Crime Report on Jan. 14, 2016

1. A ND&PS Act case FIR No. 06/16 has been registered at PS Sadar on 13.01.2016 U/S 17-61-85 ND&PS Act on the rukka of ASI Amarnath, I/O PS Sadar Shimla alleging therein that on 13.01.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling duty towards Cart Road, Local Bus Stand, Down dale Phagli in Shimla. At about 07-40 PM, when they were coming back from Down dale towards Old Bus Stand and reached near GPO Building, one person namely Ajeet Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Mishri Lal R/o Narwal Kasim Nagar, Jammu A/P Dhara near Maha Shiv Colony, Down Dale Shimla, age 26 year, intercepted by them. During search, 4.220 gram Heroin recovered from his possession.  The Case is being investigated by ASI Amar Nath, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla.  

2. An Excise Act case FIR No. 02/16 has been registered at PS Sunni today on 14.01.2016 on 14.01.2016 U/S 39 HP Excise Act on the rukka of ASI Prem Lal I/O PS Sunni alleging therein that on 14.01.2016, he alongwith staff was on patrolling duty. At about 11-00 AM when they reached near Govt. Sr. Sec. School Sunni, on the secret information he searched the shop of Lekh Raj S/o Sh. Amar Singh A/p Shopkeeper, Kaul Dam Colony and recovered 14 bottles of Country liquor from his possession. The case is being investigated by ASI Prem Lal, I/O PS Suuni, Shimla.  

3. An Accident case FIR No. 07/16 has been registered at PS Sadar today on 14.01.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC & 187 MV Act on the statement of Sh. Govind Ram Grover S/o Lt. Sh. Chattar Singh Grover R/o Sardar Makhan Singh below Rain Shelter Fingask Estate Shimla alleging therein that he was coming towards Old Bus Stand Shimla. At about 06-30 AM, when he reached near Gulmarg Hotel, at the same time one vehicle No. HP-07-0764 (Maruti Car) came rashly and hit him and run away from the spot, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated by HC Vinod, I/O PS Sadar, Shimla.

4. An Accident case FIR No. 05/16 has been registered at PS Kotkhai on 13.01.2016 U/S 279 337 IPC on the rukka of HC Balbir Singh, I/O PS Kotkhai alleging therein that on 13.01.2016 at about 06-00 PM, one Maruti Car No. HP-10A-5233 met with an accident near Annu Nalah due to rash & negligent driving of Mahesh S/o Sh. Gian Singh R/o Village Dhar, PO Dochi, Tehsil Jubbal, Shimla and rolled down 20 feet from the road, caused sustained injuries to him. The case is being investigated HC Balbir Singh, I/O PS Kotkhai.

5. A Forest Act case FIR No. 10/16 has been registered at PS Dhalli on  13.01.2016 U/S 41,42 IF Act & 420,467 IPC on the application of Hira Lal incharge forest check post Dhalli bifurcation alleging therein that on 11.01.2016 at 5:00 PM one vehicle NO HP 51 (T) 1885 (Bolero Pick up) carrying deodar converted timber from JD Enterprises Timber Depot at Bhatti Nala, intercepted by him for checking and parked nearby the check post. On 12.01.2016, when he demanded driving license, but driver of above vehicle along with another person runaway from there. When he alongwith staff checked the above vehicle and found variation in the quantity of timber in size & its volume and half quantity of timber found fully illegal as shown in the bill/Rawana Challan. The case is being investigated by HC Daljeet Singh, I/O PS Dhalli.       

6. During last 24 hours 165 vehicles challaned under MV Act & 12 Persons challaned under Smoking Act. Total Challan compounded = 68 and fine realized Rs. 25,300/-

1. Accused Ajeet Ram S/o Lt. Sh. Mishri Ram R/o Dhara MahaShiv Collony Down dale Fagali Shimla Aged 26 years., arrested in case FIR No. 06/15 Dt. 13.01.2016 U/S 17-61-85 ND&PS Act at PS Sadar, is on police remand upto 18.01.2016.

2. Accused. Sanjeev Kumar S/O Sh Tulku Ram R/O Village Denghati PO Kelvi Tehsil Theog Distt Shimla age 24 years arrested in case FIR 307/15 Dt. 10.09.2015 U/S 26,41,42 IF Act & 379 IPC on dated 11.01.16 at PS Dhalli today release on bail by the trial court.
