CRIME REPORT 6 MAY

1.      AN ACCIDENT Case FIR No. 76/13 is registered  at PS West on 05.05.13 U/S  279,337  IPC on the Statement of Sh Bhupinder S/ Sh. Krishan Chand Thakur R/o Vill Pagog P.O. A.G Office Shimla. He is working in HRTC as driver  Bus No HP-64-2673 alleging therein that  on 05.05.13 when he drive the above Bus from Sanjuli to Tutu , while he reached near Hotel Blossom a Bus No HP- 63A-1112 Came rashly and hit his  Bus. In This accident he and some passenger got injured. The Case is being investigation by  PSI Rajesh Prasher I/O PS West Shimla.

2.      AN ACCIDENT Case FIR No 78/13 is registered at PS Rampur on 06.05.13 U/S 279,337,304A IPC on the statement of Sh. Bharat Singh S/o Sh. Khem Chand Village Kuhal P.O Dewthi Teh. Rampur Distt Shimla alleging therein that on dated 05.05.13when he was going along with Sushant Jain, Joginder Rolta, Ravi Patiyal  towards Dhar Goura in Car No HP06B-0789 at 9.PM when they reached near Dansa Kanchi driver Sushant lost control over the car and it fell down into hill below 30mtrs. In this accident  Ravi Patiyal S/o Sh Ram Singh Village Dhar Goura died on the way when he was brought to Hospital. The Case is being investigated  by ASI Bhagat Ram I/O PS Rampur

3.      AN INQUEST has been lodged  at PS Rampur on 06.05.13 on the statement of Sh Mohan Lal S/o Sh. Main Lal Village Pandahar  P.O Lalin Teh. Rampur Distt Shimla HP  when he was going for treatment to MGMSC Kheneri got sudden heart attack in auto near Bus stop Rampur. The above person has been moved to Hospitals with the help of Local Police, but M.O. declared  him  brought  dead. the above person died due to sudden  Heart attack. The enquiry of inquest is on.

4.       During last 24 hours 91 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act for the violation of Traffic rules and 12 persons were challaned under COTPA (Cigarette & Other Tobacco Act 2005). The total amount of Compounding fee of challans under MV, Mining & COPTA Act is Rs. 15,400/-

CRIME REPORT 5 MAY

1.               A WRONGFUL RESTRAINT Case FIR No. 76/13 is registered at PS Rampur on 5.5.13 U/S 341,353,332,504 IPC on the statement of Sh. Surender Kumar S/o Sh Kishan Chand R/o VPO Nirath Teh. Rampur Distt Shimla, at present he is working  as driver in HRTC Rampur alleging  therein that when he was on duty alongwith HRTC Bus No HP06-7510 on 5.5.2013 at New Bus Stand Rampur another HRTC driver namely Ram Singh of HRTC bus has wrongfully restraint & beaten him. The Case is being investigated by HC Yoginder Singh  I/O PP City  City Rampur.

2.                   AN ACCIDENT  Case FIR No 50/13 is registered at PS Theog on 4.05.13 U/S 279,337 IPC on the statement of Sh Vikram Shrma S/o Lt Sh. Sant Ram Sharma VPO Sandhal Tehsil Jaisinghpur Distt Kangra HP, alleging therein that on 4.05.13 when he was going to Matiana along with his brother Sh Satish Sharma in vehicle Car No HP63B-0984 at 1. PM  while they reached near Kadog Mode  a Alto Car No HP10A-1614 came to Matiana side and hit his Car. The driver of Alto Car Guddu Mehta S/o Lt Sh Bhagat Ram R/o Karchri P.O. Sharotha Teh. Rohru and Rajna, Heena got sustained injuries in this accident. This accident due to rash and negligent driving of Alto Car. The case is being investigated by ASI Bhagat Ram I/O PS Theog.

3.              A WRONGFUL RESTRAINT Case FIR No. 26/13 is  registered at PS Rohru on 4.5.13 U/S 341,323,427,506,34 IPC on the statement of Sh Kanwar Singh S/o Sh Lachhi RamR/o Daroti P.O.Tikker Teh.Distt Shimla, alleging therein that on 4.5.13 when he was coming  from Shimla to Daroti  alongwith his vehicle No. HP-63-0424at 4.30 PM near Umla Dwar he was  wrongfully restraint and beaten by Aruna@ Makhu S/o Roshan Lal R/o Frog and his  friend. After then  he his vehicle  had been damaged  by  aforesaid persons and threaten him with dire consequence. The case is being investigated by HC Man Das I/O PP Tikkar .

4.                   During last 24 hours 135 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act for the violation of Traffic rules, 0I Challaned in Mining Act and 09 persons were challaned under COTPA (Cigarette & Other Tobacco Act 2005). The total amount of Compounding fee of challans under MV, Mining & COPTA Act is Rs. 35,400/-

CRIME REPORT 4 MAY

1       A BURGLARY Case FIR No.44/13 is registered at PS East on 4.05.13 U/S 457,380 IPC registered on the statement of Mr Roop Chand S/o Mr.Tulsi Ram R/o Vill Majheth P.O Tuttu Shimla at present he is working as Munshi of Contractor Girish Gupta Chhuproti Kasumpti Shimla, alleging therein that construction work is on progress at Chhuproti through Housing Board, today on 04.05.13 he came to side at found that some construction material has stolen by unknown person. Total value of stolen material is worth Rs 12,000/-. During investigation  persons namely Ram Kumar S/o Sh Vishnu  R/o Vill. Bhagpura P.O. Krishan Nagar Tehsil Kirshan Nagar Nepali at present Budhi Ram building Shanan, Surinder S/o Sh Ganga Ram R/o Vill Vasdeha P.O. Sanseri Distt Vadima age 22 year  at present Kamlesh building Shilli Mehali, Raju S/o Sh Hem Ram V.P.O Loan Bazar Distt Salwyan Nepal at present residing Budhi Ram building Shanan have been arrested and recoverd above stolen property. The case is being  investigated by ASI Ram Lal I/C P.P Kasumpti Shimla.

2           AN ACCIDENT Case FIR No 22/13 is registered at PS Kotkhai on 3.5.13 U/S 336, 337, 304 A IPC on the information of ASI MUNI LAL I/O PS Kotkhai, alleging therein that today  5.30 PM when he was working in P.S Kotkhai he heard a loud sound of falling some from out side of PS. He immediately came out and saw that a big portion of rock collapsed near P.S from Jubbal road to kotkhai road. He rushed to the spot where one person namely Sumit was found dead due to fatal injuries of falling rocks, where as three girls namely Pritbha, Shivani and Richa and four other persons namely Pushpender, Anuj, Ravinder and Ramu got injured upon verification, it was found that a construction work of road widening through L&T machine is going on Jubbal road. Due to this construction work the rock collapsed and above incident took place. Negligence of L&T machine operations have been found in this incident. The   case is being investigated by ASI Muni Lal  I/O PS Kotkhai.

3           A THEFT Case FIR No.93/13 is registered at PS Sadar Shimla on  4.5.13  U/S 379 IPC & 25 Indian Telegraph Act, on the statement of  Sh Vikram Sood  JTO © C.T.O Building  The Mall Shimla alleging there in that on 3.5.13 at  2 PM some unknown person stolen 50mtrs cable wire below Padam  Dev Complex . The approximate cost of cables is Rs 2000/- . The Case is being investigated  by HC Ramesh Kumar I/O PS Sadar Shimla.

4           A THEFT Case  FIR No. 68/13  is registered  at PS Dhalli on 4.5.13 U/S 379 IPC on the statement of Sh. Kishori Lal S/o Sh Durga Ram R/o Sh Jawahar Colony Bhatta Kuffar Sanjauli Shimla alleging therein  that on 3.5.13 he has parked his Maruti Car bearing registration No. HR02F-8385 on the road right upon his house at  Bhattakuffar. Today he came to the road and saw that his car was not there. He has suspicion that some one has stolen away his Maruti car. The  case is being investigated by the SI Sandeep Kumar I/O PS Dhalli.

5           A TRESSPASS  Case FIR No. 49/13 is registered  at  PS Theog on 3.5.13 U/S 451,323,34 IPC on the statement of Sh Kanwar Balbir Singh S/o Sh Kanwar Het Ram R/o Vill. Nareval P.O. Chhailla Teh. Theog Distt. Shimla, alleging  therein that on 3.5.13 when he was at his home at  3 PM  Three person namely Virender, Rohit and Mohit entered in his home and beaten him with danda and stone. In this incident he got injuries in his all body and they also brock his two teeth. The case is being investigated by ASI Joginder Singh I/O PS Theog.

6               SC & ST Act Case  FIR No. 25/13 registered at PS Rohru on 3.5.13 U/S 3(10)SC/ST Act& 506 IPC, on the  statement  of  Sh Bhajan  Dass  S/o Sh Krampu Mal Vill  Kachhari  Teh Rohru alleging therein that  on 2.5.13  when  he  was on the occasion of  Kali Mata at Kachhari. He was intensely insulated intimation and threaten with dire consign by Sh Sher Singh S/o Sh. Tulu Ram Vill. Kachhari . The  case is being investigated by Sh Raj Kumar  SDPO Rohru .

7        During last 24 hours 158 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under MV Act for the violation of Traffic rules and 05 persons were challaned under COTPA (Cigarette & Other Tobacco Act 2005). The total amount of Compounding fee of challans under MV, Mining & COPTA Act is Rs. 31,700/-

Seizure of Vehicle on repeat offence of “using mobile while driving”

The High Court of Himachal Pradesh in CWP No. 1916 of 2009 and CWP No. 7784 of 2010 has identified the Use of Mobile Phone while driving as a driving hazard and major cause of accidents. Authorities concerned have been directed to take strict action and also maintain a database of the violators. If a person is found driving the vehicle while using the cell phone second time, his vehicle can be seized and shall not be released except with the permission of the court. As part of the follow up of the above directions, the Distt. Police Shimla prepared a record of such offenders. The following ten vehicle drivers have been found guilty of using mobile phone while driving for the second time:

CRIME REPORT 3 MAY

1.       A TRESPASS Case FIR 21/13 is registered at PS Jhakari on 02.05.13 U/S 447,427 IPC & 33 IF Act on the statement of Sh. Adarsh Kumar S/o Sh. Prem Chand R/o Davaru Seri P.O. Kharga Tehsil Nirmand Distt. Kullu, at present working as B.O. Gopalpur Sarahan Range, alleging therein  that on 15.04.2013 villagers of village  Chandpur, Sharanpur constructed the road without permission of forest department DPF Land at Chandpur, Sharanpur Ratanpur by JCB Machine. The case is being investigated by ASI Sher Singh I/O PS Jhakari

2.       A TRESSPASS Case FIR 22/13 is registered at PS Jhakari on 02.05.13 U/S 451,323 IPC  on the statement of  Sh. Bhag Chand S/o Sh. Mal Ram R/o VPO Sapni Teh. Sangla Distt. Kinnour, at present  Owner of Meet Shop at village Ratanpur Teh. Rampur Distt.Shimla, alleging therein that when one person namely Pawan Kumar R/o Sanarsa came to purchase meat from his shop but Pawan Kumar refused to pay and attacked on him. The case is being investigated by HC. Noop Ram-235 I/O  PS Jhakari.

3.       A WRONGFUL RESTRAINT Case FIR 27/13 is registered at PS New Shimla on  03.05.13 U/S 341,323 IPC on the Statement of Sh. Suresh Kumar S/o Sh Sainu Ram R/o Sher Singh Building Jhanjhiri Lower Khalini Shimla, alleging therein that on 02-05-13 at 10.30 PM when he was going to sleep his cousin  brother room near Jhanjhiri one person namely Rohit came & restraint his way & starting quarrel with him & beaten him with punches then  he fall down from the way. This case is investigating by ASI Desh Raj Guleria I/O PS New Shimla.

4.       AN ACCIDENT Case FIR No 21/13 is registered at PS Kotkhai on 02.5.13 U/S 279,337 IPC on the ruka of ASI Muni Lal I/O PS Kotkhai alleging there in that on 2.5.13 at 1.15 PM  a vehicle  M/Car  No. HP 52- 3706 met with an accident near Apple Crown due to rash & negligent driving of its owner Rajesh Kunar S/o Sh. Bhagat Ram  R/o Rawasi Teh & PS Chirgaon  Distt. Shimla. & fell down about 200mtr. In this accident driver got injuries who has been referred to IGMC Shimla.  The case is being investigated by ASI Muni Lal I/O PS Kotkhai.

5.       A RIOTING  Case FIR No. 73/13 U/S  147,148,149, 341,323  IPC registered at PS  East on the  Complaint of Sh. Prithvi Kumar Neshta M.P.E.D. Student  HPU Summer Hill  Shimla HP alleging therein that on 2-5-13 while  he was talking with his classmate Lekh Raj in the meantime  Sh. Ishan Dogra , Ravesh Negi and 25-30 Students come there and gave beatings to  him and his classmate Sh. Lekh Raj .  Due to which,  Prithvi  Kumar and Lekh Raj received injuries. The case is being investigated by PSI Rajesh Prasher I/O PS West Shimla.

6.       A RIOTING Case FIR No. 74/13 U/S 147,148,149, 323 506 IPC registered in Police Station West on the  Complaint of  Ishant  Dogra S/oSh Basti Ram R/O Deptt. of  Physical  education HPU Summer Hill   Shimla HP alleging therein that on 2-5-13, workers of NSUI named Ishan Dogra, Divyalok, Ramesh Negi, Sahil Singha, Rohit Chauhan, Rajan & Hitesh Mehta were attacked by the AVBP activist in the HPU Campus over unknown issue.  In which all NSUI workers were severely injured on face and head. All the ABVP activists equipped with weapons and rods in their hands and attacked the NSUI workers in front of HPU library. AVBP activists also threatened to attack again on NSUI workers. 7.       A SNATCHING  Case FIR No. 74/13 dated-23/04/13 U/S 323,341,382 IPC registered at Police Staion West on the  Complaint of  Satish  Rohal  Conductor Bus No HP-62 -7534  alleging therein that on 2-5-13 while he was going to his home and reached  Near Ashiana restaurant Shogi,  one person namely Kaku restrained his way. He attacked him with stick on his head and snatched Rs. 8,000/- from his bag and he  ran away from the spot. The case is being investigated by HC. Ravinder Kumar I/O PS West Shimla.

PRESS NOTE: 02-05-2013

1.       An ACCIDENT case FIR No. 75/13 is registered at Police Station Rampur 01-05-13 U/S 279,337 IPC on the statement of Pawan Sharma S/O Charan Dass Sharma R/O VPO Duttnagar Tehsil Rampur Distt Shimla alleging therein that on 01/05/2013 he was at his shop, at about 9.30 p.m one M/Cycle No HR 2L-4114 coming from Nirath side fell down in the deep Nullah, during this accident which Motor Cycle rider Rajender Rana @ Raj and Mehboob (Nepali) sustained injuries. The case is being investigated by HC Bakhshi Ram No 1688, I/O PS Rampur.

2.       An EXCISE ACT case FIR No.I8/13 is registered at P.S.Kotkhai on 01.5.13 U/s 39 OF HP EXCISE ACT on the rukka of HHC Ganga Ram No. 431 PS Kotkhai alleging therein that on 01.5.13 at 5.00 p.m 12 Bottles of illegal wine (Royal Stag) has been recovered at Mahasu Mela ground from the possession of Deepak Raj S/o Dharam Raj S/o Sh. Dharma Raj C/O Rajinder Chauhan R/o Vill-Dhangvi PO-Prem Nagar, Tehsil- Prem Nagar,Kotkhai, Distt. Shimla. Case is being investigated by HHC Ganga Ram No. 431 PS Kotkhai.

3.        An EXCISE ACT case FIR No. 19/13 is registered at P.S.Kotkhai on 01.5.13 U/S 39 of HP EXCISE ACT on the rukka of HC Dev Krishan No.46 I/O PP BAGHI alleging therein that 01.5.13 AT 5.30 p.m 12 Bottles of illegal wine (Royal Stag) & 12 Bottles (Green Label) were recovered at Mahasu Mela ground from the possession of Prem Bahadur S/O Puran Bahadur (Nepali) C/o Padam Singh Chauhan R/o Vill-Bagra, PO-Bagra, PO-Gumma, Tehsil-Kotkhai, Distt. Shimla. The case is being investigated by HC Dev Krishan of P.P.Kotkhai.

4.       A HOUSE TRESSPASS  case FIR No. 20/13 is registered at P.S.Kotkhai on 02.5.13 U/S 452, 323 IPC on the complaint of Harka Bahadur S/o Puran Bahadur (Nepali) C/o Khemu R/o Vill-Baghi, Tehsil & PS Kotkhai, Shimla alleging therein thaton 01.05.2013 at about 9.45 pm one person namely Saurabh entered his room with a stick in his hand, he also picked a Darat from his room and hit him on his head with stick & Darat. The case is being investigated by HC Dev Krishan No.46, PP Baghi.

5.       A Wrongful Restraint Case FIR No.91/13 is registered at P.S.Sadar Shimla on 01-5-2013 U/S 451, 34 IPC on the Complaint of Sh Gurcharan Singh S/O Lt Sh Jaswant Singh Saiyad Manjil House No 133/08 near Gurudwara Bus Stand Simla alleging there in that he was driving a Private bus No HP-63-3832, on 1/5/13 at 6.00 p.m and when he reached old I.S.B.T Simla some HRTC Driver & Conductor stopped his bus & wrongfully  restraint him.  This case is being investigated by LHC Mamta No 7 I/O PS Sadar Shimla.

6.       A fire INCIDENT case FIR No 92/13 is registered at P.S.Sadar Shimla on 01.05.2013 U/S 285 IPC on the complaint  of Sh. Vijay Thakur S/o Lt Sh Kirpa Ram R/o Tenant Sh Sukhpreet Singh  Gulri, Shankli Lakkar Bazar Simla alleging therein that on 01.05.2013 at 06.15 p.m Sh Gagam informed him that fire have broke out in Elysium Villa Building,  Shankli Lower Bazar Shimla & he rushed to spot. There is no loss of Human life and loss of property yet to be estimated. This case is being investigated by  HC Amar Dutt No 137 I/O P.P L/Bazar Simla

7.       An ACCIDENT case FIR NO72/13 is registered at P.S.West on 2-5-2013 U/S 336 337  IPC on the statement of  Kumari Puja  D/O Sh Madan Lal  Village Bharari P.O-Nehri  Sarail,  Tehsil- Ghumarwin  Distt Bilaspur alleging therein that she is a student of  HPU Summer Hill, while she was going towards  H.P University Summerhill an HRTC Bus came and hit her and she sustained injuries during this accident. This case is being investigated by HC Ravinder No.83, PS West Shimla.

8.       During last 24 hours 106 vehicles were challaned by Shimla Police under  M.V. Act for the violation of Traffic rules, 07 persons was challaned under COTPA (Cigarette & Other Tobacco Act 2005) and no challan under Mining Act. The total amount of Compounding fee of challans under MV, Mining & COPTA Act is Rs. 17,400/-

9.       An INQUEST report has been lodged at Police Station Kotkhai on 30.4.13 at 07.45 p.m on the complaint of Ravinder Chauhan S/O Sh. Laia Ram Vill-Dakhal, PO-Kiari, Tehsil & PS Kotkhai, Shimla stating therein that a nepali girl is lying dead outside a dera on this ASI Om Krishan along with staff rushed to spot and found that in the morning of 30.4.13 two nepali persons found deceased Manju D/o Lt. Prem Bahadur lying dead on pagdandi at a distance of about 50/60 meter from her dera.  Deceased girl was suffering from epilepsy, no mark of hurt/ scratch was found on the dead body of deceased. No foul play has been found so far in her death, enquiry of inquest is on.

1.      An ACCIDENT case FIR No 42/13 is registered at Police Station  East Shimla on 30-04-13 U/S 279, 337 IPC on the information of an accident through PAR Shimla  one vehicle M/cycle No. HP-16-4418 met with accident near Tibetan School Chhota Shimla when PSI Parveen Kumar PS East Shimla rushes the spot he found M/cycle rider Mr. Sarvesh Thakur S/o Sh. Arjun Singh R/o VPO Bhelan. Teh Pachhad, Distt Sirmaour and Monika D/o Sh. Liaq Ram R/o Vill Jarla, PO Kadiwan, Teh Rohru, fell down from the above M/Cycle and sustained injury. Case is  being  investigated by PSI Parveen kumar I/o PS East Shimla.
