driving of Pushpender S/o Sh. Devi Ram R/o VPO Gaderi & rolled down 500 feet from the road and died on the spot. The case is being investigated by ASI Om Prakash, I/O PP Jalog, Sunni.
A WRONGFUL RESTRAIN: Case FIR No. 18/17 has been registered at PS Sunni today on 02.03.2017 U/S 341 323 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Dharam Prakash S/o Sh. Het Ram R/o Village & PO Majhiwar, Tehsil Sunni, Distt. Shimla alleging therein that on 01.03.2017, he alongwith his brother Naresh Kumar went to attend the function at Hajal. At about 10-30 PM, Devender Kumar informed him that one person namely one Mannu beaten his brother Naresh Kumar, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by HC Rakesh Kumar, I/O PS Sunni.
A CHEATING: Case FIR No. 45/17 has been registered at PS Sadar on 01.03.2017 U/S 420 IPC on the complaint of Sh. Ramesh Verma R/o Verma Niwas, Shoghi, Shimla alleging therein that on 27.02.2017 at about 12-30 PM, he went to SBI ATM at Mall Road Shimla, but his ATM Card was not accepted by the machine. He asked for help from a person, who was stood outside the ATM. That unknown person changed his ATM card and withdraw amounting to Rs. 64,000/- from his account. The case is being investigated by HC Himesh, I/O PS Sadar.
A HOUSE TRESPASS: Case FIR No 43/17 has been registered at PS Rampur today on 02.03.2017 U/S 451, 323, 504, 506 on the application of Sh. Kuldeep Singh S/O Sh. Hardyal Singh R/o Village. Jalai PO Surad Tehsil Rampur Distt Shimla alleging therein that on 01.03.207 at about 07-30 PM, his brother Rajeev Kumar criminally trespassed in his house and beaten him brutally with (DARAT) and threatened him with dire consequence. The case is being investigating by HC Devinder Nath, I/O PP Nankhari, Rampur.
A THEFT: Case FIR No. 19/17 has been registered at PS Sunni today on 02.03.2017 U/S 379 IPC on the complaint of Jai Krishan S/o Sh. Maan Singh R/o Village & PO Khaira, Tehsil Sunni, Distt. Shimla alleging therein that on the intervening night of 25/26.02.2017, some unknown person has stolen away his Maruti Car No. HP-03C-2055, parked on roadside near his house at Khaira. The case is being investigated by SI Prem Lal, I/C PP Jalog, PS Sunni.
During last 24 hours 385 vehicles were challaned under MV Act, compounded = 149 & fine realized Rs. 46,300/- 115 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 11,450/- and 07 Challaned under Mining Act.
INQUEST REPORT:
On 01.03.2017, Deceased Pradeep Kumar S/o Sh. Jhina Ram R/o Village Gauncha, PO Bharanoo, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla, age 28 years fell down from hillock, in the jurisdiction of PS Chopal and died on the spot. After autopsy at CH Chopal, dead body handed over to his relatives for cremation.

Accused Sagar Thakur S/o Sh. Ajeet Singh (Nepali) A/P Village Neen, PO Koti, Sub. Tehsil Junga, Shimla, age 24 years, arrested in case FIR No. 37/17 Dt. 27.02.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS East, today released on bail by the Ld. Court.
Accused Karn Singh Nepali S/o Lt. Sh. Jeet Ram R/o C/o Sh. Bhoop Ram R/o Malyana, Shimla, arrested today in Case FIR No. 38/17 Dt. 28.02.2017 U/S 18,20-61-85 ND&PS at PS East, is remanded in police custody upto 04.03.2017 by the Ld. Court.
Accused Pankaj Tegta S/o lt. Sh. Rajinder Singh Tegta R/o Village Tikkeri, PO Himmari, Tehsil Kotkhai, Shimla, arrested in Case FIR No. 45/17 Dt. 28.02.17 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kotkhai, today released on bail by the Ld. Court.

Bhagwan Singh Tanta R/o Village Mihana, PO Dochi, Tehsil Jubbal, Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 35/17 Dt. 28.02.17 U/S 21-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS New Shimla, are remanded in Police custody upto 03.03.2017 by the Ld. Court today.
Accused Arun Kumar S/o Sh. Gian Chand R/o Village & PO Jahu, Tehsil Bhoranj, Distt. Hamirpur, HP A/P running a Daily Needs shop at Village Gharat, Jhakri, Shimla arrested in case FIR No. 18/17 Dt. 01.03.2017 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Jhakri, is remanded in judicial custody upto 15.03.2017 by the Ld. court.
