Crime Report on August 04, 2018


1.     A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 42/18 Dt. 03.08.2018 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act PS Nankhari has been registered on the rukka of HC Sanjay No. 87, I/O PS Nankhari, Shimla alleging on 03.08.2018 at about 07-00PM, during patrolling along with staff near Karali, 107 Gram Charas has been recovered from the possession of Prem Raj @ ID S/o Sh. Veer Singh R/o Village Jagot, PO & Tehsil Nankhari, Shimla, age 35 years. The case is being investigated by HC Sanjay No. 87, I/O PS Nankhari, Shimla.
2.     A ND&PS ACT: Case FIR No. 100/18 Dt. 03.08.2018 U/S 20,29-61-85 ND&PS Act PS Rampur on the rukka SI Ravinder Lal, I/O PS Rampur on 03.08.2018 at 07-00 PM, during patrolling along with staff towards Khareri, one vehicle No. HR29T-4704 along with four persons namely i) Veer Singh S/o Sh. Bega Ram R/o Village Kalaya PO Kharga, Tehsil Nirmand, Kullu, 35 years, ii) Vikas S/o Sh. Ram Singh R/o Village & PO Racholi, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla, iii) Sunder Singh S/o Sh. Sagar Dass Village & PO Racholi, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla & iv) Gurjeet Singh R/o Village & PO Racholi, Tehsil Rampur, Shimla stopped by them for checking and during the searh,34 Gram Charas has been recovered from their possession. The case is being investigated by SI Ravinder La, I/O PS Rampur.
3.     AN EXCISE ACT: Case FIR No. 78/18 Dt. 03.08.18 U/S 39 HP Excise Act PS Jhakri has been registered on the rukka of SI Om Prakash, SHO PS Jhakri, Shimla alleging therein that during patrolling along with staff, 05 Bottles of illicit liquor has been recovered from the possession of one lady. The case is being investigated by SI Om Prakash, SHO PS Jhakri.
4.     A GAMBLING ACT: Case FIR No. 111/18 has been registered at PS Rohru on 03.08.2018 U/S 13-3-67 The Public Gambling Act on the rukka of HC Vijay Kumar, I/O PS Rohru, Shimla alleging therein that on 03.08.2018, during patrolling along with staff, seven persons apprehended by them during playing gambling with cards at public place and seized Rs. 12,190/- from the spot. The case is being investigated by HC Vijay Kumar, I/O PS Rohru.   
5.     AN ATTEMPT TO MURDER: Case FIR No. 159/18 Dt. 03.08.18 U/S 307 IPC at PS Theog has been registered on the statement of Sh. Rajeev Chandel S/o Lt. Sh. Jagat Chand Chandel R/o Village Panjla PO Fagu Tehsil Theog District Shimla, age 40 years alleging therein that on 02.08.2018 at about 07-00 PM, he along with Suresh Kumar and Rajeet Chandel were sitting in “Mejban Beer Bar & Restaurant” at Bekhlti. After some time, Joginder Singh Mistri, who was working in Rajan Tyre Industry came there and sit on another table.  In between, Joginder Singh & Ranjeet Singh started to scuffle with each-other and Joginder Singh pushed Ranjeet Singh and he fell down and become unconscious.  The case is being investigated by ASI Brij Lal, I/C PP Fagu, Theog.
6.     A CHEATING: Case FIR No. 209/18 has been registered at PS West on 04.08.2018 U/S 420 IPC on the complaint of BDO, Mashobra, Shimla alleging therein that their office has issued amounting to Rs. 16,300/- under Gandhi Kuteer Plan to Sh. Aalmu Ram R/o Village Makdog PO Gaich Kohbag, Tehsil &  District Shimla and after his death last two installments were issued to his son Raj Kumar through Pradhan & Secretary Gram Panchayat Gaich-Kohbag. During enquiry, Raj Kumar stated that above amount has not been received by him and neither he nor his father has constructed the house in proposed land khasra No. 245. The cheating of Govt. Money has been occurred by miscreants and the case is being investigated by ASI Devi Ram, I/O PS West.     
7.     During last 24 hours 347 vehicles were challaned under Motor Vehicle Act, Compounded= 143 fine realized Rs.  77,300/- and 26 persons challaned under Smoking Act & fine collected Rs. 2,600/- and 01Challaned under Mining Act & fine realized Rs. 4500/-

1.    Accused i) Digvijay S/o Sh. Ishwar R/o Village Dhadi Ghunsa, Tehsil Jubbal, Shimla, age 37 years, ii) Rohit Kumar S/o Sh. Trilok Chand R/o Village Tikkeri, PO Pujarli No.-4, Tehsil Rohru, Shimla, age 25 years iii) Naveen S/o Sh. Ramesh Kumar R/o Village Shamah, PO Shawoga Tehsil Kamrau, District Sirmaur, HP & iv) Sanjay Kumar S/o Sh. Shamsher R/o Village Jhakor, PO Mandal Tehsil Jubbal, arrested in case FIR No. 61/18 Dt. 25.07.2018 U/S 302 341 323 452 147 148 149 IPC at PS Jubbal, are further remanded in Police Custody upto 06.08.2018 by the Ld. Court.
2.     Accused Ranjeet S/o Sh. Bhagwan Dass R/o  Dhara near Shiv Mandir, Down-Dale, Phagli, Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 170/18 Dt. 01.08.2018 U/S 21-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Sadar remanded in Judicial Custody by the Ld Court.
3.     Accused  Rajesh Kumar S/o Sh. Ramesh Sharma R/o Village Chanehad, PO Barang, Tehsil Sarkaghat, District Mandi, HP, age 24 years, arrested in case FIR No. 47/18 Dt. 01.08.2018 U/S 20,21-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Kotkhai remanded in Police Custody upto 06-08-2018.
4.    Accused Shyam Lal S/o Sh. Parma Nand R/o Village Manlog, PO Devgarh, Tehsil Kotkhai, District Shimla, arrested in case FIR No. 157/18 Dt. 02.08.2018 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Theog, remanded in Police custody upto 06.08.2018, by the Ld. Court.
5.     Accused Prem Lal S/o Lt. Sh. Mahtu Ram R/o Village Jaghod PO Dhamandri, Tehsil Theog, Shimla arrested in case FIR No. 158/18 dated 03-08-2018 u/s 20,21-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Theog, is remanded in Police custody upto 06.08.2018, by the Ld. Court.
6.     Accused Joginder Singh Mistri, Mechanic C/o Rajan Tyre Industry, Raighat, Theog, Shimla arrested in case FIR No. 159/18 Dt. 03.08.2018 U/S 307 IPC at PS Theog, is remanded in Police custody upto 06.08.2018, by the Ld. Court.
7.    Accused Prem Raj @ ID S/o Sh. Veer Singh R/o Village Jagot, PO & Tehsil Nankhari, Shimla, age 35 years, arrested in case FIR No. 42/18 Dt. 03.08.2018 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Nankhari is being produced before Ld Court.

RECOVERY OF TOBACCO PRODUCT.

            On 03-08-2018 Chopal Police has recovered  the 482 packets (8 Kg) tobacco product  from the shop at Chopal. The action under COTPA Act is being initiated against the shopkeeper and will be produced before Ld. Court.
